A weak point of these formulations is the inclusion of the proper planar-layered Green’s Functions (GFs), because of their computational cost. To overcome this problem, usually the GFs are decomposed into a quasi-dynamic term and a dynamic one. Under suitable approximations, the ?rst may be given in closed form, whereas the second is approximated. Starting from a general criterion for this decomposition, in this paper we derive some simple criteria for using the closed-form quasi-dynamic GFs instead of the complete GFs, with reference to the problem of evaluating the full-wave current distribution along microstrips. These criteria are based on simple relations between frequency, line length, dielectric thickness and permittivity. The layered GFs have been embedded into a full-wave transmission line model and the results are ?rst benchmarked with respect to a full-wave numerical 3D tool, then used to assess the proposed criteria.展开更多

Our algorithm uses a specific kernel function, which is adopted by Liu and Sun, to deduce the feasibility step. By using the step, it is remarkable that in each iteration of the algorithm it needs only one full-NT step, and can obtain an iterate approximate to the central path. Moreover, it is proved that the iterative bound corresponds with the known optimal one for semidefinite optimization problems.展开更多

One of the most promising and feasible nano-technologies is CNT(Carbon Nanotube) based transistors. In this paper, a high-speed and energy-efficient CNFET(Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistor) based Full Adder cell is proposed for nanotechnology. This design is simulated in various supply voltages, frequencies and load capacitors using HSPICE circuit simulator. Significant improvement is achieved in terms of speed and PDP(Power-Delay-Product) in comparison with other classical and state-of-the-art CMOS and CNFET-based designs, existing in the literature. The proposed Full Adder can also drive large load capacitance and works properly in low supply voltages.展开更多

The multi-electrode DCEEG recordings have been performed during the hyperventilation (frequent deep one-minute long breathing motions) and the hypoventilation (voluntary breath holding). It has been shown that the ischemic state occurring in hyperventilation is accompanied by the negative shift of DC potential and increase in the EEG rhythms amplitude. A distention of brain vessels during hypoventilation (voluntary breath-hold) and an improvement of blood supply and thus improvement of vital and functional state of neurons gave rise to an increase in the EEG rhythm amplitude too, though against a background of a positive DC-potential shift. Obtained results are considered with context the generation of the qualitatively different functional states of brain cells during hyper- and hypoventilation which is reflected in their resting potential and activity. The conducted study show the prospects for DCEEG and the method we used for DCEEG data processing to understand the character of functional and metabolic changes in the nervous tissue.展开更多

However, there are many problems to be solved in practical application. Firstly,it is the strong nonlinear problem between the seismic wave field and inversion parameters; secondly, the lack of low-frequency information in seismic records. In this study, the envelope is used as objective function inversion to provide the inversion result for the multi-scale full waveform inversion as the initial model, solving the lack of low-frequency information in seismic records. Taking the envelope of seismic records as the objective function in combination of multi-scale full waveform inversion became a new inversion strategy, which naturally achieved the compensation of shortage of low-frequency information and inversion from low frequency to high frequency, reducing the non-linearity in the inversion process. The comparison of the result of full waveform inversion of the initial model built through envelope inversion with the result of the conventional multi-scale full waveform inversion indicates the effectiveness of envelope inversion for the recovery of low-frequency information in seismic records.展开更多
