随着互联网的普及,我们的生活早已经数字化,未来人类的生活将越来越多地依赖计算机和互联网,我国虽然在数字媒体最大的三个民用应用领域软件、影视、游戏起步较晚,但却在规模上迅速赶超其它国家,成为仅次于美国的第二大互联网国家。然... 随着互联网的普及,我们的生活早已经数字化,未来人类的生活将越来越多地依赖计算机和互联网,我国虽然在数字媒体最大的三个民用应用领域软件、影视、游戏起步较晚,但却在规模上迅速赶超其它国家,成为仅次于美国的第二大互联网国家。然而面对全面数字化的未来,我国尚未完全做好准备,教育体制目前尚存不足。以我国游戏行业复合型人才需求为例,探讨:兼具美术修养与计算机基础的"技术美术"人才稀缺、核心领域落后、行业发展不均衡等问题的根源,提出:我国高校教育应该加大力度推行跨学科融合培养机制、注重学生的创新意识与计算机普及教育、注重英语教学的实用化目标、探寻校企联合模式,提高师资专业素质。 展开更多

Historically viewed as a niche economic sector, gaming is now projected to exceed a global annual revenue of &#36;218.7 billion in 2024, taking advantage of recent Artificial Intelligence (AI) advances. In recent years, specific AI techniques namely;Machine Learning (ML) and Reinforcement Learning (RL), have seen impressive progress and popularity. Techniques developed within these two fields are now able to analyze and learn from gameplay experiences enabling more interactive, immersive, and engaging games. While the number of ML and RL algorithms is growing, their implementations through frameworks and toolkits are also extensive too. Moreover, the game design and development community lacks a framework for informed evaluation of available RL toolkits. Critical Success Factors to Improve the Game Development Process from a Developer's Perspective

The growth of the software game development industry is enormous and is gaining importance day by day. This growth imposes severe pressure and a number of issues and challenges on the game development community. Game development is a complex process, and one important game development choice is to consider the developer's perspective to produce good-quality software games by improving the game development process. The objective of this study is to provide a better understanding of the developer's dimension as a factor in software game success. It focuses mainly on an empirical investigation of the effect of key developer's factors on the software game development process and eventually on the quality of the resulting game. A quantitative survey was developed and conducted to identify key developer's factors for an enhanced game development process. For this study, the developed survey was used to test the research model and hypotheses. The results provide evidence that game development organizations must deal with multiple key factors to remain competitive and to handle high pressure in the software game industry. The main contribution of this paper is to investigate empirically the influence of key developer's factors on the game development process. 展开更多
