Against the background of building "beautiful Zhejiang and good life", Ningbo City has to optimize the livable environment continuously, integrate natural, humanistic, green, characteristic and comfortable elements into the beautiful countryside construction, thus it is urgent to explore the cultural characteristics and functions of architectural environment in traditional villages. Cultural characteristics and functions of architectural environment in traditional villages of Ningbo should be more systematic, legalized, and scientific. This paper reviewed concepts and cultural connotations of traditional villages, and integrated cultural characteristics and functions of regional architectural environment in traditional villages of Ningbo, and provided references for theoretic researches on the formation of characteristic regional architectural cultures in traditional villages of Ningbo.展开更多

Through the research, it is found that the Confucian culture structure consists of the hard structure ＂ritual＂ and the soft structure ＂benevolence＂, and based on this constructs three-outline, five- principal, four-moral, eight- virtul, five cardinal principals and other Confucian culture, so that these have a social management function, resulting in a 2000-year stable Chinese social order, which also provides reference for the social management of Chinese government today.展开更多
Over past decades plant tissue culture has emerged as an alternative of whole plant cultivation in the production of valuable secondary metabolites.Adventitious roots culture of Panax ginseng and Echinacea purpure has...Over past decades plant tissue culture has emerged as an alternative of whole plant cultivation in the production of valuable secondary metabolites.Adventitious roots culture of Panax ginseng and Echinacea purpure has reached the scale of 1-10 kL.Some molecular biological techniques,such as transgenic technology and genetic stability are increasingly used in the studies on plant tissue cultures.The studies on elicitors have deepened into the induction mechanism,including signal molecules,functional genes,and so on.More and more biological elicitors,such as A.niger and yeast are used to increase the active compounds in plant tissue cultures.We also discussed the application of synthetic biology in the studies on biosynthesis of artemisinin,paclitaxel,and tanshinon.The studies on active ingredients biosynthesis of medicinal plants provide unprecedented possibilities to achieve mass production of active ingredients.Plant tissue cultures can not only produce active ingredients but also as experimental materials for biosynthesis.In order to improve the contents of active compounds in medicinal plants,following aspects could be carried out gene interference or gene silencing,gene overexpression,combination with chemical synthesis,application of elicitors,and site-directed mutagenesis of the key enzymes.展开更多

It focuses on three main subjects of mourning before burial--lamentation, mourners＇ ...This article attempts to compare the mourning of the dead before burial in Archaic and Classical Greece with that in Pre-Qin China. It focuses on three main subjects of mourning before burial--lamentation, mourners＇ gestures and behaviors, and mourning apparel--to demonstrate the cultural function and social influence of the mourning rituals through the analysis of the function and purpose of the mourning of two ancient peoples. We find that there are some differences in these two ancient societies, although the rites of mourning share some basic and similar procedures and functions.展开更多
