By means of a suitable Lyapunov functional, sufficient conditions are derived for the global asymptotic stability of the positive solutions of the system. As a corollary, it is shown that the global asymptotic stability of the positive solution is maintained provided that the delayed negative feedbacks dominate other interspecific interaction effects with delays and the delays are sufficiently small.展开更多

By means of different Lyapunov functions, the global asymptotical properties of the viral-free equilibrium and immune-free equilibrium of the model are obtained. Global stability of the positive equilibrium of the model is also considered. The results show that the free diffusion of the virus has no effect on the global stability of such HBV infection problem with Neumann homogeneous boundary conditions.展开更多

Under some regularity conditions, we obtain the consistency and the rate of convergence of the least squares estimator (LSE) when a small dispersion parameter ε→0 and n →∞ simultaneously. The asymptotic distribution of the LSE in our setting is shown to be stable, which is completely different from the classical cases where asymptotic distributions are normal.展开更多

A least squares estimator is obtained and its asymptotics is discussed in the singular case (a0, θ0) = (0, 0). If a0 = 0, then the mean-reverting α-stable motion becomes Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process and is studied in [7] in the ergodic case θ0 〉 0. For the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process, asymptotics of the least squares estimators for the singular case (θ0 = 0) and for ergodic case (θ0 〉 0) are completely different.展开更多

The problem is formulated in the form of tracking error optimization in which the quadratic errors of the position, velocity, and acceleration are minimized subject to the rear-wheel car-like robot kinematic model. The input-output linearization technique is employed to transform the nonlinear problem into a linear formulation. By using the variational approach, the analytical solution is obtained, which is guaranteed to be globally exponentially stable and is also appropriate for real-time applications. The simulation results demonstrate the validity of the proposed mechanism in generating an optimal trajectory and control inputs by evaluating the proposed method in an eight-shape tracking scenario.展开更多

When the activation functions are monotonously nondecreasing, differentiable, and the interconnected matrix is related to the Lyapunov diagonal stable matrix, the sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence of the equilibrium of the system are obtained by applying the topological degree theory. By means of constructing the suitable average Lyapunov functions, the global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium of the system is also investigated. It is shown that the equilibrium (if it exists) is globally asymptotically stable and this implies that the equilibrium of the system is unique.展开更多

A novel neural network model called standard neural network model (SNNM) is ad- vanced. By using state affine transformation, the BAM neural networks were converted to SNNMs. Some sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of continuous BAM neural networks were derived from studies on the SNNMs’ stability. These conditions were formulated as easily verifiable linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), whose conservativeness is relatively low.
