The networks under consideration are continuous-time networks with time-varying delay. Based on the stochastic Lyapunov stability theory, Ito's differential rule and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) optimization technique, several delay-dependent synchronous criteria are established, which guarantee the asymptotical mean-square synchronization of drive networks and response networks with stochastic disturbances. The criteria are expressed in terms of LMI, which can be easily solved using the Matlab LMI Control Toolbox. Finally, two examples show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed synchronous conditions.展开更多

The method we proposed greatly simplifies the complex proofs of the two famous estimations presented by the Russian scholar Leonov. Our uniform formula can derive a series of the new estimations. Employing the idea of intersection in set theory, we extract a new Leonov formula-like estimation from the family of the estimations. With our method and the new estimation, one can confirm that there are no equilibrium, periodic solutions, almost periodic motions, wandering motions or other chaotic attractors outside the global attractive set. The Lorenz butterfly-like singular attractors are located in the global attractive set only. This result is applied to the chaos control and chaos synchronization. Some feedback control laws are obtained to guarantee that all the trajectories of the Lorenz systems track a periodic solution, or globally stabilize an unstable (or locally stable but not globally asymptotically stable) equilibrium. Further, some new global exponential chaos synchronization results are presented. Our new method and the new results are expected to be applied in real secure communication systems.展开更多

This paper proposes a new fast global synchronous discontinuous pulse width modulation(GSDPWM) method of threephase inverters to effectively attenuate the high frequency current harmonics at PCC. Firstly, the basic principle and the realization method of GSDPWM for three-phase inverters are explained, which can be employed for different modulation types. Then a fast calculation method, which can equally derive the minimized total harmonic distortion(THD) of total current, is proposed to release the calculation burden. Finally, MATLAB simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the performance of GSDPWM.展开更多

Using this type of receiver, the satellite and receiver clock errors can be eliminated simultaneously by forming between antenna single-differences, which is equivalent to the conventional double-difference model. However, current multi-antenna synchronized global navigation satellite system receiver products have not fully realized their potential to achieve better accuracy, efficiency, and broader applications. This paper introduces the conceptual design and derivable products of multi-antenna synchronized global navigation satellite system receivers involving the aspects of attitude determination, multipath effect mitigation, phase center variation correction, and ground-based carrier phase wind- up calibration. Through case studies, the advantages of multi-antenna synchronized global navigation satellite system receivers in high-precision positioning applications are demonstrated.展开更多

The networks under consideration are subject to: (1) the jump- ing parameters that are modeled as a continuous-time, discrete-state Markov process; (2) impulsive disturbances; and (3) time delays that include both the mode-dependent discrete and distributed delay. By constructing suitable Lyapuno-Krasovskii functional and combining with linear matrix inequality approach, several novel criteria are derived for verifying the global exponential synchronization in the mean square of such stochas- tic dynamical networks. The derived conditions are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which can be easily solved by some available software packages. A reference vector x(t) is introduced as the projection of the trajectory of the coupled system on the synchronization manifold. The stability analysis of the synchronization manifold can be regarded as investigating the difference between the trajectory and the projection. By this method, some criteria are given for both local and global synchronization. These criteria indicate that the left and right eigenvectors corresponding to the eigenvalue "0" of the coupling matrix play key roles in the stability of synchronization manifold for the coupled system. Moreover, it is revealed that the stability of synchronization manifold for the coupled system is different from the stability for dynamical system in usual sense. That is, the solution of the coupled system does not converge to a certain knowable s(t) satisfying s(tT1) = f(s(t)) but to the reference vector on the synchronization manifold, which in fact is a certain weighted average of each x^i(t) for i=1,……, m, but not a solution s(t) satisfying s(t + 1)=f(s(t)).展开更多

Unlike the existing serial FIFOs based on asynchronous micropipelines, this FIFO's cells communicate directly with the input and output ports through a common bus, which effectively eliminates the data movement from the input port to the output port, thereby reducing the latency and the power consumption. Furthermore, the latency does not increase with the number of FIFO stages. Single-track asynchronous protocols are used to simplify the FIFO controller design, with only three C-gates needed in each cell controller, which substantially reduces the area. Simulations with the TSMC 0.25 μm CMOS logic process show that the latency of the 4-stage FIFO is less than 581 ps and the throughput is higher than 2.2 GHz.展开更多
