We devise a computationally effective technique for interpretation of fluid injection in a wellbore interval with multiple geological layers based on the bottomhole pressure measurements. The permeability, porosity and compressibility in each layer are initially setup, while the skin factor and partitioning of injected fluids among the zones during the injection are found as a solution of the problem. The problem takes into account Darcy flow and chemical interactions between the injected acids, diverter fluids and reservoir rock typical in modern matrix acidizing treatments. Using the synchronously recorded injection rate and bottomhole pressure, we evaluate skin factor changes in each layer and actual fluid placement into the reservoir during different pumping jobs: matrix acidizing, water control, sand control, scale squeezes and water flooding. The model is validated by comparison with a simulator used in industry. It gives opportunity to estimate efficiency of a matrix treatment job, role of every injection stage, and control fluid delivery to each layer in real time. The presented interpretation technique significantly improves accuracy of matrix treatments analysis by coupling the hydrodynamic model with records of pressure and injection rate during the treatment.展开更多

Ther...In the case of reverse drag of normal faulting, the displacement and horizontal extension are determined based on the established equations for the three mechanisms: rigid body, vertical shear and inclined shear. There are three sub-cases of basal detachment for the rigid body model: horizontal detachment, antithetic detachment and synthetic detachment. For the rigid body model, the established equations indicate that the total displacement on the synthetic base (Dt2) is the largest, that on the horizontal base (Dt1) is moderate, and that on the antithetic base (Dt3) is the smallest. On the other hand, the value of (Dt1) is larger than the displacement for the vertical shear (Dt4). The value of (Dt1) is larger than or less than the displacement for the inclined shear (Dt5) depending on the original fault dip δ0, bedding angle θ, and the angle of shear direction β. For all original parameters, the value of Dt5 is less than the value of Dt4. Also, by comparing three rotation mechanisms, we find that the inclined shear produces largest extension, the rigid body model with horizontal detachment produces the smallest extension, and the vertical shear model produces moderate extension.展开更多

Furthermore, low-frequency data are applied in hydrocarbon exploration; thus, we need to better use low-frequency data. In seismic wavelets, the loss of low-frequency data decreases the main lobe amplitude and increases the first side lobe amplitude and results in the periodic shocking attenuation of the secondary side lobe. The loss of low frequencies likely produces pseudo-events and the false appearance of higher resolution. We use models to examine the removal of low-frequency data in seismic data processing. The results suggest that the removal of low frequencies create distortions, especially for steep structures and thin layers. We also perform low-frequency expansion using compressed sensing and sparse constraints and develop the corresponding module. Finally, we apply the proposed method to real common image point gathers with good results.展开更多

文摘This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random inputs. The method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data set.In the reanalysis,we employ substructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary due to random inputs. This allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output data set.Combining substructuring with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing accuracy.Consequently, the GPCE with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving, thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional inputs. The numerical results obtained from a simple structure indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

文摘A novel temperature and salinity discriminative sensing method based on forward Brillouin scattering(FBS)in 1060-XP single-mode fiber(SMF)is proposed. The measured frequency shifts corresponding to different radial acoustic modes in 1060-XP SMF show different sensitivities to temperature and salinity.Based on the new phenomenon that different radial acoustic modes have different frequency shift-temperature and frequency shift-salinity coefficients,we propose a novel method for simultaneously measuring temperature and salinity by measuring the frequency shift changes of two FBS scattering peaks. In a proof-of-concept experiment, the temperature and salinity measurement errors are 0.12℃and 0.29%,respectively.The proposed method for simultaneously measuring temperature and salinity has the potential applications such as ocean surveying, food manufacturing and pharmaceutical engineering.
文摘In the case of reverse drag of normal faulting, the displacement and horizontal extension are determined based on the established equations for the three mechanisms: rigid body, vertical shear and inclined shear. Also, by comparing three rotation mechanisms, we find that the inclined shear produces largest extension, the rigid body model with horizontal detachment produces the smallest extension, and the vertical shear model produces moderate extension.

文摘A novel indicator called price-citation was proposed.Based on the company integrated patent database of China listed companies of common stocks(A-shares)with the stock price and the stock return rate data, more than two thousand of A-shares from 2017 to 2020 were selected. The effect of the traditional patent forward citation and the price-citation for discriminating the stock return rate was thoroughly analyzed via ANOVA.The A-shares of forward citation counts above the average showed higher stock return rate means than the A-shares having patents but receiving no forward citations. The price-citation,combining both the financial and patent attributes, defined as the multiplication of the current stock price and the currently receiving forward citation count, showed its excellence in discriminating the stock return rate. The A-shares of higher price-citation showed significantly higher stock return rate means while the A-shares of lower price-citation showed significantly lowest stock return rate means. The price-citation effect had not been changed by COVID-19 though COVID-19 affected the social and economic environment to a considerable extent in 2020.

文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle transient electromagnetic(UAV-TEM)is a novel airborne exploration method that offers advantages such as low cost, simple operation, high exploration efficiency and suitability for near-surface exploration in complex terrain areas. To improve the accuracy of data interpretation in this method, the authors conducted a systematic three-dimensional(3D)forward modeling and inversion of the UAV-TEM.This study utilized the finite element method based on unstructured tetrahedral elements and employed the second-order backward Euler method for time discretization. This allowed for accurate 3D modeling and accounted for the effects of complex terrain.Based on these, the influence characteristics of flight altitudes and the sizes, burial depths, and resistivities of anomalies are compared and analyzed to explore the UAV-TEM systems’exploration capability.Lastly, four typical geoelectrical models of landslides are designed, and the inversion method based on the Gauss-Newton optimization method is used to image the landslide models and analyze the imaging effect of the UAV-TEM method on landslide geohazards.Numerical results showed that UAV-TEM could have better exploration resolution and fine imaging of nearsurface structures, providing important technical support for monitoring, early warning, and preventing landslides and other geological hazards.
文摘The superparamagnetic effect arises from the superparamagnetism exhibited by a multitude of nano-sized magnetic mineral particles under an external electric field. This phenomenon manifests in transient electromagnetic data primarily as a deceleration in the attenuation rate of late-stage signals,a characteristic difficult to discern directly from airborne transient electromagnetic signals, consequently leading to significant misinterpretations of subterranean electrical structures. This study embarks on 3D forward modeling of airborne electromagnetic responses in the frequency domain, accounting for the superparamagnetic effect, utilizing an unstructured finite element method.Superparamagnetic responses in the time domain were obtained through frequency-time conversion. This investigation explores the influence of various parameters-such as magnetic susceptibility, time constants, and flight altitude-on the superparamagnetic effect by examining the response characteristics of typical targets.Findings indicate that in its late stages, the superparamagnetic effect can induce a relative anomaly of up to 300%.There is a positive correlation between magnetic susceptibility and the strength of the superparamagnetic effect. The influence of the time constant's upper and lower limits on the superparamagnetic effect is minimal;however, the range between these limits significantly affects the effect, showing a negative correlation with its intensity.Higher flight altitudes weaken the superparamagnetic signal. The impact is most pronounced when superparamagnetic minerals are shallowly buried, effectively shielding the underlying geology with the characteristics of a good conductivity anomaly, but this effect diminishes with greater depth. The insights from this study provide a theoretical framework for a deeper understanding of the superparamagnetic effect in transient electromagnetic signals and for more accurate interpretations of subterranean geological and electrical structures.

文摘The use of low-frequency seismic data improves the seismic resolution, and the imaging and inversion quality. Finally, we apply the proposed method to real common image point gathers with good results.
