It is due the fact that it is used fuzzy programming method during the solution. The Multi objective linear programming problem can be converted into the single objective function by various methods as Chandra Sen’s method, weighted sum method, ranking function method, statistical averaging method. In this paper, Chandra Sen’s method and statistical averaging method both are used here for making single objective function from multi-objective function. Two multi-objective programming problems are solved to verify the result. One is numerical example and the other is real life example. Then the problems are solved by ordinary simplex method and fuzzy programming method. It can be seen that fuzzy programming method gives better optimal values than the ordinary simplex method.展开更多

However, due to the diversity of the deep structure in the hierarchical fuzzy system (HFS) and thecorrelation of each sub fuzzy system, the uncertainty of the HFS’s deep structure increases. For the HFS, a largenumber of studies mainly use fixed structures, which cannot be selected automatically. To solve this problem, thispaper proposes a novel approach for constructing the incremental HFS. During system design, the deep structureand the rule base of the HFS are encoded separately. Subsequently, the deep structure is adaptively mutated basedon the fitness value, so as to realize the diversity of deep structures while ensuring reasonable competition amongthe structures. Finally, the differential evolution (DE) is used to optimize the deep structure of HFS and theparameters of antecedent and consequent simultaneously. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of themodel. Specifically, the root mean square errors in the Laser dataset and Friedman dataset are 0.0395 and 0.0725,respectively with rule counts of rules is 8 and 12, respectively. When compared to alternative methods, the resultsindicate that the proposed method offers improvements in accuracy and rule counts.展开更多

Compared with the convention JSP, it can solve the fuzzy goal problem and meet suit requirements of the key job. The multi-object problem, such as the fuzzy cost, the fuzzy due-date, and the fuzzy makespan, etc, can be solved by FGFJSP. To optimize FGFJSP, an individual optimization and colony diversity genetic algorithm (IOCDGA) is presented to accelerate the convergence speed and to avoid the earliness. In IOCDGA, the colony average distance and the colony entropy are defined after the definition of the encoding model. The colony diversity is expressed by the colony average distance and the colony entropy. The crossover probability and the mutation probability are controlled by the colony diversity. The evolution emphasizes that sigle individual or a few individuals evolve into the best in IOCDGA, but not the all in classical GA. Computational results show that the algorithm is applicable and the number of iterations is less.展开更多

The new algorithm is based on the principles ofparticle swarm optimization (PSO). PSO employs a collaborative population-based search, which isinspired by the social behavior of bird flocking. It combines local search (by self experience) andglobal search (by neighboring experience), possessing high search efficiency. Simulated annealing(SA) employs certain probability to avoid becoming trapped in a local optimum and the search processcan be controlled by the cooling schedule. By reasonably combining these two different searchalgorithms, a general, fast and easily implemented hybrid optimization algorithm, named HPSO, isdeveloped. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed PSO-based algorithm are demonstrated byapplying it to some benchmark job-shop scheduling problems and comparing results with otheralgorithms in literature. Comparing results indicate that PSO-based algorithm is a viable andeffective approach for the job-shop scheduling problem.展开更多

Here, we present a new approach for its solution by using α-cut of fuzzy numbers. In this proposed method, we first define membership function for goals by introducing non-deviational variables for each of objective functions with effective use of α-cut intervals to deal with uncertain parameters being represented by fuzzy numbers. In the optimization process the under deviational variables are minimized for finding a most satisfactory solution. It is particularly important in some municipalities such as Tehran where a sound demand management calls for a realistic analysis of the routing system. The methodology involved critically investigating a fuzzy least-squares linear regression approach (FLLRs) to estimate the stochastic demands in the vehicle routing problem (VRP) bearing in mind the customer's preferences order. Also, it is not always possible to find the exact values of the input data and related parameters due to incomplete or unavailable information. This work aims at developing a model that solves a multi objective distribution programming problem involving imprecise available supply, forecast demand, budget and unit cost/ profit coefficients with triangular possibility distributions. This algorithm aims to simultaneously minimize cost and maximize profit with reference to available supply constraint at each source, forecast demand constraint at each destination and budget constraint.
