Then we give the iterative solution of the proposed m...In this paper, we propose a fuzzy linear regression model with LR-type fuzzy input variables and fuzzy output variable, the fuzzy extent of which may be different. Then we give the iterative solution of the proposed model based on the Weighted Least Squares estimation procedure. Some properties of the estimates are proved. We also define suitable goodness of fit index and its adjusted version useful to evaluate the performances of the proposed model. Based on the Least Median Squares-Weighted Least Squares (LMS-WLS) estimation procedure, we give robust estimation steps for the proposed model. Compared with the well-known fuzzy Least Squares method, the effectiveness of our model on reducing the outliers influence is shown by using two examples.展开更多

The one-wheel car model to be treated here can be approximately described...This paper presents the construction of an active suspension control of a one-wheel car model using fuzzy reasoning and a disturbance observer. The one-wheel car model to be treated here can be approximately described as a nonlinear two degrees of freedom system subject to excitation from a road profile. The active control is designed as the fuzzy control inferred by using single input rule modules fuzzy reasoning, and the active control force is released by actuating a pneumatic actuator. The excitation from the road profile is estimated by using a disturbance observer, and the estimate is denoted as one of the variables in the precondition part of the fuzzy control rules. A compensator is inserted to counter the performance degradation due to the delay of the pneumatic actuator. The experimental result indicates that the proposed active suspension system improves much the vibration suppression of the car model. Based on the ...For structure system with fuzzy input variables as well as random ones, a new importance measure system is presented for evaluating the effects of the two kinds of input variables on the output response. Based on the fact that the fuzziness of the output response is determined by that of the input variable, the presented measure system defines the importance measures which evaluate the effect of the fuzzy input variable. And for the random input variable, the importance measure system analyzes its effect from two aspects, i.e. its effect on the central distribution position and that on the fuzzy degree of the membership function of the output response. Taking the effects of the two kinds of input variables on the first moment and second one of the output response into account, the definitions of the importance measures of the input variables are given and their engineering significations are demonstrated. Combining with the advantages of the point estimates of Zhao and Ono, a solution of the proposed importance measures is provided. Several examples show that the proposed measure system is comprehensive and reasonable, and the proposed solution can improve computational efficiency considerably with acceptable precision.展开更多

Firstly a robust input shaper is designed to reduce the transient vibration and residual vibration of the container efficiently. Then a simple fuzzy logic controller is designed to eliminate the residual vibration completely in order to guarantee the positioning precision. Such a hybrid approach is simple in structure and readily realizable. Simulation results verify the fine performance of this hybrid control approach. It can achieve perfect elimination of residual vibration and concise positioning of the container load, and it is robust to parameter variations (mainly for cable length) and external disturbances.展开更多
