Estimation and model testing are unified using this approach which also leads to distribution free chi-square tests. The estimation methods developed are also related to estimation methods based on generalized estimating equations but with the advantage of having statistics for model testing. The methods proposed overcome numerical problems often encountered when the probability mass functions have no closed forms which prevent the use of maximum likelihood (ML) procedures and in general, ML procedures do not lead to distribution free model testing statistics.展开更多

It is proved in a general sense that the potentials should be composed of a forced wave component,a free wave component and a local disturbance component. The radiation condition of the forced wave component should correspond to the far-field asymptotic behaviour of the pressure distribution,Hence, the formulation of radiation conditions for the second-order diffraction potentials has theoretically become clear,The radiation conditions for two-and three-dimensional problems are explicitly given in the paper.展开更多

Stereo vision can obtain 3D infor- mation of objects using disparity between two images captured by a stereo camera. However, due to lack of per- spectives for 3D objects in this technique, accurate 3D information may not be generated and the number of viewing points is limited. By contrast, multi-view or super multi-view imaging techniques can obtain more accurate 3D information because they use multiple cameras for pickup of 3D objects so that more perspec- tives and viewing points of 3D objects can be recorded.展开更多
