Barriers and Motivators of Young Dutch Elite Athletes for Optimizing Their Nutritional Intake

The aim was to research the barriers and ... Many young elite athletes do not meet their daily energy and nutrient requirements. However, little research has been done on why these athletes do not meet their daily needs. The aim was to research the barriers and motivators of young Dutch elite athletes to optimize their nutritional intake. Quantitative and qualitative research was conducted among 8 handball and 4 volleyball players at the Dutch National Sports Center (17.2 ± 0.8 years). First, the nutritional intake was tracked through food diaries and analyzed in Nutritics. Thereupon, five semi-structured interviews based on the COM-B model were carried out. The interviews were transcribed and coded. The athletes had a reduced intake of energy, carbohydrates, vitamins A, C, E, D, calcium, potassium, zinc, and iron compared to their requirements. Seven themes for optimizing their nutritional intake emerged in the interviews: needs assessment, practical translation, portion size, lack of time, involvement, individuality, and food distribution. Barriers that the athletes experienced were that they did not know what their total daily nutritional needs were and how this translates into practice. In addition, the portion size at dinner was too small. They also had little time to eat a full meal due to time pressure from training and school. On the other hand, motivators were receiving meal options to translate their needs into practice with a distribution of moments when they need to eat. Covering these topics in nutritional workshops where athletes actively participate with more individual focus, could contribute to the optimization of their nutritional intake. 展开更多

This study analyzed the difference between using a downward breaststroke kick and a horizontal breaststroke kick in a sample of world class elite swimmers.We compared average muscle activity of the gluteus maximus,quadriceps femoris(vastus medialis and rectus femoris),hamstring/long head of the biceps femoris,gastrocnemius medialis,rectus abdominal,and erector spinae when using the downward breaststroke kick technique.We find that when this sample of swimmers utilized the downward breaststroke kick,max speed and velocity per stroke increased,measured by 12,788 EMG samples,where the results are highly correlated to duration of the aerodynamic buoyant force in breaststroke kick technique.The increases in performance observed from measuring the world class elite swimmers is highly correlated to the duration of the kick aerodynamic buoyant force.Among this sample of elite swimmers,the longer a swimmer demonstrates a buoyant force breaststroke kick,the lower the time in a 100 breaststroke. 展开更多

Efficient speed controllers for dynamic driving tasks in autonomous vehicles are crucial for ensuring safety and reliability.This study proposes a novel approach for designing a fractional order proportional-integral-derivative(FOPID)controller that utilizes a modified elite opposition-based artificial hummingbird algorithm(m-AHA)for optimal parameter tuning.Our approach outperforms existing optimization techniques on benchmark functions,and we demonstrate its effectiveness in controlling cruise control systems with increased flexibility and precision.Our study contributes to the advancement of autonomous vehicle technology by introducing a novel and efficient method for FOPID controller design that can enhance the driving experience while ensuring safety and reliability.We highlight the significance of our findings by demonstrating how our approach can improve the performance,safety,and reliability of autonomous vehicles.This study’s contributions are particularly relevant in the context of the growing demand for autonomous vehicles and the need for advanced control techniques to ensure their safe operation.Our research provides a promising avenue for further research and development in this area. 展开更多

Background:Developing context-specific,evidence-informed,and implementable injury-prevention programs is challenging.Women playing in the elite Australian Football League for Women are at high risk of serious knee injuries,and no specific injury-prevention program exists.The objective of the study was to describe the collaborative process used to create a context-specific injury-prevention program.Methods:A previously used intervention-development process was modified to incorporate a partnership with the sport’s governing organization and focus on engaging program implementers.The Reach Effectiveness Adoption Implementation and Maintenance(RE-AIM)Sports Setting Matrix guided program development and implementation strategies.Results:The 7-step process,aligned with the RE-AIM Sports Setting Matrix,was applied to develop the injury-prevention program and was titled Prep to Play PRO.The steps were:(Step 1)gaining organizational support and establishing a project partnership;(Step 2)using research evidence and clinical experience;(Step 3)consulting content and context experts;(Step 4)engaging the organization,experts,program implementers,and end-users to concreate the intervention and develop implementation strategies;(Step 5)testing the intervention acceptability and feasibility;(Step 6)evaluating the intervention and implementation strategies against theory;and(Step 7)obtaining feedback from early implementers and end-users.Conclusion:Engaging critical stakeholders at multiple ecological levels(organization,team,and athlete)throughout program development and implementation planning support real-world use.The processes and activities described can guide future sports injury-prevention program development and implementation. 展开更多

Assessing edge-coupled interdependent network disintegration via rank aggregation and elite enumeration

The disintegration of networks is a widely researched topic with significant applications in fields such as counterterrorism and infectious disease control. While the traditional approaches for achieving network disintegration involve identifying critical sets of nodes or edges, limited research has been carried out on edge-based disintegration strategies. We propose a novel algorithm, i.e., a rank aggregation elite enumeration algorithm based on edge-coupled networks(RAEEC),which aims to implement tiling for edge-coupled networks by finding important sets of edges in the network while balancing effectiveness and efficiency. Our algorithm is based on a two-layer edge-coupled network model with one-to-one links, and utilizes three advanced edge importance metrics to rank the edges separately. A comprehensive ranking of edges is obtained using a rank aggregation approach proposed in this study. The top few edges from the ranking set obtained by RAEEC are then used to generate an enumeration set, which is continuously iteratively updated to identify the set of elite attack edges.We conduct extensive experiments on synthetic networks to evaluate the performance of our proposed method, and the results indicate that RAEEC achieves a satisfactory balance between efficiency and effectiveness. Our approach represents a significant contribution to the field of network disintegration, particularly for edge-based strategies. 展开更多

目的:对优秀运动员孙佳旭股骨头圆韧带撕裂的体能康复训练思路、康复方案和评价方式进行研究和总结。方法:采用文献资料调研、专家访谈、测试等研究方法,对受伤运动员进行为期5周的体能康复训练。采用主观评价和客观评估相结合的方式监... 目的:对优秀运动员孙佳旭股骨头圆韧带撕裂的体能康复训练思路、康复方案和评价方式进行研究和总结。方法:采用文献资料调研、专家访谈、测试等研究方法,对受伤运动员进行为期5周的体能康复训练。采用主观评价和客观评估相结合的方式监控康复训练过程。根据阶段性评估结果,制定康复训练3个阶段的训练目标、任务和方案,提高损伤后髋关节灵活度、肌肉力量,缩小左右髋部肌力差异,加强核心区肌群稳定性,发展下肢肌肉力量和落地稳定性。通过髋关节功能性筛查及体能测试,评估受伤运动员能否进行剧烈运动和重返专项运动。结果:康复训练后,髋关节多方向动作疼痛度,下肢肌肉围度,体能测试结果,功能性动作筛查,以及训练量、训练强度、肿胀度和疼痛指数等主观评价结果显著改善。结论:客观评估和主观评价的监控方式,是制定个性化康复训练目标和方案的依据。建议第1阶段采用等长力量训练方式和闭链练习模式,第2阶段逐步增加患侧部位周围肌肉力量训练强度,第3阶段采用专门性体能训练方式最大程度地恢复运动员神经肌肉支配能力,使专项运动能力恢复到伤前水平。 展开更多

目的:通过对中国高水平运动员进行心电图检查并诊断,评估性别、运动年限和运动类型对运动员心电图改变的影响。方法:对2016年至2019年进行心电图检查的891名中国高水平运动员的心电图进行检测。根据2010年欧洲心脏病学会指南(ESC)将心... 目的:通过对中国高水平运动员进行心电图检查并诊断,评估性别、运动年限和运动类型对运动员心电图改变的影响。方法:对2016年至2019年进行心电图检查的891名中国高水平运动员的心电图进行检测。根据2010年欧洲心脏病学会指南(ESC)将心电图分为:组0(正常心电图)、组1(常见与训练相关心电图)、组2(不常见与训练不相关心电图)。分析运动员的性别、训练年限(4~6年、7~10年和≥11年)和运动类型(技巧类、力量类、耐力类、混合类)对各组心电图改变的影响。结果:(1)不常见与训练不相关的心电图改变的发生率在不同性别、不同训练年限和不同训练类型的运动员间均不存在显著性差异。(2)常见与训练相关的心电图改变在男运动员中发生率显著高于女运动员(58.9%vs 47.4%);在训练超过11年运动员中发生率最高,与训练4~6年相比具有显著性差异(P<0.05);在不同运动类型间具有显著差异(P<0.01),在混合类中发生率最高,为64.6%;窦性心动过缓在混合类和耐力类运动中的发生率显著高于其他运动类型(P<0.05)。结论:中国高水平运动员与训练相关的心电图改变与性别、训练年限和运动类型均有关。 展开更多

新乡贤文化是由传统乡贤文化创造性转化、创新性发展而来的新型文化形态,以其独特作用助推乡村全面振兴。政府和社会是新乡贤文化建设的两种力量,并以此形成了政府主导式建设路径和社会主动式建设路径。政府主导式建设路径以做好顶层设... 新乡贤文化是由传统乡贤文化创造性转化、创新性发展而来的新型文化形态,以其独特作用助推乡村全面振兴。政府和社会是新乡贤文化建设的两种力量,并以此形成了政府主导式建设路径和社会主动式建设路径。政府主导式建设路径以做好顶层设计、整合各种资源、注重授权赋能为主要抓手,通过行政纵向推动力量引领新乡贤文化建设;社会主动式建设路径则以乡村内生力量、特色化的优势资源和参与式行动为依托,通过内生横向协商方式践行新乡贤文化建设。双重建设路径虽共存于乡村场域,但二者属性不同,需通过纵横协同形成新乡贤文化建设的强大合力,使新乡贤文化建设更具持续性和实效性。习近平文化思想为双重路径的纵横协同提供了强大思想武器和科学行动指南,双重建设路径应顺应时代新要求,遵循互嵌互融逻辑,在互动-嵌入-融合中实现纵横协同,共同服务于新乡贤文化建设。 展开更多

陆地棉主要株型性状关联分析及优异等位基因挖掘

【目的】株型是影响棉花机械化和产量的关键因素,开展陆地棉主要株型性状的关联分析研究,可为棉花株型分子育种提供标记及材料来源。【方法】以403份陆地棉种质资源为材料,利用覆盖全基因组的201对多态性SSR标记,对6个环境4个株型性状... 【目的】株型是影响棉花机械化和产量的关键因素,开展陆地棉主要株型性状的关联分析研究,可为棉花株型分子育种提供标记及材料来源。【方法】以403份陆地棉种质资源为材料,利用覆盖全基因组的201对多态性SSR标记,对6个环境4个株型性状进行了关联分析,挖掘株型性状优异等位基因。【结果】6个环境中株高、果枝始节高、果枝始节位和果枝数的平均变异系数分别为13.70%、21.51%、14.18%和11.51%,广义遗传率为46.24%-74.15%;201对标记共产生394个多态性等位变异位点;能同时在最佳线性无偏预测值(best linear unbiased prediction, BLUP)(P<0.01)和2个以上环境中检测到显著(P<0.05)关联的位点共38个,包括与株高关联的位点16个、与果枝始节高关联的位点6个、与果枝始节位关联的位点11个、与果枝数关联的位点5个,5个位点同时与多个性状关联;鉴定到含有目标性状优异等位基因的材料31份,其中6份材料同时携带多个优异等位基因。【结论】在403份陆地棉自然群体中,鉴定到38个与4个株型性状关联的标记位点,发掘出31份含有优异等位基因的典型材料。 展开更多
