An efficient and accurate prediction of a precise tidal level in estuaries and coastal areas is indispensable for the management and decision-making of human activity in the field wok of marine engineering. The variat...An efficient and accurate prediction of a precise tidal level in estuaries and coastal areas is indispensable for the management and decision-making of human activity in the field wok of marine engineering. The variation of the tidal level is a time-varying process. The time-varying factors including interference from the external environment that cause the change of tides are fairly complicated. Furthermore, tidal variations are affected not only by periodic movement of celestial bodies but also by time-varying interference from the external environment. Consequently, for the efficient and precise tidal level prediction, a neuro-fuzzy hybrid technology based on the combination of harmonic analysis and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system(ANFIS)model is utilized to construct a precise tidal level prediction system, which takes both advantages of the harmonic analysis method and the ANFIS network. The proposed prediction model is composed of two modules: the astronomical tide module caused by celestial bodies’ movement and the non-astronomical tide module caused by various meteorological and other environmental factors. To generate a fuzzy inference system(FIS) structure,three approaches which include grid partition(GP), fuzzy c-means(FCM) and sub-clustering(SC) are used in the ANFIS network constructing process. Furthermore, to obtain the optimal ANFIS based prediction model, large numbers of simulation experiments are implemented for each FIS generating approach. In this tidal prediction study, the optimal ANFIS model is used to predict the non-astronomical tide module, while the conventional harmonic analysis model is used to predict the astronomical tide module. The final prediction result is performed by combining the estimation outputs of the harmonious analysis model and the optimal ANFIS model. To demonstrate the applicability and capability of the proposed novel prediction model, measured tidal level samples of Fort Pulaski tidal station are selected as the testing database. Simulation and experimental results confirm that the proposed prediction approach can achieve precise predictions for the tidal level with high accuracy, satisfactory convergence and stability.展开更多
Software testing is the methodology of analyzing the nature of software to test if it works as anticipated so as to boost its reliability and quality.These two characteristics are very critical in the software applica...Software testing is the methodology of analyzing the nature of software to test if it works as anticipated so as to boost its reliability and quality.These two characteristics are very critical in the software applications of present times.When testers want to perform scenario evaluations,test oracles are generally employed in the third phase.Upon test case execution and test outcome generation,it is essential to validate the results so as to establish the software behavior’s correctness.By choosing a feasible technique for the test case optimization and prioritization as along with an appropriate assessment of the application,leads to a reduction in the fault detection work with minimal loss of information and would also greatly reduce the cost for clearing up.A hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)with Stochastic Diffusion Search(PSO-SDS)based Neural Network,and a hybrid Harmony Search with Stochastic Diffusion Search(HS-SDS)based Neural Network has been proposed in this work.Further to evaluate the performance,it is compared with PSO-SDS based artificial Neural Network(PSO-SDS ANN)and Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The Misclassification of correction output(MCO)of HS-SDS Neural Network is 6.37 for 5 iterations and is well suited for automated testing.展开更多
Many search-based algorithms have been successfully applied in sev-eral software engineering activities.Genetic algorithms(GAs)are the most used in the scientific domains by scholars to solve software testing problems....Many search-based algorithms have been successfully applied in sev-eral software engineering activities.Genetic algorithms(GAs)are the most used in the scientific domains by scholars to solve software testing problems.They imi-tate the theory of natural selection and evolution.The harmony search algorithm(HSA)is one of the most recent search algorithms in the last years.It imitates the behavior of a musician tofind the best harmony.Scholars have estimated the simi-larities and the differences between genetic algorithms and the harmony search algorithm in diverse research domains.The test data generation process represents a critical task in software validation.Unfortunately,there is no work comparing the performance of genetic algorithms and the harmony search algorithm in the test data generation process.This paper studies the similarities and the differences between genetic algorithms and the harmony search algorithm based on the ability and speed offinding the required test data.The current research performs an empirical comparison of the HSA and the GAs,and then the significance of the results is estimated using the t-Test.The study investigates the efficiency of the harmony search algorithm and the genetic algorithms according to(1)the time performance,(2)the significance of the generated test data,and(3)the adequacy of the generated test data to satisfy a given testing criterion.The results showed that the harmony search algorithm is significantly faster than the genetic algo-rithms because the t-Test showed that the p-value of the time values is 0.026<α(αis the significance level=0.05 at 95%confidence level).In contrast,there is no significant difference between the two algorithms in generating the adequate test data because the t-Test showed that the p-value of thefitness values is 0.25>α.展开更多

文摘Software testing is the methodology of analyzing the nature of software to test if it works as anticipated so as to boost its reliability and quality.These two characteristics are very critical in the software applications of present times.When testers want to perform scenario evaluations,test oracles are generally employed in the third phase.Upon test case execution and test outcome generation,it is essential to validate the results so as to establish the software behavior’s correctness.By choosing a feasible technique for the test case optimization and prioritization as along with an appropriate assessment of the application,leads to a reduction in the fault detection work with minimal loss of information and would also greatly reduce the cost for clearing up.A hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)with Stochastic Diffusion Search(PSO-SDS)based Neural Network,and a hybrid Harmony Search with Stochastic Diffusion Search(HS-SDS)based Neural Network has been proposed in this work.Further to evaluate the performance,it is compared with PSO-SDS based artificial Neural Network(PSO-SDS ANN)and Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The Misclassification of correction output(MCO)of HS-SDS Neural Network is 6.37 for 5 iterations and is well suited for automated testing.
文摘Many search-based algorithms have been successfully applied in sev-eral software engineering activities.Genetic algorithms(GAs)are the most used in the scientific domains by scholars to solve software testing problems.They imi-tate the theory of natural selection and evolution.The harmony search algorithm(HSA)is one of the most recent search algorithms in the last years.It imitates the behavior of a musician tofind the best harmony.Scholars have estimated the simi-larities and the differences between genetic algorithms and the harmony search algorithm in diverse research domains.The test data generation process represents a critical task in software validation.Unfortunately,there is no work comparing the performance of genetic algorithms and the harmony search algorithm in the test data generation process.This paper studies the similarities and the differences between genetic algorithms and the harmony search algorithm based on the ability and speed offinding the required test data.The current research performs an empirical comparison of the HSA and the GAs,and then the significance of the results is estimated using the t-Test.The study investigates the efficiency of the harmony search algorithm and the genetic algorithms according to(1)the time performance,(2)the significance of the generated test data,and(3)the adequacy of the generated test data to satisfy a given testing criterion.The results showed that the harmony search algorithm is significantly faster than the genetic algo-rithms because the t-Test showed that the p-value of the time values is 0.026<α(αis the significance level=0.05 at 95%confidence level).In contrast,there is no significant difference between the two algorithms in generating the adequate test data because the t-Test showed that the p-value of thefitness values is 0.25>α.
文摘With the advancement of ecological conservation in China,the concept of green development has gained extensive acceptance and recognition.Exploring green development from the perspectives of environmental protection and sociology holds great theoretical value and practical significance in studying the issues related to green development.Firstly,this paper examines green development in light of the objective needs of the economic and social transformation in the international community and China,and deconstructed its underlying social logic.Secondly,it further investigates the social factors that restrict green development,encompassing social structures,social concepts,social systems,and social behaviors.Finally,within the framework of the“green”discipline system in environmental sociology,this paper proposes specific measures such as restructuring social systems and transforming production modes,lifestyles,and consumption patterns to promote green development.

It studies order factors which affect the color harmony aesthetic measure based on the psychophysical method, and presents a continuous curve of the order factors. 文摘This paper provides an analysis of gender binarism in Carson McCullers’novel,The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter,situated within the socio-cultural milieu of Southern America.It examines the depiction of persisting challenges posed by binary gender paradigms and the portrayal of potential emancipation within the narrative.The analysis focuses on two central characters,interpreting them as contrasting cases.One character represents the paradox inherent in the rebellious endeavors,highlighting how these actions,influenced by Phallocentrism and a broader framework of hierarchical structures,might inadvertently reinforce gender binarism.The other character exemplifies a triumphant departure from the binary gender paradigm through striving to attain a state of equilibrium marked by the harmonious coexistence of gender differences.Through this analysis,the paper reveals the author’s dual perspectives in her exploration of gender binarism using these two distinct protagonists.At last,it employs the traditional Chinese philosophical concept of“harmony in diversity”in conjunction with feminist and gender theories to elucidate the encouraged path toward emancipation from gender binarism within McCullers’narrative.
