A Pickering emulsion based on sodium starch octenyl succinate(SSOS)was prepared and its effects on the physicochemical properties of hairtail myofibrillar protein gels(MPGs)subjected to multiple freeze-thaw(F-T)cycles...A Pickering emulsion based on sodium starch octenyl succinate(SSOS)was prepared and its effects on the physicochemical properties of hairtail myofibrillar protein gels(MPGs)subjected to multiple freeze-thaw(F-T)cycles were investigated.The whiteness,water-holding capacity,storage modulus(G')and texture properties of the MPGs were significantly improved by adding 1%-2%Pickering emulsion(P<0.05).Meanwhile,Raman spectral analysis demonstrated that Pickering emulsion promoted the transformation of secondary structure,enhanced hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions,and promoted the transition of disulfide bond conformation from g-g-g to g-g-t and t-g-t.At an emulsion concentration of 2%,theα-helix content decreased by 10.37%,while theβ-sheet content increased by 7.94%,compared to the control.After F-T cycles,the structure of the MPGs was destroyed,with an increase in hardness and a decrease in whiteness and water-holding capacity,however,the quality degradation of MPGs was reduced with 1%-2%Pickering emulsion.These findings demonstrated that SSOS-Pickering emulsions,as potential fat substitutes,can enhance the gel properties and the F-T stability of MPGs.展开更多
Conventional plasticizers deteriorate mechanical and viscoelastic properties of the propellants due to their migration upon aging and long-term storage,which affects reliability and safety properties during exploitati...Conventional plasticizers deteriorate mechanical and viscoelastic properties of the propellants due to their migration upon aging and long-term storage,which affects reliability and safety properties during exploitation.To address this issue,conventional plasticizer,dioctyl adipate(DOA),is replaced by reactive one,castor oil(CO).In addition,three different types of HTPB were used to obtain propellants with designed viscoelastic and mechanical properties.The CO increased propellants viscosity,without a significant impact on the propellant processability,regardless to the type of prepolymer.Conversely,mechanical properties were different depending on the type of resin,which were further analyzed by gel permeation chromatography(GPC).Addition of CO formed a denser polymer network and shifted T_(g) to higher values,compared to the compositions with DOA.The tensile strength of CO-containing propellants was lower at +20℃ and +50℃ compared to the reference compositions,while the strain at maximum load and strain at break were significantly increased with pronounced plastic deformation,especially for samples at -30℃.The inclusion of CO in the propellants composition gives more room for adjusting a wide range of mechanical properties.展开更多

Minced fish meat was added to distill...A new product of minced fish meat with high pressurization was produced for individuals with difficulties in mastication and swallowing and for elderly people on a dysphagia diet. Minced fish meat was added to distilled water at ratios of 1:0.5, 1:1 and 1:1.5 by mixing with 1.5% NaCl. Half of the samples were modified by heating (H-gels) and half by high pressure at 400 MPa for 20 min (P-gels). The hardness of the H- and P-gels was 0.97 to 2.83 [×104 N/m2] and 2.25 to 10.03 [×104 N/m2], respectively. For SDS-PAGE analysis, low-molecular-weight proteins in the P-gel were released more easily than those in the H-gel by the difference in gel formation, which is related to the detection of α-actinin in the supernatant of pressurized actomyosin. The ultrastructural observations showed a regular filamentous network structure in the P-gel. For the sensory evaluation, the P-gels were determined to be more lustrous, juicier, more moderately elastic and smoother. These gels conformed to the criteria of Dietary Uses for Dyspahgic Patients and Japanese Dysphagia Diet 2013. High pressure treatment denatured the protein composition of the minced fish meat gel, which led to a clearer three-dimensional network structure. High pressure made it possible to form minced fish meat gels with a low salt concentration. Obtained minced fish meat gels were improved in textural properties by addition of water and under high pressure, which were different from the ones by traditional heating. Improvement in textural properties will raise the sensory evaluation for elderly and dysphagic people. It is expected that the pressurized gels will be practical for a dysphagia diet.展开更多

The rheological properties of mixture samples were studied by the time sweep, frequency sweep and temperature sweep. The critical strain values of the mixture samples for the onset of non-linear viscoelasticity were about 5%. The storage modulus G' of the mixture samples increased with time for 4 h. The frequency sweep showed that G' was greater than G" for all the mixture gels with different alginate gel concentrations, and values of both n' and n" for all samples were low (<0.2), these constants corresponding to G' and G", and indicating the elasticity of mixture gels. The values of storage modulus G' decreased during heating process and increased with decreasing temperature.展开更多

The sol-gel process and the structure of the phosphor were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). It is found that the single anorthite phase formed at about 1000 %, which is 300 % lower than that required for the conventional solid state reaction. The obtained phosphor powders are easier to grind than those of solid state method and the partical size of phosphor has a relative narrow distribution of 200 to 500 nm. The photoluminescence and afterglow properties of the phosphor were also characterized. An obvious blue shift occurs in the excitation and emission spectra of phosphors obtained by sol-gel and solid state reaction methods. The change of the fluorescence spectra can be attributed to the sharp decrease of the crystalline grain size of the phosphor resulted from the sol-gel technique.展开更多

Effects of heat treatment parameters, temperature and holding time, the fluxes, and atmosphere on microstructure and particle morphology as well as luminescent properties of YAG:Ce3+ phosphor powders were studied by X-ray powder diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and fluorescence spectrophotometry. The results show that the formation temperature (1 000 ℃) of pure YAG phase is significant low when being synthesized by the polyacrylamide gel method, compared with solid-state reaction. For luminescent properties, the intensity of emission of YAG:Ce3+ phosphor increases steadily with increasing temperature from 900 ℃ to 1 300 ℃ and prolonging holding time from 100 min to 400 min. But blue shift phenomenon is observed for 400 min calcination. Fluxes as BaF2 and H3BO3 can enhance the intensity of emission of phosphor due to the improvement of crystallization of YAG and the stabilization of trivalence cerium ion in YAG host lattice at high temperature. Weak reduction atmosphere can contribute to improvement of the emission intensity of YAG:Ce3+ phosphor powders.展开更多

The results show that LuAG film starts to crystallize at about 900 ℃, and the particle size increases with the sintering temperature. Excitation and emission spectra of Tb^3+ doped LuAG films were measured. The effects of heat-treatment temperature and doping concentration of Th3 + on the luminescent properties were also investigated. The precursor sol was dipped onto the absorbent cotton, and gel was formed on the absorbent cotton template after the volatilization of moisture. Fe2O3 microtubules were synthesized after the process of self-propagation or calcination. The phase, morphology, and particle diameter of the samples were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the magnetic properties of the samples were measured using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The external diameters of Fe2O3 microtubules ranged between 8 and 13 μm, and the wall thicknesses ranged between 0.5 and 2 μm. The type of the calcination method plays a significant role in developing the Fe2O3 phase and the variation in the magnetic properties in the sol-gel template complexing method. γ-Fe2O3 was synthesized by a self-propagation method. However, α-Fe203 was synthesized after calcination at 400℃ for 2 h. The coercivity of the samples synthesized by calcination at 400℃ for 2 h after self-propagation was found to increase significantly, thereby presenting hard magnetic properties.展开更多

The luminescent intensity increases as the temperature of heat treatment is increased, This study investigated the effects of the molar ratio of ethylene glycol to citric acid (Ф value), with respect to the phase formation and luminescence properties of BAM. The variation of the Фvalue resulted in the change of the sol-gel reaction mechanism and the microstructures of the resultant powders. An increase in Фvalue leads to an increase in the rate of BAM phase formation. The photoluminescent intensity of the prepared phosphors increases with heating temperatures because of enhanced crystallization.展开更多

The effects of the additives and the cacinating temperature on the magnetic properties are investigated, and the results show that single-phase barium ferrite powders can be formed. After heat-treating at 950 ℃ for 4h with 3 wt% additive, the coercivity and saturation magnetization are found to be 440 Oe and 57.9 emu/g, respectively.展开更多

Li–Ni–Co ferrites with compositional formula Li_(0.45-0.5x)Ni_(0.1)Co_xFe_(2.45-0.5x)O_4, where 0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.1 in steps of 0.02 were prepared by chemical sol–gel method and sintered by microwave sintering technique. The x-ray diffraction patterns confirmed the formation of single phase with spinel structure in all the samples. The structural parameter viz.lattice constant, crystallite size, and x-ray density for these samples were studied and compared with those measured from samples of similar composition prepared by the sol–gel method and sintered by conventional sintering technique. Enhancement in the magnetic properties like Curie temperature, hysteresis parameters was observed by employing sol–gel synthesis combined with microwave sintering. The results obtained and mechanisms involved are discussed in the paper.展开更多

The spinel lithium manganese mixed oxides were prepared from lithium nitrate, manganese nitrate and citric acid by a sol-gel method and were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, cyclic voltammetry and constant current charging-discharging technique. The different sintering temperatures for different time have strong influence on the structure, initial discharge capacity and cycling performance of the lithium manganese oxide. It shows that the lithium manganese oxides sintered at 700 ℃ for 10 h have a single spinel structure and better electrochemical properties. The initial discharging capacity can be up to 125.9 mAh·g-1, even after six cycles, it still retains 109.1 mAh·g-1.展开更多

Compared with non-substituted ba...Al-substituted barium ferrite powders were synthesized using the sol-gel auto-combustion method according to the molecular formula BaAlxFe12-xO19 (x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 1.0). Compared with non-substituted barium ferrite annealing at 1000 ℃, the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurement manifested that the optimum magnetic properties formation temperature of Al-substituted barium ferrite was 1 100 ℃. The data from X-ray diffractometer (XRD) showed that with increasing x, the lattice constants (a and c) decreased as well as the unit-cell volume Vcell. Magnetic measurement of non-substituted and Al-substituted powders annealed from 900 ℃ to 1 200 ℃ exhibited that the maximum magnetization M (10 kOe), the remanent magnetization Mr and the coercivity Hc depended strongly on the chemical composition of powder as well as the annealing temperature. When annealing at 1 100 ℃, BaAl0.5Fe11.5O19 of high coercivity Hc (6584 Oe) was produced. Meanwhile, M (10 kOe) and Mr were 42.83 emu/g and 25.65 emu/g, respectively.展开更多

The effects of heat-treatment temperature and doping concentration of Th3 + on the luminescent properties were also investigated. For a comparison study, Th^3+-doped LuAG powders were also prepared by the same sol-gel method.

文摘Indium-tin-oxide(ITO)films were prepared on the quarts glass by sol-gel technique.Effects of different heat treatment temperatures and cooling methods on the morphological,optical and electrical properties of ITO films were measured by TG/DTA, IR,XRD,SEM,UV-VIS spectrometer and four-probe apparatus.It is found that the crystallized ITO films exhibit a polycrystalline cubic bixbyite structure.The heat treatment process has significant effects on the morphological,optical and electrical properties of ITO films.Elevating the heat treatment temperature can perfect the crystallization process of ITO films,therefore the optical and electrical properties of ITO films are improved.But the further increasing of heat treatment temperature results in the increment of ITO films’resistivity.Compared with ITO films elaborated by furnace cooling,those prepared through air cooling have following characteristics as obviously decreased crystalline size,deeply declined porosity,more compact micro-morphology,improved electrical property and slightly decreased optical transmission.
文摘The influence of swelling time, temperature, NaCl concentration and polymer micro-gel concentration on rheological properties of polymer micro-gel dispersions was studied by using a HAAKE rheometer. The results showed that with increasing swelling time and NaCl concentration, the polymer micro-gel dispersions changed from a shear-thickening fluid to a Newtonian fluid. The polymer micro-gel dispersion show shear-thinning in non-saline water. At higher swelling temperature, the time of the polymer micro-gel dispersion showing shear-thickening was shorter. With increasing polymer micro-gel concentration, the dispersion changed from shear-thickening to shear-thinning.

文摘Fe(OH)3 precursor sol was prepared by a sol-gel method. The precursor sol was dipped onto the absorbent cotton, and gel was formed on the absorbent cotton template after the volatilization of moisture. Fe2O3 microtubules were synthesized after the process of self-propagation or calcination. The phase, morphology, and particle diameter of the samples were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the magnetic properties of the samples were measured using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The external diameters of Fe2O3 microtubules ranged between 8 and 13 μm, and the wall thicknesses ranged between 0.5 and 2 μm. The type of the calcination method plays a significant role in developing the Fe2O3 phase and the variation in the magnetic properties in the sol-gel template complexing method. γ-Fe2O3 was synthesized by a self-propagation method. However, α-Fe203 was synthesized after calcination at 400℃ for 2 h. The coercivity of the samples synthesized by calcination at 400℃ for 2 h after self-propagation was found to increase significantly, thereby presenting hard magnetic properties.
文摘The synthesis of BaMgAl10O17: Eu^2+ (BAM) phosphors using the sol-gel method and their luminescence properties were reported. The blue-light emitting BAM was synthesized using citric acid and ethylene glycol as chelating materials. Emission of blue-light was obtained from these phosphors. The luminescent intensity increases as the temperature of heat treatment is increased, This study investigated the effects of the molar ratio of ethylene glycol to citric acid (Ф value), with respect to the phase formation and luminescence properties of BAM. The variation of the Фvalue resulted in the change of the sol-gel reaction mechanism and the microstructures of the resultant powders. An increase in Фvalue leads to an increase in the rate of BAM phase formation. The photoluminescent intensity of the prepared phosphors increases with heating temperatures because of enhanced crystallization.

文摘In this paper, M-type hexagonal barium ferrite powders are synthesized using the sol-gel method. A dried precursor heated in air is analyzed in the temperature range from 50 to 1200 ℃ using thermo-gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The effects of the additives and the cacinating temperature on the magnetic properties are investigated, and the results show that single-phase barium ferrite powders can be formed. After heat-treating at 950 ℃ for 4h with 3 wt% additive, the coercivity and saturation magnetization are found to be 440 Oe and 57.9 emu/g, respectively.
文摘The properties of lithium ferrites are very sensitive to chemical composition, synthesis method, and sintering techniques. Li–Ni–Co ferrites with compositional formula Li_(0.45-0.5x)Ni_(0.1)Co_xFe_(2.45-0.5x)O_4, where 0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.1 in steps of 0.02 were prepared by chemical sol–gel method and sintered by microwave sintering technique. The x-ray diffraction patterns confirmed the formation of single phase with spinel structure in all the samples. The structural parameter viz.lattice constant, crystallite size, and x-ray density for these samples were studied and compared with those measured from samples of similar composition prepared by the sol–gel method and sintered by conventional sintering technique. Enhancement in the magnetic properties like Curie temperature, hysteresis parameters was observed by employing sol–gel synthesis combined with microwave sintering. The results obtained and mechanisms involved are discussed in the paper.

文摘Microstructure and electrical properties of La2 O3-doped ZnO-Bi2 O3 thin films prepared by sol–gel process have been investigated.X-ray diffraction shows that most diffraction peaks of ZnO are equal,and the crystals of ZnO grow well.Scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy results indicate that the samples have a good structure and lower surface roughness.The nonlinear V–I characteristics of the films show that La2 O3 develops the electrical properties largely and the best doped content is 0.3% lanthanum ion,with the leakage current of 0.25 mA,the threshold field of 150 V/mm and the nonlinear coefficient of 4.0 in detail.

文摘Spinel LiMn2O4 has been considered to be the most promising alternative cathode material for the new generation of lithium-ion batteries in terms of its low cost, non-toxicity and easy manufacture. The spinel lithium manganese mixed oxides were prepared from lithium nitrate, manganese nitrate and citric acid by a sol-gel method and were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, cyclic voltammetry and constant current charging-discharging technique. The different sintering temperatures for different time have strong influence on the structure, initial discharge capacity and cycling performance of the lithium manganese oxide. It shows that the lithium manganese oxides sintered at 700 ℃ for 10 h have a single spinel structure and better electrochemical properties. The initial discharging capacity can be up to 125.9 mAh·g-1, even after six cycles, it still retains 109.1 mAh·g-1.

文摘Some noticeable effects of process conditions, such as coagulation bath, solvent extraction, drying shrinkage and ultra-drawing, on the structure and properties of gel-spun PVA fibers are studied and discussed. High strength and high modulus PVA fibers with tensile strength of 11.3 cN / dtex and initial modulus of 430 cN / dtex have been obtained.

文摘Al-substituted barium ferrite powders were synthesized using the sol-gel auto-combustion method according to the molecular formula BaAlxFe12-xO19 (x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 1.0). Compared with non-substituted barium ferrite annealing at 1000 ℃, the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) measurement manifested that the optimum magnetic properties formation temperature of Al-substituted barium ferrite was 1 100 ℃. The data from X-ray diffractometer (XRD) showed that with increasing x, the lattice constants (a and c) decreased as well as the unit-cell volume Vcell. Magnetic measurement of non-substituted and Al-substituted powders annealed from 900 ℃ to 1 200 ℃ exhibited that the maximum magnetization M (10 kOe), the remanent magnetization Mr and the coercivity Hc depended strongly on the chemical composition of powder as well as the annealing temperature. When annealing at 1 100 ℃, BaAl0.5Fe11.5O19 of high coercivity Hc (6584 Oe) was produced. Meanwhile, M (10 kOe) and Mr were 42.83 emu/g and 25.65 emu/g, respectively.
