In recent years, many methods have been used to find the exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. One of them is called the first integral method, which is based on the ring theory of commutative algebra. In this paper, exact travelling wave solutions of the Non-Boussinesq wavepacket model and the (2 + 1)-dimensional Zoomeron equation are studied by using the first integral method. From the solving process and results, the first integral method has the characteristics of simplicity, directness and effectiveness about solving the exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. In other words, tedious calculations can be avoided by Maple software;the solutions of more accurate and richer travelling wave solutions are obtained. Therefore, this method is an effective method for solving exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations. 展开更多

In this paper, we extend the mapping deformation method proposed by Lou. It is used to find new exacttravelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equation or coupled nonlinear partial differential equations(PDEs). Based on the idea of the homogeneous balance method, we construct the general mapping relation betweenthe solutions of the PDEs and those of the cubic nonlinear Klein-Gordon (NKG) equation. By using this relation andthe abundant solutions of the cubic NKG equation, many explicit and exact travelling wave solutions of three systemsof coupled PDEs, which contain solitary wave solutions, trigonometric function solutions, Jacobian elliptic functionsolutions, and rational solutions, are obtained. 展开更多

In this article, we will derive an equality, where the Taylor series expansion around ε= 0 for any asymptotical analytical solution of the perturbed partial differential equation (PDE) with perturbing parameter e must be admitted. By making use of the equality, we may obtain a transformation, which directly map the analytical solutions of a given unperturbed PDE to the asymptotical analytical solutions of the corresponding perturbed one. The notion of Lie-Bgcklund symmetries is introduced in order to obtain more transformations. Hence, we can directly create more transformations in virtue of known Lie-Bgcklund symmetries and recursion operators of corresponding unperturbed equation. The perturbed Burgers equation and the perturbed Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation are used as examples. 展开更多

A Java program in a GUI environment has been developed for the numerical solution of basic partial differential equations and applied to Au diffusion in Si affected by vacancies and self-interstitials. Text fields of selected parameters for the calculation are set on the display, and the calculation starts by checking the start button after putting values on the text fields. The calculated results are plotted immediately after the finish of the calculation as the concentration profiles of substitutional Au, interstitial Au, vacancies and self-interstitials, and their diffusion can be presented immediately, resulting in the identification of the diffusion mechanism. By changing the values of the text fields, new results can be represented immediately. The diffusion of Au in Si can be simulated correctly and easily by this program. Results from the program for one set of conditions are shown, including images produced on the display. 展开更多

Under the travelling wave transformation, some nonlinear partial differential equations such as Camassa-Holm equation, High-order KdV equation, etc., are reduced to an integrable ODE expressed by u" +p(u)(u')^2 + q(u) = 0 whose generai solution can be given. Furthermore, combining complete discrimination system for polynomiai, the classifications of all single travelling wave solutions to these equations are obtained. The equation u"+p(u)(u')^2+q(u) = 0 includes the equation (u')^2 = f(u) as a special case, so the proposed method can be also applied to a large number of nonlinear equations.
