Wave propagation of a functionally graded plate via integral variables with a hyperbolic arcsine function

Several studies on functionally graded materials(FGMs)have been done by researchers,but few studies have dealt with the impact of the modification of the properties of materials with regard to the functional propagation of the waves in plates.This work aims to explore the effects of changing compositional characteristics and the volume fraction of the constituent of plate materials regarding the wave propagation response of thick plates of FGM.This model is based on a higher-order theory and a new displacement field with four unknowns that introduce indeterminate integral variables with a hyperbolic arcsine function.The FGM plate is assumed to consist of a mixture of metal and ceramic,and its properties change depending on the power functions of the thickness of the plate,such as linear,quadratic,cubic,and inverse quadratic.By utilizing Hamilton’s principle,general formulae of the wave propagation were obtained to establish wave modes and phase velocity curves of the wave propagation in a functionally graded plate,including the effects of changing compositional characteristics of materials.

On new classes of strongly Janowski type functions of complex order

We investigate some new subclasses of analytic functions of Janowski type of complex order.We also study inclusion properties,distortion theorems,coefficient bounds and radius of convexity of the functions.Moreover,analytic properties of these classes under certain integral operator are also discussed.Our findings are more comprehensive than the existing results in the literature.

QUASIPERIODICITY OF TRANSCENDENTAL MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS

This paper is devoted to considering the quasiperiodicity of complex differential polynomials,complex difference polynomials and complex delay-differential polynomials of certain types,and to studying the similarities and differences of quasiperiodicity compared to the corresponding properties of periodicity.

Ultra-deep Removal of Metal Ions from Coal Tar by Complexation:Experimental Studies and Density Functional Theory Simulations

As one of the important aspects of upgrading coal tar,the ultra-deep removal of metal ions via the complexation method was investigated by screening four complexing agents and performing density functional theory(DFT)simulations.Analysis of the compositions and contents of the metallic compounds in the coal tar revealed that the main components were iron and calcium naphthenates.Direct filtration reduced the mechanical impurity content from 0.24%to 0.0752%,indicating that most of the large particles could be easily removed.Among the four complexing agents,namely,acetic acid,oxalic acid,citric acid,and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid,oxalic acid exhibited the best demetallization performance.The DFT simulations suggested that the high performance of oxalic acid originated from its 1:1 coordination mode,rigid dicarboxyl structure,and greater binding energy.

SOME RESULTS REGARDING PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL POLYNOMIALS AND THE UNIQUENESS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS IN SEVERAL VARIABLES

In this paper,we mainly investigate the value distribution of meromorphic functions in Cmwith its partial differential and uniqueness problem on meromorphic functions in Cmand with its k-th total derivative sharing small functions.As an application of the value distribution result,we study the defect relation of a nonconstant solution to the partial differential equation.In particular,we give a connection between the Picard type theorem of Milliox-Hayman and the characterization of entire solutions of a partial differential equation.

SPACES OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS REPRESENTED BY DIRICHLET SERIES OF TWO COMPLEX VARIABLES

We consider the space X of all analytic functionsof two complex variables s1 and s2, equipping it with the natural locally convex topology and using the growth parameter, the order of f as defined recently by the authors. Under this topology X becomes a Frechet space Apart from finding the characterization of continuous linear functionals, linear transformation on X, we have obtained the necessary and sufficient conditions for a double sequence in X to be a proper bases.

A New Approach for Solving Fuzzy Linear Multi-Criterion Problems: An Approach Based on Minimization of the Errors Functions

The main purpose of this paper is to build a new approach for solving a fuzzy linear multi-criterion problem by defining a function called “error function”. For this end, the concept of level set is used to construct the error function. In addition, we introduce the concept of deviation variable in the definition of the error function. The algorithm of the new approach is summarized in three main steps: first, we transform the original fuzzy problem into a deterministic one by choosing a specific level . second, we solve separately each uni-criteria problem and we compute the error function for each criteria. Finally, we minimize the sum of error functions in order to obtain the desired compromise solution. A numerical example is done for a comparative study with some existing approaches to show the effectiveness of the new approach.

A Distributional Representation of Gamma Function with Generalized Complex Domian

In this paper, we present a new representation of gamma function as a series of complex delta functions. We establish the convergence of this representation in the sense of distributions. It turns out that the gamma function can be defined over a space of complex test functions of slow growth denoted by Z. Some properties of gamma function are discussed by using the properties of delta function.

Synchronous measurements of prefrontal activity and pulse rate variability during online video game playing with functional near-infrared spectroscopy

Interactions between the central nervous system(CNS)and autonomic nervous system(ANS)play a crucial role in modulating perception,cognition,and emotion production.Previous studies on CNS–ANS interactions,or heart–brain coupling,have often used heart rate variability(HRV)metrics derived from electrocardiography(ECG)recordings as empirical measurements of sympathetic and parasympathetic activities.Functional near-infrared spectroscopy(fNIRS)is a functional brain imaging modality that is increasingly used in brain and cognition studies.The fNIRS signals contain frequency bands representing both neural activity oscillations and heartbeat rhythms.Therefore,fNIRS data acquired in neuroimaging studies can potentially provide a single-modality approach to measure task-induced responses in the brain and ANS synchronously,allowing analysis of CNS–ANS interactions.In this proof-of-concept study,fNIRS was used to record hemodynamic changes from the foreheads of 20 university students as they each played a round of multiplayer online battle arena(MOBA)game.From the fNIRS recordings,neural and heartbeat frequency bands were extracted to assess prefrontal activities and shortterm pulse rate variability(PRV),an approximation for short-term HRV,respectively.Under the experimental conditions used,fNIRS-derived PRV metrics showed good correlations with ECG-derived HRV golden standards,in terms of absolute measurements and video game playing(VGP)-related changes.It was also observed that,similar to previous studies on physical activity and exercise,the PRV metrics closely related to parasympathetic activities recovered slower than the PRV indicators of sympathetic activities after VGP.It is concluded that it is feasible to use fNIRS to monitor concurrent brain and ANS activations during online VGP,facilitating the understanding of VGP-related heart–brain coupling.

A Method of Gene-Function Annotation Based on Variable Precision Rough Sets

It is very important in the field of bioinformatics to apply computer to perform the function annotation for new sequenced bio-sequences. Based on GO database and BLAST program, a novel method for the function annotation of new biological sequences is presented by using the variable-precision rough set theory. The proposed method is applied to the real data in GO database to examine its effectiveness. Numerical results show that the proposed method has better precision, recall-rate and harmonic mean value compared with existing methods.

Function of Rural Settlement Complex Ecosystem in Mountain Area:A Case Study of Raosi Village of Zuogong County,Tibet

Using energy analysis,the quantifying evaluation and study method on production, living and ecology functions and their sustainability of rural settlement ecosystem in mountain area is established with these energy index such as export of labor and products, export of water resource, internal energy reserve, energy consumption for human living, net energy of ecosystem function and net internal reserve. Taking rural settlement Raosi Village in Hengduan Mountains as a case study, and on the basis of the synthetic research into the ecological process of the complex ecosystem, the study shows that energy costs of production, human living and ecology functions are separately taking 1.36%, 13.59% and 85. 05% of the gross ecosystem functions, and the exertions of production and human living functions are close to a high-point state on the present using level of energy in the settlement. The study also shows that the most important function of a rural settlement in mountain area is its ecological rather productive function.

Performance study of a complex thermal barrier functional coating with an electro-spark deposited burn-resistant layer

It is necessary to develop burn-resistant and thermal barrier complex functional coatings on the titanium alloys surface due to the poor high temperature performance for titanium materials and the problem of“titanium fire”which is easily happened.MTU Aero Engines GmbH has developed a complex functional coating which has great performance of burn resistant and sealing,the coatings has already been applied on compressor blades and casing for aero-engines and showed great performance.In this study,the complex functional coating which is composed of an electro-spark deposited amorphous Ti40Zr25Ni3 burn-resistant layer and a high-energy plasma spraying prepared YSZ thermal barrier layer was prepared on titanium alloys surface.Then the heat insulation ability,burn resistant performance and the bonding strength were investigated.The experimental results showed that the interface between the coating and the matrix was typical metallurgical bonded,and the average bonding strength was 36.335 MPa;when the temperature of the flame on the one side of the specimen reached 600℃,the average insulated temperature of the coating samples was 70.67℃;when the flame temperature was 350℃,the titanium samples without the complex functional coatings were burned,while the samples with the coating showed great performance of burn resistant even when the temperature was 750℃.This indicates that the new functional coating has good heat-insulating and burn-resistant performance.

SOME PROPERTIES OF HOLOMORPHIC CLIFFORDIAN FUNCTIONS IN COMPLEX CLIFFORD ANALYSIS

In this article, we mainly develop the foundation of a new function theory of several complex variables with values in a complex Clifford algebra defined on some subdomains of C^n＋l, so-called complex holomorphic Cliffordian functions. We define the complex holomorphic Cliffordian functions, study polynomial and singular solutions of the equation D△^mf= 0, obtain the integral representation formula for the complex holo-morphic Cliffordian functions with values in a complex Clifford algebra defined on some submanifolds of C^n＋1, deduce the Taylor expansion and the Laurent expansion for them and prove an invariance under an action of Lie group for them.

Preparation and Characterization of Carboxyl Functionalized Fluorescent Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles Containing 8-Hydroxyquinolinate Zinc Complexes

Fluorescent mesoporous silica nanoparticles functionalized with carboxyl group(Znq-CMSCOOH) were successfully synthesized by in situ formation route of 8-hydroxyquinolinate zinc complexes in channels of mesoporous silica nanoparticles and post-grafting of carboxyl group on the surface. Moreover,the particle size and structural properties of Znq-CMS-COOH were characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),dynamic light scattering(DLS),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),UV-vis spectrometer, fluorescence spectrometer and nitrogen adsorption-desorption measurements. The obtained results suggest that the Znq-CMS-COOH presents the uniform spherical shape with the mean diameter of about 85 nm and the obvious wormhole arrangement mesoporous. In addition, the Znq-CMS-COOH possesses green fluorescence with the emission peaks at 495 nm. So the Znq-CMS-COOH, which is beneficial to further modification and tracing, might be a great potential carrier for applying in drug delivery system in the future.

Adaptive function projective synchronization of uncertain complex dynamical networks with disturbance

We investigate the problem of function projective synchronization （FPS） in drive–response dynamical networks with non-identical nodes. An adaptive controller is proposed for the FPS of complex dynamical networks with uncertain parameters and disturbance. Not only are the unknown parameters of the networks estimated by the adaptive laws obtained from the Lyapunov stability theory and Taylor expansions, but the unknown bounded disturbances are also simultaneously conquered by the proposed control. Finally, a numerical simulation is provided to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the obtained result.

Modified Function Projective Synchronization of Complex Networks with Multiple Proportional Delays

This paper deals with the modified function projective synchronization problem for general complex networks with multiple proportional delays. With the existence of multiple proportional delays, an effective hybrid feedback control is designed to attain modified function projective synchronization of networks. Numerical example is provided to show the effectiveness of our result.

Resolution of Grandi’s Paradox as Extended to Complex Valued Functions

Grandi’s paradox, which was posed for a real function of the form 1/(1+ x), has been resolved and extended to complex valued functions. Resolution of this approximately three-hundred-year-old paradox is accomplished by the use of a consistent truncation approach that can be applied to all the series expansions of Grandi-type functions. Furthermore, a new technique for improving the convergence characteristics of power series with alternating signs is introduced. The technique works by successively averaging a series at different orders of truncation. A sound theoretical justification of the successive averaging method is demonstrated by two different series expansions of the function 1/(1+ ex ) . Grandi-type complex valued functions such as 1/(i + x) are expressed as consistently-truncated and convergence-improved forms and Fagnano’s formula is established from the series expansions of these functions. A Grandi-type general complex valued function is introduced and expanded to a consistently truncated and successively averaged series. Finally, an unorthodox application of the successive averaging method to polynomials is presented.

Functional Positioning of Pastoral Complex in the Context of Rural Revitalization Strategy:A Case Study of Pavlo Eco Valley in Gaoan City of Jiangxi Province

As a new form of industry proposed in the context of the rural revitalization strategy,the pastoral complex has sprung up under the support of various policies.However,there are also various problems in the development of pastoral complex.The functional positioning of pastoral complex is not proper and there is serious homogeneous problem.These greatly restrict the development of pastoral complex.This study,taking the rural revitalization strategy as the background,analyzed the functional positioning of pastoral complex from production,ecology,and living.Besides,taking Pavlo Eco Valley in Gaoan City of Jiangxi Province as an example,it studied its functional positioning and came up with pertinent recommendations for its further development.

Impact of coupling function on stability of synchronization for complex dynamical networks

In this paper, the coupling function of the complex dynamical networks was generalized, and the conditions for the stability of synchronization were given. We illustrate the impact of coupling function on the synchronization of complex dynamical networks, that is, the coupling strength can not assure the stability of synchronization when the coupling function is linear. However we can modulate coupling function to achieve stability of synchronization without changing coupling strength.

A NEW TYPE OF CROWN FUNCTIONALIZED POLYSILOXANE AND ITS PLATINUM COMPLEX

A new type of crown functionalized polysiloxane, in which the crown moieties were incorporated into main chain, and its platinum complex were synthesized. The polysiloxane was synthesized from 3, 16-dihydroxy-1- thia - 5, 8, 11, 14- tetraoxacycloheptadecane via etheritication with ω-chloroundecene, followed by hydrosilylation with triethoxysilane, cohydrolysis with D_4, sequentially. Treating the polysiloxane with potassium cholroplatinite, the title complex was obtained. It was found that the platinum complex exhibited high catalytic activity in the hydrosilylation of olefins with triethoxysilane.
