THIRD-ORDER DIFFERENTIAL SUBORDINATION RESULTS FOR ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS INVOLVING THE GENERALIZED BESSEL FUNCTIONS

In the present paper, we derive some third-order differential subordination results for analytic functions in the open unit disk, using the operator Bcκf by means of normalized form of the generalized Bessel functions of the first kind, which is defined as z（Bκ＋1^c f（z））′= κBκ^c f（z）-（κ- 1）Bκ＋1^c f（z）,where b, c, p ∈ C and κ = p ＋（b ＋ 1）/2 ∈ C ／ Z0^-（Z0^-= {0,-1,-2, … }）. The results are obtained by considering suitable classes of admissible functions. Various known or new special cases of our main results are also pointed out.

Application of Theoretical Growth Functions for Mongolian Oak(Qurcus Mongolica)

Coefficient Estimates for Certain Subclasses of Bi-Univalent Ma-Minda Mocanu-Convex Functions

In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new subclass of the function class ∑. of bi-univalent functions of the Mocanu-convex type defined in the open unit disk, satisfy Ma and Minda subordination conditions. Furthermore, we find estimates on the Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients ｜a2｜ and ｜a3｜ for functions in the new subclass introduced here. Further Application of Hohlov operator to this class is obtained. Several （known or new） consequences of the results are also pointed out.

CONSTRUCTION OF SOME KIESSWETTER-LIKE FUNCTIONS-THE CONTINUOUS BUT NON-DIFFERENT-IABLE FUNCTION DEFINED BY QUINARY DECIMAL

In this paper, we construct some continuous but non-differentiable functions defined by quinary dec-imal, that are Kiesswetter-like functions. We discuss their properties, then investigate the Hausdorff dimensions of graphs of these functions and give a detailed proof.

APPROXIMATION BY FABER-LAURENT RATIONAL FUNCTIONS IN THE MEAN OF FUNCTIONS OF CLASS LP(T) WITH 1

And then we prove a direct theorem characterizing the degree of approximation with respect to Ω (. , t) in the mean of functions of Lp(Γ) by the rational junctions Rn.p (. . z).

Virtualizing Network and Service Functions: Impact on ICT Transformation and Standardization

Virtualization of network/service functions means time sharing network/service（and affiliated）resources in a hyper speed manner.The concept of time sharing was popularized in the 1970s with mainframe computing.The same concept has recently resurfaced under the guise of cloud computing and virtualized computing.Although cloud computing was originally used in IT for server virtualization,the ICT industry is taking a new look at virtualization.This paradigm shift is shaking up the computing,storage,networking,and ser vice industries.The hope is that virtualizing and automating configuration and service management/orchestration will save both capes and opex for network transformation.A complimentary trend is the separation（over an open interface）of control and transmission.This is commonly referred to as software defined networking（SDN）.This paper reviews trends in network/service functions,efforts to standardize these functions,and required management and orchestration.

RATIONAL FUNCTIONS OF BEST UNIFORM APPROXIMATION AND HOLOMORPHIC CONTINUATION OF FUNCTIONS

Functional diversity of Cercidiphyllum japonicum, communities in the Shennongjia Reserve, central China

Functional diversity is significant to ecological processes of plant communities. We analyzed the variation of functional diversity of endangered species, Cercidiphyllum japonicum, communities along an elevational gradient in the Shennongjia Reserve, central China. Sixty plots of 10 9 20 m from 1,350 to 2,050 m were set up and species composition, traits and environmental variables were measured and recorded. These data were analyzed using five functional diversity indices, functional attribute diversity, modified functional attribute diversity, plot based functional diversity, community based functional diversity and Rao＇s functional diversity indices（Rao＇s index）,Functional diversities of C. japonicum communities were rich and varied greatly. Functional diversity declined nonlinearly with increasing elevation. Functional diversity was significantly correlated with species richness and heterogeneity. Elevation was a key environmental variable influencing functional diversity and species diversity. The five functional diversity indices were all effective for measuring functional diversity of communities. Functional diversity can be used as an indicator of conservation efficiency of endangered species such as C. japonicum.

Exactness of penalization for exact minimax penalty function method in nonconvex programming

The exact minimax penalty function method is used to solve a noncon- vex differentiable optimization problem with both inequality and equality constraints. The conditions for exactness of the penalization for the exact minimax penalty function method are established by assuming that the functions constituting the considered con- strained optimization problem are invex with respect to the same function η （with the exception of those equality constraints for which the associated Lagrange multipliers are negative these functions should be assumed to be incave with respect to η）. Thus, a threshold of the penalty parameter is given such that, for all penalty parameters exceeding this threshold, equivalence holds between the set of optimal solutions in the considered constrained optimization problem and the set of minimizer in its associated penalized problem with an exact minimax penalty function. It is shown that coercivity is not suf- ficient to prove the results.

Evidence of cortical reorganization of language networks after stroke with subacute Broca's aphasia:a blood oxygenation level dependent-functional magnetic resonance imaging study

Aphasia is an acquired language disorder that is a common consequence of stroke.The pathogenesis of the disease is not fully understood,and as a result,current treatment options are not satisfactory.Here,we used blood oxygenation level-dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging to evaluate the activation of bilateral cortices in patients with Broca＇s aphasia 1 to 3 months after stroke.Our results showed that language expression was associated with multiple brain regions in which the right hemisphere participated in the generation of language.The activation areas in the left hemisphere of aphasia patients were significantly smaller compared with those in healthy adults.The activation frequency,volumes,and intensity in the regions related to language,such as the left inferior frontal gyrus（Broca＇s area）,the left superior temporal gyrus,and the right inferior frontal gyrus（the mirror region of Broca＇s area）,were lower in patients compared with healthy adults.In contrast,activation in the right superior temporal gyrus,the bilateral superior parietal lobule,and the left inferior temporal gyrus was stronger in patients compared with healthy controls.These results suggest that the right inferior frontal gyrus plays a role in the recovery of language function in the subacute stage of stroke-related aphasia by increasing the engagement of related brain areas.

Near-optimal control of a stochastic rumor spreading model with Holling II functional response function and imprecise parameters

In recent years,rumor spreading has caused widespread public panic and affected the whole social harmony and stability.Consequently,how to control the rumor spreading effectively and reduce its negative influence urgently needs people to pay much attention.In this paper,we mainly study the near-optimal control of a stochastic rumor spreading model with Holling II functional response function and imprecise parameters.Firstly,the science knowledge propagation and the refutation mechanism as the control strategies are introduced into a stochastic rumor spreading model.Then,some sufficient and necessary conditions for the near-optimal control of the stochastic rumor spreading model are discussed respectively.Finally,through some numerical simulations,the validity and availability of theoretical analysis is verified.Meanwhile,it shows the significance and effectiveness of the proposed control strategies on controlling rumor spreading,and demonstrates the influence of stochastic disturbance and imprecise parameters on the process of rumor spreading.

Effect of ultraviolet blood irradiation and oxygenation on nerve function and function of the red blood cell membrane pump in patients with acute cerebral infarction

BACKGROUND： Ultraviolet blood irradiation and oxygenation （UBIO） has obtained better clinical effect in treating acute cerebral infarction, but the mechanism underlying this effect remains unclear. OBJECTIVE： To observe the effect of UBIO on the nerve function and activities of K^＋-Na^＋-ATPase and Ca2^＋-Mg2^＋-ATPase activities on the red blood cell （RBC） membrane of patients with acute cerebral infarction. DESIGN： A randomized and controlled study.SETTING： Department of Neurology, Xiangfan Central Hospital.PARTICIPANTS： From January 2000 to December 2001, excluding those above 70 years old, 58 cases of 700 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted in the Department of Neurology, Xiangfan Central Hospital, were recruited and divided into two groups according to the random number table： UBIO treated group （n=28）, including 17 males and 11 females, aged 40-68 years; and control group （n=30）, including 20 males and 10 females, aged 44-69 years. All the patients agreed to participate in the therapeutic program and detected items. The general informations were comparable without obvious differences between the two groups （P 〉 0.05）.METHODS： ① The patients in both groups received routine treatments, besides, those in the UBIO treated group were given UBIO treatment by using the XL-200 type therapeutic apparatus produced in Shijiazhuang, whose ultraviolet wave was set at 253.7 nm with the energy density of 0.568 J/m^2 per second, UBIO treatment started from the second day after admission, once every other day, with a single course consisting of 5-7 treatments. ② In the UBIO treated group, the venous blood was sampled before and after the first, third and the completion of the treatment course respectively, the venous blood was taken at each corresponding time point in the control group. After centrifugation of the blood at 10 000 rounds per minute, the RBC membrane was separated and then the activities of K^＋-Na^＋-ATPase and Ca2^＋-Mg2^＋-ATPase were detected by means of phosphorus determination.③ The nerve function was scored before and after treatment in both groups with European stroke scale, which included 13 items, the total score was 0-100 points, the higher the score, the better the nerve function. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES ：①Score of European stroke scale before and after treatment in both groups.② Comparison of the activities of K^＋-Na^＋-ATPase and Ca2^＋-Mg2^＋-ATPase on RBC membrane between the two groups before treatment and after the first, third and the completion of the treatment. RESULTS： All the 58 patients with cerebral infarction were involved in the analysis of results.① The score of European stroke scale had no obvious difference between the two groups [（49.31±11.48）, （50.58±12.63）, P 〉 0.05], and it was obviously higher in the UBIO treated group than in the control group after treatment [84.66±13.75）, （77.05±11.17）, P 〈 0.05].②The activity of K^＋-Na^＋-ATPase on RBC membrane in the UBIO treated group was significantly increased after the first and third treatment as compared with before treatment [（31.56±19.25）, （27.64±15.83）, （17.67±13.83）, P 〈 0.01], it was still higher after the completion of the treatment than before treatment without obvious difference [（20.86±14.53）, P 〉 0.05]. After the first and third treatment, it was obviously higher in the UBIO treated group than in the control group [19.31±11.88）, （17.44±10.42）, P 〈 0.01]. ③ In the UBIO treated group, Ca2^＋-Mg2^＋-ATPase activity on RBC membrane significantly increased after the first treatment and remained higher than the pre-treatment level throughout the treatment [（27.49±14.72）, （17.41±4.82）, P 〈 0.01]. The activity of Ca2^＋-Mg2^＋-ATPase on RBC membrane was markedly higher in the UBIO treated group than in the control group after after the first, third and the completion of treatment respectively [（24.83±12.88）, （17.70±5.69）; （28.08±13.44）, （16.32±5.29）; （17.42±6.04）, P〈 0.05-0.01]. CONCLUSION： The effect of UBIO treatment against acute cerebral infarction may be mediated by the increased K^＋-Na^＋ ATPase and Ca2^＋-Mg2^＋-ATPase activities on RBC membrane, which enhances the RBC transformation ability so as to lower RBC aggregation and correct high blood viscosity.

Rupture process of November 6,1988,Lan-cang-Gengma,Yunnan,China,earthquake of M_s=7.6 using empirical Green’s function de-convolution method

The empirical Green's function deconvolution technique is applied to the November 6, 1988, Ms=7.6, Yunnan, China earthquake to study the rupture process of this event. An aftershock of Ms=6.3 is taken as the empirical Green's function. Recordings of these two events at six stations of China Digital Seismographic Network (CDSN) are employed. Deconvolution results show that this event is a relatively simple event. Directivity analysis indicates that the rupture was initiated at hypocenter and propagated bilaterally and nearly symmetrically towards the northwest and southeast directions with a total length of 70 km and a time duration of 19 s. The rupture velocity is estimated to be about 2.0 km/s.

EXISTENCE AND LOCAL BEHAVIOR OF NONDIAGONAL BIVARIATE QUADRATIC FUNCTION APPROXIMATION

This paper analyses the local behavior of the simple off-diagonal bivariate quadratic function approximation to a bivariate function which has a given power series expansion about the origin.It is shown that the simple off-diagonal bivariate quadratic Hermite-Padé form always defines a bivariate quadratic function and that this function is analytic in a neighbourhood of the origin.Numerical examples compare the obtained results with the approximation power of diagonal Chisholm approximant and Taylor polynomial approximant.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging evidence for activated functional brain areas following acupoint needling in the extremities

Totally three articles focusing on functional magnetic resonance imaging features of brain function in the activated brain regions of stroke patients undergoing acupuncture on the healthy limbs and healthy controls undergoing acupuncture on the lower extremities are published in three issues. We hope that our readers find these papers useful to their research.

Gait improvement after treadmill training in ischemic stroke survivors A critical review of functional MRI studies

Stroke survivors often present with abnormal gait, movement training can improve the walking performance post-stroke, and functional MRI can objectively evaluate the brain functions before and after movement training. This paper analyzes the functional MRI changes in patients with ischemic stroke after treadmill training with voluntary and passive ankle dorsiflexion. Functional MRI showed that there are some changes in some regions of patients with ischemic stroke including primary sensorimotor cortex, supplementary motor area and cingulate motor area after treadmill training. These findings suggest that treadmill training likely improves ischemic stroke patients＇ lower limb functions and gait performance and promotes stroke recovery by changing patients＇ brain plasticity; meanwhile, the novel treadmill training methods can better training effects.

THE GENERALIZED AIRY FUNCTIONS

This paper is concerned with the second order linear differential equationd 2ydx 2-x λ y=0, which is called the generalized Airy equation of order λ , where the constant λ≥ 0 (not necessary positive integer) satisfies (-1) λ =± 1 . The properties of its two special linearly independent real-valued solutions, called the generalized Airy function of order λ , are systematically investigated.

Roll System and Stock's Multi-parameter Coupling Dynamic Modeling Based on the Shape Control of Steel Strip

The existence of rolling deformation area in the rolling mill system is the main characteristic which dis- tinguishes the other machinery. In order to analyze the dynamic property of roll system＇s flexural deformation, it is necessary to consider the transverse periodic movement of stock in the rolling deformation area which is caused by the flexural deformation movement of roll system simul- taneously. Therefore, the displacement field of roll system and flow of metal in the deformation area is described by kinematic analysis in the dynamic system. Through intro- ducing the lateral displacement function of metal in the deformation area, the dynamic variation of per unit width rolling force can be determined at the same time. Then the coupling law caused by the co-effect of rigid movement and flexural deformation of the system structural elements is determined. Furthermore, a multi-parameter coupling dynamic model of the roll system and stock is established by the principle of virtual work. More explicitly, the cou- pled motion modal analysis was made for the roll system. Meanwhile, the analytical solutions for the flexural defor- mation movement＇s mode shape functions of rolls are discussed. In addition, the dynamic characteristic of the lateral flow of metal in the rolling deformation area has been analyzed at the same time. The establishment ofdynamic lateral displacement function of metal in the deformation area makes the foundation for analyzing the coupling law between roll system and rolling deformation area, and provides a theoretical basis for the realization of the dynamic shape control of steel strip.

MATHEMATIC MODEL AND ANALYTIC SOLUTION FOR CYLINDER SUBJECT TO UNEVEN PRESSURES

According to the inverse solution of elasticity mechanics, a stress function is constructed which meets the space biharmonic equation, this stress functions is about cubic function pressure on the inner and outer surfaces of cylinder. When borderline condition that is predigested according to the Saint-Venant＇s theory is joined, an equation suit is constructed which meets both the biharmonic equations and the boundary conditions. Furthermore, its analytic solution is deduced with Matlab. When this theory is applied to hydraulic bulging rollers, the experimental results inosculate with the theoretic calculation. Simultaneously, the limit along the axis invariable direction is given and the famous Lame solution can be induced from this limit. The above work paves the way for mathematic model building of hollow cylinder and for the analytic solution of hollow cvlinder with randomly uneven pressure.
