This mini power plant of 3.15 kWc is a perfect example of the political will of the government which is to reduce the production cost of the electricity, with the diversification of the sources of production, and the greater use of the other sources such as the natural gas, the coal, the renewable energies. The evaluation of the performances of the installation is realized by using the indicators of efficiency and performance as the photovoltaic surface yield, the ratio of photovoltaic performance, the photovoltaic specific yield, and the losses of captures. The obtained results show that a big part of the energy shone during the period of observation was not able to be used further to circumstances such as the losses of conductivity, the heat losses or for example the defects on components. The analysis also shows that a large part of the produced energy is not injected because of the dilapidation of the network, the defects of landing but especially one disjunction sees frequently at the level of the point of injection.展开更多

The study is carried out in two coastal regions (Dakar and Saint-Louis) and two continental regions (Mbacké and Linguère). This study is done using the RET Screen clean energy project management software climate data. The amount of electricity exported to the grid is calculated for each site. The results show that the climatic conditions of the coastal and continental regions are different from November to June. From July to October, which corresponds to the rainy season in Senegal, the climatic conditions of the coastal and continental regions are similar. The results also show that although the efficiency of photovoltaic modules is better on the coast, electricity production varies little from one site to another. Climate conditions in Senegal therefore have no impact on electricity production.展开更多

And financing these investments requires a reliable amortization schedule. In the context of photovoltaic systems connected to the interconnected electricity grid, the quintessence of damping is the amount of energy injected into the grid. Thus it is fundamental to know the parameters of this network and their variation. This paper presents an evaluation of the impact of power grid disturbances on the performance of a solar PV plant under real conditions. The CICAD photovoltaic solar plant, connected to the Senelec distribution network, with an installed capacity of 2 MWp is the study setting. An energy audit of the plant is carried out. Then the percentage of each loss is determined: voltage drops, module degradation, inverter efficiency. The duration of each disconnection is measured and recorded daily. The corresponding quantity of lost energy is thus calculated from meteorological data (irradiation, temperature, wind speed, illumination) recorded by the measurement unit in one-minute steps. The observation period is three months. The total duration of disconnections related to the instability of the electrical network during the study period is 46.7 hours. The amount of energy lost is estimated at 22.6 MWh. This represents 2.4% of the actual calculated production.展开更多

The proposed solution includes operation of PV with predetermined leading power factor and addition of a capacitor bank in parallel to PV plant in order to compensate the reactive power absorbed by the PV inverters. The analytical expression of required power factor angle is derived. Adding a capacitor bank in parallel to PV power plant may pose a problem because of space limitations. The dimensions and cost of small MV capacitor banks depend significantly on the capacitor bank protection against internal faults. Application of the developed negative-sequence current difference method for the unbalance protection of the capacitor banks enables to achieve a compact and cost-reduced design of the banks connected in parallel to PV power plants. A real-world example of operation of the PV plant in parallel to the capacitor bank with the novel protection scheme is described.展开更多

Based on dynamically tracking the maximum power point, two novel control methodologies are proposed to control the DC-bus and the output current for the inverter. First, a new linear cycle discrete control algorithm is introduced to realize linear control of the DC-bus voltage and synchronously get the reference current for the inner current loop with a little calculation. Then, to assure a good adaptability to noise and model uncertainty, an auto-disturbance rejection controller is chosen as the output current controller, which does not depend on precise mathematics model. Thus, output current of PV system to the grid is with low harmonic distortion and unity power factor. Simulations and experiments are performed, and the results show that the system is of excellent robustness and effective.展开更多

At the same time, power consumption is continuously increasing, and consumers are becoming more complex, which ultimately requires new investments in the distribution network. Concept of smart grids is generally accepted as a possible solution. Smart grid is a concept with many elements, where monitoring and control of every element in the chain of production, transmission, distribution and final consumption enable much more efficient delivery and use of electricity. One of the elements of smart grid efficiency is the ability of real-time demand-supply balancing. This balancing is carried out by monitoring of consumption and redistribution of electricity among individual end users, according to their needs. The aim of this paper is creating algorithm for real-time load management using power measurements. Algorithm for real-time load management at the ETFOS (Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Osijek), Croatia is created based on measurements of photovoltaic power plant production, the power consumption of air conditioning system and the faculty building total electricity consumption. Expected result of real-time re-dispatching of air conditioners consumption, depending on the level of electricity production in photovoltaic power plant is decreasing peak demand of the faculty.展开更多

We identified models in the literature, namely the Benchmark, input/output, Marion, Cristo-fri, Kroposki, Jones-Underwood and Hatziargyriou prediction models, which depend exclusively on environmental parameters. We then compared our linear model with these seven mathematical models in order to determine the most optimal prediction model. Our results show that the Hatziargyriou model is better in terms of accuracy for power prediction.展开更多

The analysis revealed notable seasonal variations in the performance of all stations. The most significant yields are recorded in spring, autumn and winter, with values ranging from 5 to 7.51 kWh/kWp/day for the reference yield and 4.02 to 7.58 kWh/kWp/day for the final yield. These fluctuations are associated with intense solar activity during the dry season and clear skies, indicating peak production. Conversely, minimum values are recorded during the rainy season from June to September, with a final yield of 3.86 kWh/kW/day due to dust, clouds and high temperatures. The performance ratio analysis shows seasonal dynamics throughout the year with rates ranging from 77.40% to 95.79%, reinforcing reliability and optimal utilization of installed capacity. The results of the capacity factor vary significantly, with March, April, May, and sometimes October standing out as periods of optimal performance, with 16% for Kahone, 16% for Bokhol, 18% for Malicounda and 23% for Sakal. Total losses from solar power plants show similar seasonal trends standing out for high loss levels from June to July, reaching up to 3.35 kWh/kWp/day in June. However, using solar trackers at Sakal has increased production by up to 25%, demonstrating the operational stability of this innovative technology compared with the plants fixed panel. Finally, comparing these results with international studies confirms the outstanding efficiency of Senegalese solar power plants, other installations around the world.展开更多

To overcome the problems mentioned above, the mathematical model of the parallel photovoltaic inverters is established. Several factors including the impact of the reference current of the grid-connected inverter, the grid voltage interference and the current disturbance between the photovoltaic inverters in parallel with the grid-connected inverters are analyzed. The grid impedance and the LCL filter of the photovoltaic inverter system are found to be the key elements which lead to existence of resonance peak. This paper presents the branch voltage and current double feedback suppression method under the premise of not changing the topological structure of the photovoltaic inverter, which effectively handles the resonance peak, weakens the harmonic content of the grid current of the photovoltaic grid-connected inverter and the voltage at the point of common coupling, and improves the stability of the parallel operation of the photovoltaic grid-connected inverters in weak grid. At last, the simulation model is established to verify the reliability of this suppression method.展开更多

文摘This paper primarily discusses the main circuit of single-phase inverter circuits. It begins by introducing the research context and the significance of the subject, then discusses the topology of grid-connected single-phase inverter circuits, continues by discussing the control strategy for grid-connected single-phase inverter circuits, realizes a sinusoidal pulse width modulation(SPWM)signal generation circuit and an inverse control algorithm program, and finally ensures good output waveform and fast dynamic response. In view of the hysteresis feature of the grid voltage’s synchronous signal sampling circuit, the acquisition function in digital signal processing(DSP)control chips is applied, and the reasons for the hysteresis phenomenon are thoroughly investigated. The reliability of the SPWM control algorithm is revealed through the results.
文摘In the last few decades, in the world and also in the European Union, considerable resources had been invested in the rapid development of renewable energy sources and distributed generation in general. Expected result of real-time re-dispatching of air conditioners consumption, depending on the level of electricity production in photovoltaic power plant is decreasing peak demand of the faculty.
文摘In this paper, we present a study on the prediction of the power produced by the 33 MWp photovoltaic power plant at Zagtouli in Burkina-Faso, as a function of climatic factors. Our results show that the Hatziargyriou model is better in terms of accuracy for power prediction.
文摘The main objective of this study is to evaluate the seasonal performance of 20 MW solar power plants in Senegal. Finally, comparing these results with international studies confirms the outstanding efficiency of Senegalese solar power plants, other installations around the world.
文摘Analysis of photovoltaic power plant(PVPP)operations is important to both investors and users and to producers of equipment, researchers and designers as well. This paper presents the analysis of the year-long operations of the group PVPPs in Serbia connected to the distribution network which was carried out through specific indicators such as electric power generation, power, capacity factors, specific yield, losses, period of cost effectiveness of the investment, etc.Special attention has been paid to the influence of the azimuth and tilt of the photovoltaic modules on the performances of PVPPs.Results obtained through the year-long extensive measurements were compared to expected yields of PVPPs on the basis of the Climate SAF PVGIS application. The results of the analysis indicate that available software applications cannot always provide a good enough forecast of expected electric power production since they cannot always assess well enough the effects of the surrounding facilities on operations of a PVPP.In addition,it has been found that the correlation between losses of annual achieved specific yield of a PVPP and the azimuth is represented by a polynomial of the second degree, whereas the correlation between losses of the annual achieved specific yield of a PVPP and the tilt is represented by an exponential function.
文摘Large grid-connected photovoltaic(PV)plants are increasingly being installed around the world, including in harsh desert climates.Evaluating their performance can help improve the design and operation of PV systems. This study performed an energy and exergy analysis of a 20-MW grid-connected PV plant under desert climatic conditions in southern Algeria over a period of 1 year. The PV plant was divided into two 10-MW subsystems.Energy analysis was performed using actual irradiation, power output, wind speed and ambient temperature data. The annual average energy efficiency of the plant and subsystems was 10.82%,10.95%and 10.69%,respectively.Solar radiation had the most significant impact(80%determination coefficient)on thermal exergy loss. The exergy efficiency of the plant was lower than the literature values, likely due to the harsh desert conditions. The comprehensive energy and exergy analysis provides insights into the performance of large-scale PV plants in desert climates. The results can help guide the system design and operation improvements for such conditions.Regular cleaning and cooling could improve performance.

文摘Obvious resonance peak will be generated when parallel photovoltaic grid-connected inverters are connected to the weak grid with high grid impedance, which seriously affects the stability of grid-connected operation of the photovoltaic system. At last, the simulation model is established to verify the reliability of this suppression method.
