To cope with requirement changes flexibly and rapidly,the existing component-based paradigm is being evolved into a service-oriented computing paradigm.The main characteristic of the service-oriented computing paradig...To cope with requirement changes flexibly and rapidly,the existing component-based paradigm is being evolved into a service-oriented computing paradigm.The main characteristic of the service-oriented computing paradigm is that service-oriented applications are developed as loosely coupled services that reflect business concerns.This paradigm also promotes business agility,facilitating quick reactions to business changes.Therefore,to enhance and support the benefits of the service-oriented computing paradigm,we must consider how to improve flexibility and reusability during the development of service-oriented applications.We propose the variability modeling approach to specify and control the common and distinguishing characteristics of service-oriented applications.That is,the key concepts of product-line technology can be used to make service-oriented applications more flexible and reusable.This paper describes variability modeling at two levels;the composition level and the specification level.At the composition level,we describe the variability of composition and the flow of domain services that fulfill business processes.At the specification level,we present a domain service that is an abstract service with variability.The use of our systematic variability modeling approach can greatly increase the flexibility,applicability,and reusability of service-oriented applications.展开更多
Encouraging citizens to invest in small-scale renewable resources is crucial for transitioning towards a sustainable and clean energy system.Local energy communities(LECs)are expected to play a vital role in this cont...Encouraging citizens to invest in small-scale renewable resources is crucial for transitioning towards a sustainable and clean energy system.Local energy communities(LECs)are expected to play a vital role in this context.However,energy scheduling in LECs presents various challenges,including the preservation of customer privacy,adherence to distribution network constraints,and the management of computational burdens.This paper introduces a novel approach for energy scheduling in renewable-based LECs using a decentralized optimization method.The proposed approach uses the Limitedmemory Broyden–Fletcher–Goldfarb–Shanno(L-BFGS)method,significantly reducing the computational effort required for solving the mixed integer programming(MIP)problem.It incorporates network constraints,evaluates energy losses,and enables community participants to provide ancillary services like a regulation reserve to the grid utility.To assess its robustness and efficiency,the proposed approach is tested on an 84-bus radial distribution network.Results indicate that the proposed distributed approach not only matches the accuracy of the corresponding centralized model but also exhibits scalability and preserves participant privacy.展开更多
Future electric power systems will face new operational challenges due to the high penetration of distributed energy resources(DERs).In Denmark,distribution system operator(DSO)expects a significant congestion increas...Future electric power systems will face new operational challenges due to the high penetration of distributed energy resources(DERs).In Denmark,distribution system operator(DSO)expects a significant congestion increased in distribution grids.In order to manage these congestions and mobilize the DERs as economically efficient as possible in the future distribution grid,the brand new notion of flexibility clearing house(FLECH)is proposed in this paper.With the aggregator-based offers,the proposed FLECH market has the ability to promote small scale DERs(upto 5 MW)for actively participating in trading flexibility services,which are stipulated accommodating the various requirements of DSO.Accordingly,the trading setups and processes of the FLECH market are also illustrated in detail.A quantitative example is utilized to illustrate the formulation and classification of flexibility services provided by the DERs in the proposed FLECH market.展开更多
