This condition is often associated with poor quality of life due to high pain interference with daily activities. Cognitive behavioral psychological therapy and neuromodulation with biofeedback are validated therapies for the treatment of this condition. The results show that the corrosion process of copper in seawater can be divided into two stages, in which corrosion resistance and SE show the same evolution trend of initial increase and subsequent decrease, while SG changes oppositely. However, the ensemble corrosion process of copper/titanium GC in seawater includes three stages, in which corrosion resistance and SE show the evolution features of initial decrease with a subsequently increase, and the final decrease again;while SG changes oppositely. The potential difference between copper and titanium in their galvanic couple can accelerate the initiation of pitting corrosion of copper, and both the minimum and maximum corrosion potentials of copper/titanium GC are much more positive than those of pure copper.展开更多

Open circuit potential electrochemical measurements showed a relatively large potential difference about 1 volt between the GECM and LY12CZ aluminum alloy, and this difference provided the driving force for galvanic corrosion of the LY12CZ aluminum alloy as an anode. Having been exposed for 1, 3 or 5 years in Beijing, Tuandao and Wanning station, GECM/LY12CZ couples showed significant losses of strength and elongation. Protective coatings and non-conductive barriers breaking the galvanic corrosion circuit were evaluated under the same atmospheric corrosive conditions. Epoxy primer paint, glass cloth barriers and LY12CZ anodizing were effective in galvanic corrosion control for GECM/LY12CZ couples.展开更多

SPSS 18.0 software was used to analyze the obtained data for mean and standard deviation. Results: In all healthy subjects mastoid-forehead galvanic vestibular stimulation produced a positive-negative biphasic EMG responses on SCM ipsilateral to the cathodal electrode. The latency of p13 was 11.7 ± 3.0 ms. The latency of n23 was 17.8 ± 3.4 ms. The amplitude of p13-n23 was147.0 ± 69.0 μV. The interaural asymmetry ratio(AR) of p13, n23 latency and the amplitude was respectively 0.12 ± 0.09, 0.08 ± 0.08 and0.16 ± 0.10.Discussions: Galvanic vestibular stimulation could elicit biphasic EMG responses from SCM via the vestibular nerve but not from the otolith organs. Galvanic stimulation together with air conducted sound(ACS) or bone conducted vibration(BCV) can elicit VEMPs and may enable the differentiation of retrolabyrinthine lesions from labyrinthine lesions in vestibular system.展开更多

The analysis was based on the boundary element methods (BEMs) coupled with Newton-Raphson iterative technique to treat the nonlinear boundary conditions, which were determined by the experimental polarization curves. Results showed that galvanic current density concentrates on the boundary of steel substrate and zinc coating, and the sacrificial protection of zinc coating to steel substrate results in overprotection of steel cathode. Not only oxygen reduction but also hydrogen reduction could occur as cathode reactions, which probably led up to the adsorption and absorption of hydrogen atoms. Flat galvanized steel tensile sample shows a brittle behavior similar to hydrogen embrittlement according to the SSRT (show strain rate test) in seawater.展开更多

Particular attention was given to the effect of three different electroplated coatings on corrosion behavior of the galvanic couple. Galvanic corrosion test was conducted on Ti-1023 titanium alloy which coupled Ni-electroplated 30CrMnSiA, Zn-electroplated 30CrMnSiA, Cd-electroplated 30CrMnSiA and bare 30CrMnSiA, respectively. Corrosion properties including open circuit potential (Eoc), galvanic corrosion potential (Eg), and galvanic corrosion current (lg) were monitored. Corrosion morphology was observed by optical microscope (OM) and corrosion mechanism was analyzed and discussed. The results show that the three electroplated coatings improve the corrosion resistance of the anode in different magnitudes. Ni-electroplated 30CrMnSiA and Cd-electroplated 30CrMnSiA coatings are found to be least susceptible to galvanic corrosion when coupled Ti-1023 titanium alloy. Zn-electroplated 30CrMnSiA is moderately susceptible to galvanic corrosion. But the bare 30CrMnSiA is highly susceptible to galvanic corrosion in corrosive environment.展开更多

Electrochemical impedance technique and scanning electron microscopy were used to analyze the surface electrochemical states and the corrosion morphology. At the same time, corrosion kinetics and thermodynamic theory were used to analyze the influencing mechanism of the stress factor and the galvanic factor. The results show that both of galvanic factor and tensile stress factor can increase the corrosion potential of aluminum alloys and result in the corrosion resistance decrease. With decreasing corrosion resistance, the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys decrease. These phenomena are attributed to two reasons: One is that aluminum alloys may under the condition of anodic polarization after coupled with 40 Cr Ni Mo A steel, so the corrosion can be promoted; The other is that with increasing stress, the electrochemical potential of 5050 aluminum alloys decreases and the potential difference between two materials increases, so the corrosion becomes serious. Compared to the stress factor, the galvanic factor is significant.展开更多

文摘The galvanic corrosion behaviour of aluminium 3004 and copper with different area ratios were studied in the tropical marine atmosphere at Tuticorin harbour over a period of 426 days. The area ratios OfAAI: Acu, studied were l:l, 1:2, l:4, 1:8, 2:1, 4:1 & 8:1. The galvanic corrosion behaviour of metals was studied in terms of relative increase in the corrosion rate of aluminium due to galvanic coupling with copper, relative decrease in the corrosion rate of copper due to galvanic coupling with aluminium, and the susceptibility of aluminium to pitting owing to galvanic coupling with copper, The galvanic potential and galvanic current of the system were monitored. Pits of different dimensions ranging from mild etchings to perforations were experienced on the borders and the surfaces of the interface of aluminium in contact with copper. The weathering parameters and the environmental pollutants which have a major role in influencing the galvanic corrosion of metals were also monitored. The corrosion products resulting from galvanic corrosion were analysed using XRD and the pitting on aluminium resulting from galvanic corrosion has been highlighted in terms of pit depth, size and density of pit, using a high resolution microscope.
文摘The oxygen-ion-permeable membrane galvanic short-circuit method has been developed, in which pure metal was directly extracted from the molten oxide slag, and no external voltage is applied. The galvanic cell employed in the experiment was as follows: graphite rod|[O]_(Fe+C saturation)[ZrO_2(MgO)|(FeO)_(slag))|Fe rod. The reduction current in the galvanic cell consisted of an external short-circuit current and an interior short-circuit current in the oxygen-ion-permeable membrane. The real-time variation of external circuit reduction ratio of the molten slag could be obtained from the curve of the external circuit current to the time.

文摘: The galvanic corrosion behavior of die cast AZ91D magnesium alloy coupled with H62 brass, 316L stainless steel, A3 steel and LY12 aluminum alloy of different areas in 3.5% NaCl solution was studied. The free corrosion potentials, galvanic potentials and currents of these galvanic couples were measured. The galvanic effects were determined by the mass loss and regression method using three points. The results show that: (1) In these four kinds of couples AZ91D acts as the anode, whose galvanic corrosion behavior is mainly controlled by the cathodic polarization; (2) The free corrosion potentials of these four kinds of couples change a little with time and cathodic/anodic area ratio (CAAR); (3) The galvanic potential of AZ91D/LY12 moves positively with the increase of time and CAAR; (4) The galvanic currents increase with CAAR, but there is difference in the current change between different couples; (5) The anodic dissolution rate of the magnesium alloy increases by 2-3 orders after being coupled with these four kinds of metals and the galvanic effects of these couples have such a relation as γH62> γ316L.S.S>γLY12>γA3.

文摘The electrochemical approach was used to show the nature of the galvanic corrosion when graphite epoxy composite materials(GECM)were coupled to LY12CZ aluminum alloy. An open circuit potential difference of one volt was obtained in 3.5% NaCl solution between GECM and LY12CZ. Corrosion current data (zero impedance technique) indicated that there was serious corrosion at GECM/LY12CZ couple. When GECM/LY12CZ couples were exposed to ASTM salt spray and alternate immersion condition, fiber glass cloth and H06-2 epoxy primer paint were effective methods for preventing galvanic corrosion. The slow strain rate test (SSRT) showed that GECM increased the LY12CZ stress corrosion crack growth rate.

文摘The interaction between stress and galvanic during the corrosion process of 5050 aluminum alloys was studied and the evolution of mechanics properties was indicated. Compared to the stress factor, the galvanic factor is significant.
