A controller with multiple time delays is presented. In this controller, time delay effect is incorporated in the mathematical model of the dynamic system throughout the control design and no approximations and assumptions are made in the controller derivation, so the system stability is easily guaranteed. Furthermore, this controller is available for both small time delays and large time delays. The feasibility and efficiency of the proposed controller are verified through numerical simulations in the end of this paper. 展开更多

Flexible job shop scheduling problem(FJSP)is the core decision-making problem of intelligent manufacturing production management.The Harris hawk optimization(HHO)algorithm,as a typical metaheuristic algorithm,has been widely employed to solve scheduling problems.However,HHO suffers from premature convergence when solving NP-hard problems.Therefore,this paper proposes an improved HHO algorithm(GNHHO)to solve the FJSP.GNHHO introduces an elitism strategy,a chaotic mechanism,a nonlinear escaping energy update strategy,and a Gaussian random walk strategy to prevent premature convergence.A flexible job shop scheduling model is constructed,and the static and dynamic FJSP is investigated to minimize the makespan.This paper chooses a two-segment encoding mode based on the job and the machine of the FJSP.To verify the effectiveness of GNHHO,this study tests it in 23 benchmark functions,10 standard job shop scheduling problems(JSPs),and 5 standard FJSPs.Besides,this study collects data from an agricultural company and uses the GNHHO algorithm to optimize the company’s FJSP.The optimized scheduling scheme demonstrates significant improvements in makespan,with an advancement of 28.16%for static scheduling and 35.63%for dynamic scheduling.Moreover,it achieves an average increase of 21.50%in the on-time order delivery rate.The results demonstrate that the performance of the GNHHO algorithm in solving FJSP is superior to some existing algorithms. 展开更多

This paper describes a simulation-based intelligent decision support system (IDSS) for real time control of a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) with machine and tool flexibility. The manufacturing processes involved in FMS are complicated since each operation may be done by several machining centers. The system design approach is built around the theory of dynamic supervisory control based on a rule-based expert system. The paper considers flexibility in operation assignment and scheduling of multi-purpose machining centers which have different tools with their own efficiency. The architecture of the proposed controller consists of a simulator module coordinated with an IDSS via a real time event handler for implementing inter-process synchronization. Formulations and numerical example of a rigid- flexible-body three pendulums system moving in space are given to validate the method. Using the new method to study the dynamics of multi-rigid-flexible-body system mov- ing in space, the global dynamics equations of system are not needed, the orders of involved matrices of the system are very low and the computational speed is high, irrespec- tive of the size of the system. This system can diagnose not only definite fault phenomena, but also fuzzy, uncertain fault phenomena as well. Fault diagnostic knowledge base for the power equipment has been founded hierarchy architecture model and the method of fault tree analysis. A novel methodology is presented for simultaneously optimizing synthesis and cleaning schedule of flexible heat exchanger network(HEN)by genetic/simulated annealing algorithms(GA/SA).Through taking into account the effect of fouling process on optimal network topology,a preliminary network structure possessing two-fold oversynthesis is obtained by means of pseudo-temperature enthalpy(T-H)diagram approach prior to simultaneous optimization.Thus,the computational complexity of this problem classified as NP(Non-deterministic Polynomial)-complete can be significantly reduced.The promising matches resulting from preliminary synthesis stage are further optimized in parallel with their heat exchange areas and cleaning schedule.In addition,a novel continu- ous time representation is introduced to subdivide the given time horizon into several variable-size intervals according to operating periods of heat exchangers,and then flexible HEN synthesis can be implemented in dynamic manner.A numerical example is provided to demonstrate that the presented strategy is feasible to decrease the total annual cost(TAC)and further improve network flexibility,but even more important,it may be applied to solve large-scale flexible HEN synthesis problems. 展开更多

AIM To evaluate the safety and efficacy of sedating pediatric patients for outpatient flexible bronchoscopy.METHODS A retrospective chart review was conducted for all children, age 17 years or under who underwent flexible bronchoscopy under deep sedation in an outpatient hospital-based setting. Two sedation regimens were used; propofol only or ketamine prior to propofol. Patients were divided into three age groups; infants(less than 12 mo), toddlers(1-3 years) and children(4-17 years). Demographics, indication for bronchoscopy, sedative dosing, sedation and recovery time and adverse events were reviewed.RESULTS Of the total 458 bronchoscopies performed, propofol only regimen was used in 337(74%) while propofol and ketamine was used in 121(26%). About 99% of the procedures were successfully completed. Children in the propofol + ketamine group tend to be youngerand have lower weight compared to the propofol only group. Adverse events including transient hypoxemia and hypotension occurred in 8% and 24% respectively. Median procedure time was 10 min while the median discharge time was 35 min. There were no differences in the indication of the procedure, propofol dose, procedure or recovery time in either sedative regimen. When compared to other age groups, infants had a higher incidence of hypoxemia.CONCLUSION Children can be effectively sedated for outpatient flexible bronchoscopy with high rate of success. This procedure should be performed under vigilance of highly trained providers. 展开更多

The controller is based on the fractional calculus and nonsingular terminal sliding mode control technique,and it guarantees the convergence of attitude tracking error in finite time rather than in the asymptotic sense. With respect to the controller,a fractional order sliding surface is given,the corresponding control scheme is proposed based on Lyapunov stability theory to guarantee the sliding condition,and the finite time stability of the whole close loop system is also proven. Although computer architectures incorporate fast processing hardware resources, high performance real-time implementation of a complex control algorithm requires an efficient design and software coding of the algorithm so as to exploit special features of the hardware and avoid associated architecture shortcomings. This paper presents an investigation into the analysis and design mechanisms that will lead to reduction in the execution time in implementing real-time control algorithms. The proposed mechanisms are exemplified by means of one algorithm, which demonstrates their applicability to real-time applications. An active vibration control (AVC) algorithm for a flexible beam system simulated using the finite difference (FD) method is considered to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. A comparative performance evaluation of the proposed design mechanisms is presented and discussed through a set of experiments. 展开更多

为解决更符合现实情形的模糊质检时间柔性作业车间动态调度问题,以最小化完工时间为目标,立足紧急插单、机器在空载运行时发生故障和机器在加工工件时发生故障的三种故障情形,建立了带模糊质检时间的机器故障、紧急插单重调度模型。设... 为解决更符合现实情形的模糊质检时间柔性作业车间动态调度问题,以最小化完工时间为目标,立足紧急插单、机器在空载运行时发生故障和机器在加工工件时发生故障的三种故障情形,建立了带模糊质检时间的机器故障、紧急插单重调度模型。设计了基于元胞自动机邻域搜索和随机重启爬坡算法的改进遗传算法求解模型,即针对车间调度问题中存在的订单排序和机器选择双决策问题特征,设计包含工序码和机器码的双层编码方案,并基于遗传算法思想对工序码和机器码设计相应的交叉、变异等遗传操作。同时,将遗传操作应用于基于元胞自动机的邻域搜索算法框架中以增强算法全局搜索能力,整合基于关键工序的随机重启爬坡算法以提高算法局部开发能力。实验选取10个柔性车间调度算例验证了所提算法的有效性,同时,测试1个模糊质检时间柔性车间调度算例验证了模型的有效性。另外,实验也测试了不同故障场景,得出该动态调度方法优于实际场景中常使用的“工件后移”调度策略。 展开更多

节能调度是面向绿色制造的车间调度问题,已成为制造领域的研究热点。针对具有机器和工人双资源约束的柔性作业车间,综合考虑工人学习效应和工件运输时间的影响,以最小化车间能耗为目标,提出一种改进的生物迁徙算法(MBMA)。该算法采用基... 节能调度是面向绿色制造的车间调度问题,已成为制造领域的研究热点。针对具有机器和工人双资源约束的柔性作业车间,综合考虑工人学习效应和工件运输时间的影响,以最小化车间能耗为目标,提出一种改进的生物迁徙算法(MBMA)。该算法采用基于工件-机器-工人的三段式编码方法表示调度解,并设计了一种种群初始化方法,以改善初始调度解的质量。考虑到基本生物迁徙算法无法直接应用于离散车间调度问题,提出一种基于交叉操作的离散迁徙算子,使算法能够直接在离散调度空间内进行搜索。此外,在迁徙算子中引入转换概率动态调整策略,以平衡算法探索与开发能力,另外增加了一种记忆池机制,避免算法过早收敛。对于个体更新算子,设计了一种局部搜索算法嵌入其中,以增强算法局部搜索能力。大量实验结果表明,MBMA算法的计算结果优于其他算法。 展开更多
