The distribution characteristics of major hydrocarbon source rocks in the major oil-gas-bearing basins in China were discussed in this paper, and differences between the East and the West basins in tectonic setting, age, lithology, sedimentary environment, and hydrocarbon generation feature and potential were also studied. Considering the Lüliang Mountains-Dalou Mountains as the boundary, source rocks in the East basins are distributed mainly in three NNE-trend subsiding belts, and those in the West basins are distributed in the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains and Qilian Mountains. They are mainly NWW trending and can be divided into four basin groups. 展开更多

Comparisons have been made among lithology, diagenesis, and reservoir characteristics of gas-bearing and non-gas-bearing ones in the Sulige gas field of the Ordos Basin based on the laboratory analysis of thin sections, scanning electron microscope, and liquid inclusion of the reservoirs. The reservoirs of the Sulige gas field are now in the middle stage of diagenesis and have undergone compaction, cementation and dissolution. The secondary pore of the reservoir originated from the dissolution of the feldspar and tuff because of the organic acid action from the source rocks during the diagenetic middle stage. Gas-bearing reservoirs are common in soluble pore diagenetic facies of coarse detritus quartzose sandstone, whereas non-gas-bearing ones are common in tense compaction diagenetic facies of mud-bearing medium-fine detritus quartzose sandstone and residual intergranular pore diagenetic facies of mud-bearing medium-coarse detritus quartzose sandstone. The secondary pore is developed in gas-bearing reservoirs of the Sulige gas-field as the medium-coarse grain reservoirs formed in a powerful sedimentary environment and experienced strong dissolution. However, the sediments of fine grain size form the non-gas-bearing reservoirs because of less residual primary pore and secondary pore. 展开更多

The lacustrine shale of deep Shahezi Formation in the Songliao basin has great gas potential, but its pore evolution, heterogeneity, and connectivity characteristics remain unclear. In this work, total organic carbon analysis, rock pyrolysis,X-ray diffraction field emission scanning electron microscopy, the particle and crack analysis system software,low-temperature nitrogen adsorption experiment, fractal theory,high-pressure mercury injection experiment and nuclear magnetic resonance experiment were used to study the Shahezi shale from Well SK-2.The result indicated that the organic pores in Shahezi shale are not developed, and the intergranular and intragranular pores are mainly formed by illitedominated clay.As the burial depth increases, the pore size and slit-shaped pores formed by clay decrease, and dissolved pores in the feldspar and carbonate minerals and dissolved fractures in the quartz increase. The pore evolution is affected by clay, compaction, and high-temperature corrosion.Based on the pore structure characteristics reflected by the pore size distribution and pore structure parameters obtained by multiple experimental methods, the pore development and evolution are divided into three stages.During stageⅠandⅡ,the pore heterogeneity of the shale reservoirs increases with the depth, the physical properties and pore connectivity deteriorate, but the gas-bearing property is good.In stageⅢ,the pore heterogeneity is the highest, its gas generation and storage capacity are low,but the increase of micro-fractures makes pore connectivity and gas-bearing better. 展开更多

Based on correlation between geochemical characteristics of Sinian and Cambrian source rocks and discovered gas reservoirs, paleoand the analysis on geological conditions of reservoir formation, the sources of natural gas in the Sinian of Sichuan Basin have been discussed to sort out the contribution of Sinian source rocks to the gas reservoirs and effectiveness of Sinian primary gas-bearing system.Through the analysis of natural gas composition, carbon and hydrogen isotopes and effectiveness of Sinian accumulation assemblages,it is concluded that:(1)The natural gas derived from the Sinian source rock is characterized by low ethane content, heavy ethane carbon isotope and light methane hydrogen isotope, and obviously different from the gas generated by the Cambrian source rock.(2)The gas reservoirs discovered in Sinian Dengying Formation are sourced by Sinian and Cambrian source rocks, and the Sinian source rock contributes different proportions to the gas in the 4th member and the 2nd member of the Dengying Formation,specifically,39%and 55%to the 4th member in marginal zone and intra-platform,54%and 68%to the 2th member in the marginal zone and intra-platform respectively.(3)The effectiveness of the Sinian primary gas-bearing system depends on the gas generating effectiveness of the source kitchen, reservoir and combination of gas accumulation elements. For high-over mature marine source rocks at the Ro of less than 3.5%,besides gas generated from the thermal cracking of liquid hydrocarbon, the kerogen still has some gas generation potential by thermal degradation. In addition, the Sinian microbial dolomite still preserves relatively good-quality reservoirs despite large burial depths, which match well with other basic conditions for gas accumulation in central Sichuan paleo-uplift,increasing the possibility of Sinian primary gas-bearing system. The research results confirm that the Sinian primary gas-bearing system is likely to form large-scale accumulation. 展开更多

Gas-bearing deposits in the Lower Mingyuefeng Formation of Paleogene, Lishui Sag, East China Sea Shelf Basin consist of shoreface sandstones of the highstand systems tract(HST) and transgressive systems tract(TST)... Gas-bearing deposits in the Lower Mingyuefeng Formation of Paleogene, Lishui Sag, East China Sea Shelf Basin consist of shoreface sandstones of the highstand systems tract(HST) and transgressive systems tract(TST), and deltaic sandstones of the lowstand systems tract(LST) and falling stage systems tract(FSST).Detailed petrographic observations suggest that the diagenetic features and related evolution of these deposits cannot be simply characterized and demonstrated in the depth domain. However, the occurrence of diagenetic minerals systematically depends on the studied interval within the HST, TST, LST, and FSST; therefore, diagenesis in this region can be better constrained when studied in the context of the depositional environments and sequence stratigraphic framework. The eogenetic processes in such settings include:(1) microcrystalline siderite precipitated as concretions in almost all environments and systems tracts, which inhibited further mechanical compaction;(2) grain dissolution and kaolinitization occurred in shoreface HST sandstones and deltaic LST and FSST sandstones;(3) glaucony was locally observed, which did not clearly reflect the controls of facies or sequence stratigraphy; and(4) cementation by pyrite aggregates occurred in the shoreface HST sandstones and deltaic LST sandstones. The mesogenetic diagenesis includes:(1) partial conversion of kaolinite into dickite in deltaic LST sandstones, and minor chlorite cementation in deltaic FSST sandstones;(2) transformation of kaolinite into illite and quartz cementation in deltaic LST and FSST sandstones;(3) frequent precipitation of ankerite and ferroan calcite in shoreface TST sandstones and early HST sandstones, forming baffles and barriers for fluid flow, with common calcite in shoreface HST sandstones as a late diagenetic cement; and(4) formation of dawsonite in the deltaic LST and FSST sandstones, which is interpreted to be a product of the invasion of a CO2-rich fluid, and acts as a good indicator of CO2-bearing reservoirs. This study has thus constructed a reliable conceptual model to describe the spatial and temporal distribution of diagenetic alterations. The results may provide an entirely new conceptual framework and methodology for successful gas exploration in the continental margins of offshore China, thus allowing us to predict and unravel the distribution and quality evolution of clastic reservoirs at a more detailed and reliable scale. 展开更多

Indicating the tectonic features of the Hanshan-Wuwei basin can reconstruct the framework of the basins formed in Mesozoic and further understand the Mesozoic tectonic evolution of the South China Block.Studies on surface structure, regional stress field and deep geophysical characteristics of the Mesozoic Hanshan-Wuwei basin in Lower Yangtze region were carried out.NE-NNE trending folds and faults developed in the northern margin of the basins. The reconstruction of tectonic stress fields indicates four stress stages dominating the basins'evolution including NW-SE compression,N-S compression,NW-SE extension and NWW-SEE compression.2D seismic profiles reveal coexistence of thrust,strike-slip and normal faults in the basin.Combined with regional geological studies, the geodynamic processes for the formation of the Hanshan-Wuwei basin can be divided into five stages:1)During the Late Triassic,EW trending foreland basin was formed by N-S compression;2)From Mid-Jurassic to Late Jurassic, continuous compression strengthened the foreland deformation and formed thrust nappes. In this stage, the integrated foreland basin was compartmentalized or fragmented, and transferred to the broken foreland basin;3)NE-trending sinistral strike-slip movement at the beginning of the Early Cretaceous;4)Regional extension resulted in normal faults and rift basins developing in the Late Cretaceous;5)The NWW-SEE compression at the end of the Late Cretaceous caused NW sinistral strike-slip faults to form, which partly transformed the rift basin. 展开更多

Conventional machine learning(CML)methods have been successfully applied for gas reservoir prediction.Their prediction accuracy largely depends on the quality of the sample data;therefore, feature optimization of the input samples is particularly important.Commonly used feature optimization methods increase the interpretability of gas reservoirs;however, their steps are cumbersome, and the selected features cannot sufficiently guide CML models to mine the intrinsic features of sample data efficiently. In contrast to CML methods, deep learning(DL)methods can directly extract the important features of targets from raw data. Therefore, this study proposes a feature optimization and gas-bearing prediction method based on a hybrid fusion model that combines a convolutional neural network(CNN)and an adaptive particle swarm optimization-least squares support vector machine(APSO-LSSVM).This model adopts an end-to-end algorithm structure to directly extract features from sensitive multicomponent seismic attributes, considerably simplifying the feature optimization.A CNN was used for feature optimization to highlight sensitive gas reservoir information.APSO-LSSVM was used to fully learn the relationship between the features extracted by the CNN to obtain the prediction results. The constructed hybrid fusion model improves gas-bearing prediction accuracy through two processes of feature optimization and intelligent prediction, giving full play to the advantages of DL and CML methods. The prediction results obtained are better than those of a single CNN model or APSO-LSSVM model. In the feature optimization process of multicomponent seismic attribute data,CNN has demonstrated better gas reservoir feature extraction capabilities than commonly used attribute optimization methods. In the prediction process, the APSO-LSSVM model can learn the gas reservoir characteristics better than the LSSVM model and has a higher prediction accuracy. The constructed CNN-APSO-LSSVM model had lower errors and a better fit on the test dataset than the other individual models. This method proves the effectiveness of DL technology for the feature extraction of gas reservoirs and provides a feasible way to combine DL and CML technologies to predict gas reservoirs. 展开更多

The distribution of oil and gas resources is intricately connected to the underlying structure of the lithosphere. Therefore, investigating the characteristics of lithospheric thickness and its correlation with oil and gas basins is highly important. This research utilizes recently enhanced geological–geophysical data, including topographic, geoid, rock layer thickness, variable rock layer density, and interface depth data.Employing the principles of lithospheric isostasy and heat conduction,we compute the laterally varying lithospheric thickness in the China seas and adjacent areas. From these results, two pivotal parameters for different types of oil and gas basins were statistically analyzed:the minimum lithospheric thickness and the relative fluctuation in lithospheric thickness.A semiquantitative analysis was used to explore the connection between these parameters and the hydrocarbon abundance within the oil and gas basins. This study unveils distinct variations in lithospheric thickness among basins, with oil and gas rich basins exhibiting a thicker lithosphere in the superimposed basins of central China and a thinner lithosphere in the rift basins of eastern China.Notably, the relative fluctuations in lithospheric thickness in basins demonstrate significant disparities:basins rich in oil and gas often exhibit greater thickness fluctuations.Additionally,in the offshore basins of China,a conspicuous negative linear correlation is observed between the minimum lithospheric thickness and the relative fluctuation in lithospheric thickness. This study posits that deep-seated thermal upwelling results in lithospheric undulations and extensional thinning in oil and gas basins.Concurrently, sustained deep-seated heat influences sedimentary materials in basins, creating favorable conditions for oil and gas generation. The insights derived from this study contribute to a quantitative understanding of the intricate relationships between deep lithospheric structures and oil and gas basins. These findings provide valuable guidance for future oil and gas exploration in the studied areas. 展开更多

By benchmarking with the iteration of drilling technology, fracturing technology and well placement mode for shale oil and gas development in the United States and considering the geological characteristics and development difficulties of shale oil in the Jiyang continental rift lake basin,East China, the development technology system suitable for the geological characteristics of shale oil in continental rift lake basins has been primarily formed through innovation and iteration of the development, drilling and fracturing technologies. The technology system supports the rapid growth of shale oil production and reduces the development investment cost.By comparing it with the shale oil development technology in the United States, the prospect of the shale oil development technology iteration in continental rift lake basins is proposed. It is suggested to continuously strengthen the overall three-dimensional development, improve the precision level of engineering technology, upgrade the engineering technical indicator system, accelerate the intelligent optimization of engineering equipment, explore the application of complex structure wells, form a whole-process integrated quality management system from design to implementation, and constantly innovate the concept and technology of shale oil development,so as to promote the realization of extensive, beneficial and high-quality development of shale oil in continental rift lake basins. 展开更多

The development of the Paleogene coal seams in China's offshore basin areas generally had the characteristics of coal measures with large thicknesses, large numbers of coal seams, thin single coal seams, poor stability, scattered vertical distribution, and a wide distribution range. This study selected the Enping Formation of the ZhuⅠDepression in the northern section of the South China Sea as an example to determine the macro-control factors of the development of the Paleogene coal seam groups. An analysis was carried out on the influencing effects and patterns of the astronomical cycles related to the development of the thin coal seam groups in the region.A floating astronomical time scale of the Enping Formation was established, and the sedimentary time limit of the Enping Formation was determined to be approximately 6.15 Ma±.In addition, the cyclostratigraphy analysis results of the natural gamma-ray data of Well XJ in the Enping Formation of the Xijiang Sag revealed that the development of the thin coal seams had probably been affected by short eccentricity and precession factors. The formation process of coal seams was determined to have been affected by high seasonal contrast, precipitation, and insolation.During the periods with high values of short eccentricity, the seasonal contrasts tended to be high.During those periods, fluctuations in the precession controls resulted in periodic volume changes in precipitation and insolation of the region, resulting in the development of thin coal seams. It was also found that the periods with low precession were the most conducive to coal seam development. On that basis, combined with such factors as sedimentary environmental conditions conducive to the development of thin coal seam groups, this study established a theoretical model of the comprehensive influences of short eccentricity and precession on the development and distribution of Paleogene thin coal seam groups in offshore lacustrine basins. The patterns of the Paleogene astronomical periods and paleoclimate evolution, along with the control factors which impacted the development of thin coal seam groups in offshore lacustrine basins, were revealed. 展开更多

Based on various test data, the composition, texture, structure and lamina types of gas-bearing shale were determined based on Well Wuxi 2 of the Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Sichuan Basin. Four types of lamina, namely organic-rich lamina, organic-bearing lamina, clay lamina and silty lamina, are developed in the Longmaxi Formation of Well Wuxi 2, and they form 2 kinds of lamina set and 5 kinds of beds. Because of increasing supply of terrigenous clasts and enhancing hydrodynamics and associated oxygen levels, the contents of TOC and brittle mineral reduce and content of clay mineral increases gradually as the depth becomes shallow. Organic-rich lamina, organic-rich + organic-bearing lamina set and organic-rich bed dominate the small layers 1-3 of Member 1 of the Longmaxi Formation, suggesting anoxic and weak hydraulic depositional setting. Organic-rich lamina, along with organic-bearing lamina and silty lamina, appear in small layer 4, suggesting increased oxygenated and hydraulic level. Small layers 1-3 are the best interval and drilling target of shale gas exploration and development. 展开更多

At present, the main controlling factors of helium accumulation is one of the key scientific problems restricting the exploration and development of helium reservoir. In this paper, based on the calculation results of He generation rate and the geochemical characteristics of the produced gas, both the similarities and differences between natural gas and He resources in the Bohai Bay, Ordos and the surrounding Songliao Basin are compared and analyzed, discussing the main controlling factors of helium resources in the three main petroliferous basins of the North China Craton. It is found that the three basins of Bohai Bay, Ordos and Songliao have similar characteristics of source rocks, reservoirs and cap rocks, that's why their methane resource characteristics are essentially the same. The calculated ~4He generation per cubic metamorphic crystalline basement in the three basins is roughly equivalent, which is consistent with the measured He resources, and it is believed that the ~4He of radiogenic from the crust is the main factor controlling the overall He accumulation in the three basins;there is almost no contribution of the mantle-derived CH_4, which suggests that the transport and uplift of mantle-derived ~3He carried by the present-day magmatic activities along the deep-large faults is not the main reason for the mantle-derived ~3He mixing in the basins. Combined with the results of regional volcanic and geophysical studies,it is concluded that under the background of the destruction of North China Craton, magma intrusion carried a large amount of mantle-derived material and formed basic volcanic rocks in the Bohai Bay Basin and Songliao Basin, which replenished mantle-derived ~3He for the interior of the basins, and that strong seismic activities in and around the basins also promoted the upward migration of mantle source ~3He. This study suggests that the tectonic zone with dense volcanic rocks in the Cenozoic era and a high incidence of historical strong earthquakes history may be a potential area for helium resource exploration. 展开更多

Based on the analysis of outcrop, seismic, logging and drilling data, combined with exploration practice, the characteristics, distribution, reservoir performance and gas-bearing properties of Permian igneous rocks in Sichuan Basin are studied. The study shows that central volcanic eruptive facies are developed in Sichuan Basin, and their lithological assemblages and distribution characteristics show obvious differences. The igneous rocks are mainly distributed in three regions: the southwestern part of the basin has dominantly largescale overflow facies basalts; the central and western part of the basin, Jianyang-Santai area, develop intrusive rocks, volcanic lavas(basalts)and pyroclastic rocks; and the eastern part of Sichuan, Dazhou-Liangping area, only develop diabase and basalts. Five aspects of understandings are achieved:(1) The Upper Permian igneous rocks can be divided into intrusive rocks and extrusive rocks, with the extrusive rocks as the main body. The chemical compositions of the extrusive rocks are characterized by both alkaline basalt and tholeiitic basalt, and belong to the subalkaline type of transitional basalt magma eruption.(2) There are obvious rhythmic structures vertically among overflow facies basalt, and the single rhythmic layer consists of, from bottom up, pyroclastic rocks(undeveloped), gray and dark gray porphyritic basalts(unstable), dark gray and purple microcrystalline-cryptocrystalline basalts, dark greyish green porous and amygdaloid basalts; the central volcanic eruption shows the rhythm and the vertical sequence of volcanic clastic rocks(agglomerates and breccias), volcanic lava, tuffaceous lava from bottom to top.(3) The pore types of basalt and pyroclastic rocks are diverse, mainly dissolution pore and de-vitrification micropore, but their physical properties are different. Basalt is characterized by ultra-low pore permeability, small reservoir thickness, and reservoirs are distributed in the upper and middle parts of the cycle, with poor lateral comparability. Volcanic clastic rocks are medium to high porous reservoirs(Well YT1: porosity: 8.66%?16.48%, average 13.76%) with large thickness and good reservoir quality.(4) Natural gas in basalts in southwestern basin mainly comes from Middle Permian, and natural gas in volcanic clastic rocks in central and western basin comes from Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation.(5) Analysis of igneous reservoir-forming conditions in different areas shows that there are relatively insufficient gas sources and great differences in preservation conditions in southwestern basin.Reservoirs are poorly developed and gas-bearing is complex. The Jianyang-Santai area in the central and western part of Sichuan Basin has abundant hydrocarbon sources, developed reservoir, favorable preservation conditions and favorable gas geological conditions, and it is a favorable area for gas exploration. 展开更多

The Xixiangchi Group in eastern Sichuan Basin has great potential for natural gas exploration. However, there is a lack of in-depth studies of the hydrocarbon sources and the formation and evolution of gas reservoirs in this Group.Systematic investigation about the gas reservoir in Pingqiao anticline was consequently carried out in terms of characteristics of reservoir bitumen, the geochemical characteristics of natural gas, diagenetic minerals, and fluid inclusions.Based on this, combined with the reconstruction of the burial history, thermal evolution history and uplifting history of strata, and analysis of the regional tectonic settings, the hydrocarbon sources were identified and the formation and evolutionary processes of the gas reservoirs in Xixiangchi Group was revealed in this study. It was shown that the gas reservoirs have mixed gas sources from the shale source rocks in the Lower Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation and in the Upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation-Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation, and experienced several evolutionary stages, including the paleo-oil reservoir stage from the Late Siliurian to the Middle Permian, the paleo-gas reservoir stage from the Late Permian to the Early Cretaceous, and the superimposed accumulation and mixed-source gas reservoir stage since the Late Cretaceous. The mixed-source gas reservoir is formed by the adjustment of the Xixiangchi Group paleo-gas reservoirs and depressurization of the overpressure Wufeng-Longmaxi shale gas reservoirs and the charging of gas into the Xixiangchi Group reservoir of the Pingqiao anticline since the Late Cretaceous, which show obvious superimposed accumulation characteristics. There are different accumulation patterns in different geological periods. The accumulation pattern of the“old source-young reservoir”(i.e.hydrocarbons generated from older source rocks accumulating in younger reservoirs)dominates before the Late Cretaceous, and that of“juxtaposed young source-old reservoir”(i.e.hydrocarbons generated from younger source rocks accumulating in juxtaposed older reservoirs)dominates after the Early Cretaceous. Moreover, faults acted as critical vertical pathways for hydrocarbon migration during the evolution of the Xixiangchi Group gas reservoirs. This model provides new insights and theoretical basis for evaluation and mapping of the Xixiangchi Group play fairway in eastern Sichuan Basin. 展开更多

Based on thin-section,argon-ion polished large-area imaging and nano-CT scanning data, the reservoir characteristics and genetic mechanisms of the Lower Silurian Longmaxi shale layers with different laminae and laminae combinations in the Sichuan Basin were examined. It is found that the shale has two kinds of laminae, clayey lamina and silty lamina, which are different in single lamina thickness, composition, pore type and structure, plane porosity and pore size distribution. The clayey laminae are about 100μm thick each, over 15%in organic matter content, over 70%in quartz content, and higher in organic pore ratio and plane porosity. They have abundant bedding fractures and organic matter and organic pores connecting with each other to form a network. In contrast, the silty laminae are about 50μm thick each,5%to 15%in organic matter content, over 50%in carbonate content, higher in inorganic pore ratio, undeveloped in bedding fracture, and have organic matter and organic pores disconnected from each other. The formation of mud lamina and silt lamina may be related to the flourish of silicon-rich organisms. The mud lamina is formed during the intermittent period, and silt lamina is formed during the bloom period of silicon-rich organisms. The mud laminae and silt laminae can combine into three types of assemblages:strip-shaped silt, gradating sand-mud and sand-mud thin interlayers. The strip-shaped silt assemblage has the highest porosity and horizontal/vertical permeability ratio, followed by the gradating sand-mud assemblage and sand-mud thin interlayer assemblage. The difference in the content ratio of the mud laminae to silt laminae results in the difference in the horizontal/vertical permeability ratio. 展开更多

Up to now, the primary method for studying critical porosity and porous media are experimental measurements and data analysis. There are few references on how to numerically calculate porosity at the critical point, pore fluid-related parameters, or framework-related parameters. So in this article, we provide a method for calculating these elastic parameters and use this method to analyze gas-bearing samples. We first derive three linear equations for numerical calculations. They are the equation of density p versus porosity Ф, density times the square of compressional wave velocity p Vp^2 versus porosity, and density times the square of shear wave velocity pVs^2 versus porosity. Here porosity is viewed as an independent variable and the other parameters are dependent variables. We elaborate on the calculation steps and provide some notes. Then we use our method to analyze gas-bearing sandstone samples. In the calculations, density and P- and S-velocities are input data and we calculate eleven relative parameters for porous fluid, framework, and critical point. In the end, by comparing our results with experiment measurements, we prove the viability of the method. 展开更多

Petroleum geochemistry contributes to exploration successes by providing key constraints for geological models and critical input to exploration scenarios. One of the most important tasks in a typical exploration program is to identify the most effective source intervals or kitchens in a basin, through oil-source correlation. The results of correlation are valid only if the geochemical parameters used address adequately the genetic characteristics of the source rocks as well as the mass transport and mixing processes of hydrocarbon fluids occurring in the carrier beds and reservoirs. This manuscript discusses four of the major contentious petroleum geochemical issues in China’s sedimentary basins. It is suggested that marine incursions played a significant role in the formation of prolific petroleum source rocks in the gigantic, dominantly freshwater, Songliao Basin. Several models are proposed to account for the occurrence of immature oils in the Cathaysian rift system including the Bohai Bay Basin, thus immature source rocks are considered a mere minor contributor to the known economic immature oil resources. Both geological and geochemical evidence are reviewed to refute a dominantly coaly source for the petroleum discovered in the Turpan Basin. Results of case studies are presented to demonstrate the importance of recognizing petroleum fluid mixing to solve the oil-source correlation issues in the structurally complex Tarim Basin. In addressing the fundamental assumptions and potential flaws of the molecular geochemical parameters commonly used for oil-source correlation, the need of a mass fraction approach is proposed to deal with such contentious issues as marine versus lacustrine, coal versus lacustrine, and mature versus immature oils. 展开更多

Based on the systematic study of aromatic hydrocarbons in over 100 crude oil samples collected from the Tabei and Tazhong uplifts in the Tarim Basin, the western depression area in the Qaidam Basin and the Tabei depression in the Turpan Basin, the geochemical characteristics of the marine(Tarim Basin),saline lacustrine(Qaidam Basin),and swamp(Turpan Basin) oils were investigated. The marine oils from the Tarim basin are characterized by relatively low abundance of diaromatic hydrocarbons such as biphenyl and naphthalene, and relatively high abundance of triaromatic hydrocarbons including phenanthrene, dibenzothiophene and fluorene. In contrast, the swamp oils from the Turpan Basin are dominated by the highest relative abundance of diaromatic hydrocarbons and the lowest relative abundance of triaromatic hydrocarbons in all the oil samples in this study. The relative abundance of diaromatic and triaromatic hydrocarbons in the saline lacustrine oils from Qaidam Basin is between that in Tarim oils and Turpan oils.Aromatic parameters based on the isomer distributions of dimethylnaphthalenes(DMN),trimethylnaphthalenes(TMN),tetramethylnaphthalenes(TeMN) and methylphenanthrenes(MP),i.e.,1,2,5-trimethylnaphthalene(TMN)/1,3,6-TMN ratio,1,2,7-TMN/1,3,7TMN ratio,(2,6-+2,7-)-dimethylnaphthalenes(DMN)/1,6-DMN ratio,1,3,7-TMN/(1,2,5-+1,3,7-)TMN,1,3,6,7-TeMN/(1,3,6,7-+1,2,5,6-+1,2,3,5-)-TeMN ratio and MP index, may reflect the diversity of organic source input, thermal maturity and depositional environments. In addition, the dibenzothiophenes(DBTs)/fluorenes(Fs) and dibenzofurans(DBFs)/Fs ratios were found to the very useful and effective in determining genetic types of crude oils for the marine, saline lacustrine, and swamp depositional environments, and for oil-oil correlations. 展开更多

Based upon the recent research on the Circum- Pacific geology and sedimentary basins a review of the time - space evolution of Mesozoic and Cenozoic basic and their geodynamic background are outlined. The foreland-type basins originated mainly in Late Triassic during the convergence of East Tethys and the continental collision, while the extensional and transform-extensional basins formed mainly in the Eastern China in Late Mesozoic and Cenozoic. They are closely related to the subduction Process of Pacific Plate from eat and the collision from southwest. As a sighficat indicator of deep Process of the Earth, the igneous rocks and magmatism offer very important information for the basin dynamic analysis. The evolution of the basins in East China were controlled by the combination and alternation effects from the surrounding Plates of Eurasia and the deep Process. 展开更多
