A Novel Handcrafted with Deep Features Based Brain Tumor Diagnosis Model

In healthcare sector,image classification is one of the crucial problems that impact the quality output from image processing domain.The purpose of image classification is to categorize different healthcare images under various class labels which in turn helps in the detection and management of diseases.Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)is one of the effective non-invasive strate-gies that generate a huge and distinct number of tissue contrasts in every imaging modality.This technique is commonly utilized by healthcare professionals for Brain Tumor(BT)diagnosis.With recent advancements in Machine Learning(ML)and Deep Learning(DL)models,it is possible to detect the tumor from images automatically,using a computer-aided design.The current study focuses on the design of automated Deep Learning-based BT Detection and Classification model using MRI images(DLBTDC-MRI).The proposed DLBTDC-MRI techni-que aims at detecting and classifying different stages of BT.The proposed DLBTDC-MRI technique involves medianfiltering technique to remove the noise and enhance the quality of MRI images.Besides,morphological operations-based image segmentation approach is also applied to determine the BT-affected regions in brain MRI image.Moreover,a fusion of handcrafted deep features using VGGNet is utilized to derive a valuable set of feature vectors.Finally,Artificial Fish Swarm Optimization(AFSO)with Artificial Neural Network(ANN)model is utilized as a classifier to decide the presence of BT.In order to assess the enhanced BT classification performance of the proposed model,a comprehensive set of simulations was performed on benchmark dataset and the results were vali-dated under several measures. 展开更多

This paper presents the erosion results of the AISI H13 steel impinged by resin-bonded silica sand, using a testing rig that closely simulates the real blowing conditions during industrial core-making. Steel specimens were heat treated to obtain hardness of 294, 445 and 595 HV200 (29, 45 and 55 HRC). Erosion tests were carried out at impingement angles from 20° to 90° and air drag pressures of 1.38, 2.07 and 2.76 bar (20, 30 and 40 psi). The main results are summarized as follows:(i) The harder material, the lower erosion;(ii) the maximum erosion rate is at 30°;(iii) Little difference in erosion rate at impact angle of 60° and 90° for a constant pressure tested regardless of the hardness level;(iv) As the pressure increases, so does the erosion rate, being more sensitive for low impact angles. Finally, a differential form of the general erosion equation is applied on a practical core-making case to evaluate the erosion rate of the H13 steel at 30° and 90° impingement angles. 展开更多

With modified water glass as binder and the introduction of micro silicon powders into the coremaking process,an improvement was made to the tensile strength and collapsibility of the sand core.The potassium hydroxide,sodium hexametaphosphate and white sugar were applied as the modifiers of water glass.The optimum proportion of the modifiers was determined through the combination of single factor test and orthogonal test.The optimum proportion of water glass,potassium hydroxide,sodium hexametaphosphate and white sugar is 1000:40:5:5(wt.).In terms of weight,modified binder and micro silicon powders accounted for 2%and 0.6%of sand,respectively.The sand core was hardened by going through a warm core box process,in which the temperature of core box was 150°C,and the compressed hot air was blown at 120°C for 40 s under a pressure of 0.2 MPa.As for the sand core bonded with modified water glass,the tensile strength is 2.46 MPa at room temperature(σ0)and 2.49 MPa at 25°C and 40%RH for 24 h(σ24),which are 2 times more than that with unmodified binder.The bonded strengths of sand core are increased as a result of the reaction between-OH groups from addition of potassium hydroxide and SiO2 particles widely distributed in the sand core.Comparing with the sand core bonded with unmodified water glass,the high temperature residual tensile strength(σr)of sand core bonded with modified water glass under 600°C for 5 min,is sharply reduced from 0.20 MPa to 0.01 MPa.By the comparison with unmodified water glass,the dynamic viscosity of the modified water glass and the flowability of molding sand using modified water glass are increased from 74 mPa·s and 2.15 g to 80 mPa·s and 2.21 g,respectively.As revealed by FT-IR analysis,new groups including PO3-,PO43-,and Si-O-C appear in the molecular structure of modified water glass,which are beneficial to the collapsibility of sand core. 展开更多

Brain cancer detection and classification is done utilizing distinct medical imaging modalities like computed tomography(CT),or magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).An automated brain cancer classification using computer aided diagnosis(CAD)models can be designed to assist radiologists.With the recent advancement in computer vision(CV)and deep learning(DL)models,it is possible to automatically detect the tumor from images using a computer-aided design.This study focuses on the design of automated Henry Gas Solubility Optimization with Fusion of Handcrafted and Deep Features(HGSO-FHDF)technique for brain cancer classification.The proposed HGSO-FHDF technique aims for detecting and classifying different stages of brain tumors.The proposed HGSO-FHDF technique involves Gabor filtering(GF)technique for removing the noise and enhancing the quality of MRI images.In addition,Tsallis entropy based image segmentation approach is applied to determine injured brain regions in the MRI image.Moreover,a fusion of handcrafted with deep features using Residual Network(ResNet)is utilized as feature extractors.Finally,HGSO algorithm with kernel extreme learning machine(KELM)model was utilized for identifying the presence of brain tumors.For examining the enhanced brain tumor classification performance,a comprehensive set of simulations take place on the BRATS 2015 dataset. 展开更多

Histopathology is the investigation of tissues to identify the symptom of abnormality.The histopathological procedure comprises gathering samples of cells/tissues,setting them on the microscopic slides,and staining them.The investigation of the histopathological image is a problematic and laborious process that necessitates the expert’s knowledge.At the same time,deep learning(DL)techniques are able to derive features,extract data,and learn advanced abstract data representation.With this view,this paper presents an ensemble of handcrafted with deep learning enabled histopathological image classification(EHCDL-HIC)model.The proposed EHCDLHIC technique initially performs Weiner filtering based noise removal technique.Once the images get smoothened,an ensemble of deep features and local binary pattern(LBP)features are extracted.For the classification process,the bidirectional gated recurrent unit(BGRU)model can be employed.At the final stage,the bacterial foraging optimization(BFO)algorithm is utilized for optimal hyperparameter tuning process which leads to improved classification performance,shows the novelty of the work.For validating the enhanced execution of the proposed EHCDL-HIC method,a set of simulations is performed.The experimentation outcomes highlighted the betterment of the EHCDL-HIC approach over the existing techniques with maximum accuracy of 94.78%.Therefore,the EHCDL-HIC model can be applied as an effective approach for histopathological image classification. 展开更多

目的:建立超高效液相色谱-二极管阵列检测器法同时快速测定现制奶茶中苯甲酸、山梨酸、糖精钠的含量。方法:样品经水浴超声提取,蛋白沉淀剂沉淀蛋白,采用Quasar SPP C_(18)(100 mm×2.1 mm,2.6μm)色谱柱,流动相为甲醇-乙酸铵溶液(5... 目的:建立超高效液相色谱-二极管阵列检测器法同时快速测定现制奶茶中苯甲酸、山梨酸、糖精钠的含量。方法:样品经水浴超声提取,蛋白沉淀剂沉淀蛋白,采用Quasar SPP C_(18)(100 mm×2.1 mm,2.6μm)色谱柱,流动相为甲醇-乙酸铵溶液(5+95),等度洗脱,外标法定量。结果:3种组分在2 min内全部出峰,且3种组分标准曲线的相关系数r>0.9999;检出限均为0.005 g·kg^(-1);定量限均为0.01 g·kg^(-1);样品在0.01 g·kg^(-1)、0.05 g·kg^(-1)、0.10 g·kg^(-1)这3个加标水平下的平均回收率为90.2%~104.0%,测定结果的相对标准偏差为0.18%~3.50%(n=6)。结论:超高效液相色谱-二极管阵列检测器法操作简便,耗时短,灵敏度好,准确度高,适用于同时快速测定现制奶茶中苯甲酸、山梨酸、糖精钠的含量。 展开更多

Gold clay is a crafting medium consisting of gold particles mixed with an organic binder and water for making jewelry or decoration.The clay can be shaped by hand,textured,carved,formed or using molds.After drying and burning,the organic binder and water were decomposed and the gold particles were transformed to its final metal state.Although,gold clay is very expensive,it is useful to decorate the silver clay designed jewelry or small sculptures.In this research,nano-microplate gold and specific organic binder was used for producing nano-microplate gold clay.The objectives of this research are to study binder's type and ratios for optimum producing gold clay,and to study the heating condition for making silver and gold clay jewelry.The result showed that the clay can be fired with heating temperature at 900°C for an hour by electric kiln.The physical properties of the gold clay at different heating temperatures were determined.Furthermore,prototype of jewelry using the clay was 展开更多
