During node mobility, there are possibilities for the malicious node to become the cluster head or cluster member. This causes the cluster or the whole network to be controlled by the malicious nodes. To offer high level of security, the mobile sensor nodes need to be authenticated. Further, clustering of nodes improves scalability, energy efficient routing and data delivery. In this paper, we propose a cluster based secure dynamic keying technique to authenticate the nodes during mobility. The nodes with high configuration are chosen as cluster heads based on the weight value which is estimated using parameters such as the node degree, average distance, node's average speed, and virtual battery power. The keys are dynamically generated and used for providing security. Even the keys are compromised by the attackers, they are not able to use the previous keys to cheat or disuse the authenticated nodes. In addition, a bidirectional malicious node detection technique is employed which eliminates the malicious node from the network. By simulation, it is proved that the proposed technique provides efficient security with reduced energy consumption during node mobility.展开更多

Heterogeneity with respect to number/types of communication interfaces, their data rates and that with respect to energy dissipation model have been exploited for energy and throughput efficiency. The algorithm makes routing assignment optimized for throughput and energy and has a complexity of N/K*logN+k2logk approximately, where N is the number of nodes and k is the number of kcluster heads. Performance experiments confirm the effectiveness of throughput and energy optimizations. The importance of choosing an optimal cluster radius has been shown. The energy consumption in the network scales up well with respect to the network size.展开更多

The purpose of the algorithm was to balance the load of clusters by utilizing all system resources effectively and to avoid violent shaking of the system per- formance. A lot of simulations on the Petri net model of load balance system are conducted and the algorithm is compared with some traditional algorithms on balancing ability for heterogeneity, system throughput, re- quest response time and performance stability. The results of simulations show that the algorithm achieves system higher performance and it has excellent ability to deal with the heterogeneity of clustered media server.展开更多

First, for identifying the optimal number of clusters, the two-step cluster method is applied to analyze actual speed data, which suggests that dividing speed data into two clusters can best reflect the intrinsic patterns of traffic flows. Such information is then taken as guidance in probability distribution function fitting. The normal, skew-normal and skew-t distribution functions are used to fit the probability distribution of each cluster respectively, which suggests that the skew-t distribution has the highest fitting accuracy; the second is skew-normal distribution; the worst is normal distribution. Model analysis results demonstrate that the proposed mixture model has a better fitting and generalization capability than the conventional single model. In addition, the new method is more flexible in terms of data fitting and can provide a more accurate model of speed distribution.展开更多

Additionally, the discussion covered the effects of geology, treatment, and perforation characteristics on the non-planar propagation behavior. According to experimental findings, two parallel transverse fractures can be successfully initiated from in-plane perforation clusters in the horizontal well because of the in-plane perforation, the guide nonuniform fishbone structure fracture propagation still can be exhibited. The emergence of transverse fractures and axial fractures combined as complex fractures under low horizontal principal stress difference and large pump rate conditions. The injection pressure was also investigated, and the largest breakdown pressure can be also found for samples under these conditions. The increase in perforation number or decrease in the cluster spacing could provide more chances to increase the complexity of the target stimulated zone, thus affecting the pressure fluctuation. In a contrast, the increase in fracturing fluid viscosity can reduce the multiple fracture complexity. The fracture propagation is significantly affected by the change in the rock mechanical properties. The fracture geometry in the high brittle zone seems to be complicated and tends to induce fracture reorientation from the weak-brittle zone. The stress shadow effect can be used to explain the fracture attraction, branch, connection, and repulsion in the multiple perforation clusters for the horizontal well. The increase in the rock heterogeneity can enhance the stress shadow effect, resulting in more complex fracture geometry. In addition, the variable density perforation and temporary plugging fracturing were also conducted, demonstrating higher likelihood for non-uniform multiple fracture propagation. Thus, to increase the perforation efficiency along the horizontal well, it is necessary to consider the lateral fracability of the horizontal well on target formation.展开更多

This paper proposes new hybrid energy efficient transmission protocol called Hybrid Transmission Protocol (HTP). The proposed algorithm focuses on the issues of throughput dreadful conditions and limited power on mobile nodes due to conflicts in multi-cell wireless networks. The design principle of the proposed routing algorithm is to introduce a new border cluster between the sink nodes and the cluster-heads in order to lengthen the lifetime of the network nodes with minimized energy consumption to attain energy efficiency. The creation of clusters is done by making use of the sensor nodes formation that has a Cluster-Head (CH) used for performing the data aggregation in the sensor nodes of the cluster. Later the data that is aggregated is transmitted with multiple hops to the base station and in turn, this process leads to the reduction in the bandwidth through the elimination of the redundant data present in a cluster. The performance results indicate that the HTP proposed gained greater network lifetime, better performance and higher throughput compared to the other available algorithms.展开更多

Scanning Electron Microscopy( SEM) analysis reflects that influent conditions change the morphologies of biofilm. Clustering is known as an effective technique to overcome this problem. Clustering improves network performance by implementing a logical network backbone. Therefore, how to efficiently construct this backbone among CRAHNs is of interest. In this paper, we propose a new clustering algorithm for CRAHNs. Moreover, we model a novel cluster head selection function based on the channel heterogeneity in term of transmission ranges. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to model the channel heterogeneity into the clustering formation in cognitive radio networks. Simulation results show that the performance of clustering is significantly improved by the channel heterogeneity considerations.展开更多

文摘In order to investigate the effect of influent condition heterogeneity on diversity of the bacterial community, the degree of microbial resolution and effluent quality, biological treatment of micro-polluted source water is proposed. Scanning Electron Microscopy( SEM) analysis reflects that influent conditions change the morphologies of biofilm. Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis( DGGE) analysis shows differences of H values are due to succession of functional bacterial communities. Microbial resolution values and species identifications reveal organic carbon is the main cause of community differentiation and bacterial migration.

文摘This paper presented an idea to replace the traditionally expensive parallel machines by heterogeneous cluster of workstations. To emphasise the usability of cluster of workstations platform for parallel and distributed computing, also the paper presented the status report on the effort and experiences for the implementation of a dynamic load balancing for parallel tree computation depth first search(DFS) on the cluster of a workstations project. It compared the speedup performance obtained from our platform with that obtained from the traditional one. The speedup results show that cluster of workstations can be a serious alternative to the expensive parallel machines.
文摘The absence of network infrastructure and opportunistic spectrum access in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) results in connectivity and stability problems. Simulation results show that the performance of clustering is significantly improved by the channel heterogeneity considerations.
