Seismic risk evaluation(SRE) in early stages(e.g., project planning and preliminary design)for a mountain tunnel located in seismic areas has the same importance as that in final stages(e.g.,performance-based design, ...Seismic risk evaluation(SRE) in early stages(e.g., project planning and preliminary design)for a mountain tunnel located in seismic areas has the same importance as that in final stages(e.g.,performance-based design, structural analysis, and optimization). SRE for planning mountain tunnels bridges the gap between the planning on the macro level and the design/analysis on the micro level regarding the risk management of infrastructural systems. A transition from subjective or qualitative description to objective or quantitative quantification of seismic risk is aimed to improve the seismic behavior of the mountain tunnel and thus reduce the associated seismic risk. A new method of systematic SRE for the planning mountain tunnel was presented herein. The method employs extension theory(ET)and an ET-based improved analytical hierarchy process. Additionally, a new risk-classification criterion is proposed to classify and quantify the seismic risk for a planning mountain tunnel. This SRE method is applied to a mountain tunnel in southwest China, using the extension model based on matter element theory and dependent function operation.The reasonability and flexibility of the SRE method for application to the mountain tunnel are illustrated.According to different seismic risk levels and classification criteria, methods and measures for improving the seismic design are proposed, which can reduce the seismic risk and provide a frame of reference for elaborate seismic design.展开更多

To solve the problem, a case-based extension fault diagnosis (CEFD) method is proposed combining with extension theory, in which the basic-element model is used for the unified and deep fault description, the distance concept is applied to quantify the correlation degree between the new fault and the original fault cases, and the extension transformation is used to expand and obtain the solution of unknown faults. With the application in Tennessee Eastman process, the result indicates that CEFD method has a flexible fault representation, objective fault retrieve performance and good ability for fault study, providing a new way for diagnosing production faults accurately.展开更多

The definitions, grammar rules, and storage structure of EKR were presented. An Extension Solving Model (ESM) based on EKR was discussed in detail, including creation of the extension constraint graph, extended inference, calculation of relevant functions and generation of extension set. A knowledge base system based on EKR and ESM was developed, which was applied in extension repository system intelligent design of detection in photosynthesis process of D.huoshanense. More reasonable results were obtained than traditional rule-based system. EKR was feasible in intelligent design to solve the problem of intelligent detection knowledge representations.展开更多

In addition, user and operator codetermine the optimal network using the proposed algorithm, which can give consideration to user and operator benefits. The fuzzy judgment matrix is coustructed by membership degree of decision factors which is calculated according to extension theory. The comprehensive weight of each decision factor is obtained using FAHP. Finally, the optimal network is selected through total property value ranldng of each candidate network under user preference and operator preference. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can select the optimal network efficiently and accurately, satisfy user preference, and implement load balance between networks.展开更多
The study determined the roles of agricultural extension in hybrid rice technology decision-making process by extension agents,Nay Pyi Taw,Myanmar.The specific objectives were:to study personal characteristics of agri...The study determined the roles of agricultural extension in hybrid rice technology decision-making process by extension agents,Nay Pyi Taw,Myanmar.The specific objectives were:to study personal characteristics of agricultural extension agents,experiences and their roles,to identify extension agents’opinion on hybrid rice technology decision-making process,and to determine relationship between the roles of agricultural extension agents and decision-making process of hybrid rice production.One hundred and eight extension agents were collected who were working in Department of Agriculture,Nay Pyi Taw area and surveyed and interviewed by questionnaires.The study revealed that majority of agricultural extension agents(65.7%)were female staffs and most of extension agents(40.7%)were under 30 years as young staffs.Majority of extension agents(81.5%)were educated only Agri-Diploma.More than half(54.6%)had one to five-year experiences in employment and 58.3%had no hybrid rice training experience and source of information regarding the hybrid rice production was received 63.9%from Department of Agriculture(DOA).Study found that there was highly significant relationship between most of the roles of agricultural extension agents and hybrid rice technology decision-making process of stages 4 and 5.And then most of the extension agents’roles singnificantly related with stage 2 except role of conducting introduction of hybrid seeds and distribution through by Seed Co.Ltds which was highly significant.Beside,most of the roles of extension agents significantly related with stage 3.However stages 1 and 6 were no singnificantly related.Finally above all,a well structure seed business,Good Agricultural Practices and farm level mechanization and quality extension service are very important to increase the adoption of hybrid rice in Myanmar.展开更多
Mild steel plates of thicknesses 0.5 mm,0.6 mm,0.7 mm,0.8 mm,0.9 mm and 1.0 mm were prepared as test samples.After welding with the developed welding robot and manual electric arc welding machine these test samples we...Mild steel plates of thicknesses 0.5 mm,0.6 mm,0.7 mm,0.8 mm,0.9 mm and 1.0 mm were prepared as test samples.After welding with the developed welding robot and manual electric arc welding machine these test samples were subjected to Tensile Strength and Hardness tests.All data obtained including hardness,load and extension were analyzed and the data produced from electric arc welding operations,the robot welding operations and un-welded plates(control)were compared with one another.The statistical analyses of hardness,load and extension tests for developed welding robot,manual electric arc welding and un-welded(control)mild steel plates of different thicknesses were carried out.The results revealed that for hardness,the developed robot welding has the highest mean value of 115.30,standard deviation value of 14.32 and variance value of 205.06.The descriptive statistics of the load showed that the developed robot welding samples collectively have the lowest mean value of 2,536.85,standard deviation value of 704.21 and variance value of 495,911.72.The descriptive statistics of the extension in which the developed robot welding samples collectively have the lowest mean value of 1.29,standard deviation value of 0.43 and variance value of 0.18 were also determined.The result for hardness showed homogeneity of variance among hardness tests of the samples,which implies variation in the hardness test among the tests of the samples since p-value is 0.038.While the result for loads shows homogeneity of variance among loads of the samples in which the result reveals that there is no variation in the loads among the tests of the samples since p-value is 0.322.The result for extension shows homogeneity of variance among extensions of the samples in which it revealed that there is variation in the extensions among the tests of the samples since p-value is 0.011.The analysis of variance(ANOVA)test result revealed that there is a significant difference in the hardness of the samples in which developed robot welding operation gave the highest hardness compared with electric arc welding and un-welded(CONTROL)since p-value is 0.028.The ANOVA test result for load revealed that there is no significant difference in the loads of the samples since p-value is 0.51.The ANOVA test result of the extension shows that there is a significant difference in the extension of the samples in which developed robot welding operation gave the lowest extension compared with electric arc welding and un-welded(CONTROL)since p-value is 0.001.The results of hardness also showed the mean difference of 16.48 between developed robot welding and un-welded(CONTROL)samples and 7.26 between developed robot welding and electric arc welding samples.Finally,for extension the mean difference of-5.28 between developed robot welding and un-welded(CONTROL)samples and-1.22 between developed robot welding and electric arc welding samples were established.展开更多

Based on the correlative materials, this paper presents extensible markup language (XML) based strategy for several important problems of data processing in network supported collaborative design, such as the representation of standard for the exchange of product model data (STEP) with XML in the product information expression and the management of XML documents using relational database. The paper gives a detailed exposition on how to clarify the mapping between XML structure and the relationship database structure and how XML-QL queries can be translated into structured query language (SQL) queries. The proposed method combines the FOC (fourth-order cumulants) technique with the ETAM (extended towed array measurements) method to extend array aperture and suppress Gaussian noise, First, successive measurements of a virtual uniform linear array were constructed by applying lburth-order cumulants to measurements of uniform linear array; Gaussian noise in these measurements was also eliminated. Then, the array was extended by compensating phase differences using the ETAM method, Finally, the synthetic aperture was extended further by the fourth-order cumulants technique. The proposed FOC-ETAM-FOC method not only improves angular resolution and array gain, but also effectively suppresses Gaussian noise. Furthermore, it inherits the advantages of the ETAM method. Simulation results showed that the FOC-ETAM-FOC method achieved better angular resolution and array gain than the ETAM method. Furthermore this method outperforms the ETAM method in Gaussian noise environment.展开更多
Due to the increasing power consumption of whole society and widely using of new non-linear and asymmetric electrical equipment,power quality assessment problem in the new period has attracted more and more attention....Due to the increasing power consumption of whole society and widely using of new non-linear and asymmetric electrical equipment,power quality assessment problem in the new period has attracted more and more attention.The mathematical essence of comprehensive assessment of power quality is a multiattribute optimal decision-making problem.In order to solve the key problem of determining the indicator weight in the process of power quality assessment,a rough analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is proposed to aggregate the judgment opinions of multiple experts and eliminate the subjective effects of single expert judgment.Based on the advantage of extension analysis for solving the incompatibility problem,extension analysis method is adopted to assess the power quality.The assessment grades of both total power quality and each assessment indicator are obtained by correlation function.Through a case of 110 kV bus of a converting station in a wind farm of China,the feasibility and effectiveness of the propose method are demonstrated.The result shows that the proposed method can determine the overall power quality of power grid,as well as compare the differences among the performance of assessment indicators and provide the basis for further improving of power quality.展开更多

Second, the extensible basic-element model of the design process gene is established based on the models of the design process base and the base pair through analyzing the concept and structure of the design process gene and the extensible basic-element as well as its extensibility. Third, the features of divergence and scalability of the extensible basic-element model of the design process gene are discussed for carrying out the extension translation to the design process gene by way of inserting, deleting and updating design process bases. Finally, an example of building extensible basic-element models for the design process base, base pair and design process gene in mechanical product design and the mutation process of the design process gene in airplane design is presented which demonstrates the application of the method proposed in this paper.展开更多
This paper addresses the estimation problem of an unknown drift parameter matrix for a fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process in a multi-dimensional setting.To tackle this problem,we propose a novel approach based on r...This paper addresses the estimation problem of an unknown drift parameter matrix for a fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process in a multi-dimensional setting.To tackle this problem,we propose a novel approach based on rough path theory that allows us to construct pathwise rough path estimators from both continuous and discrete observations of a single path.Our approach is particularly suitable for high-frequency data.To formulate the parameter estimators,we introduce a theory of pathwise Itôintegrals with respect to fractional Brownian motion.By establishing the regularity of fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes and analyzing the long-term behavior of the associated Lévy area processes,we demonstrate that our estimators are strongly consistent and pathwise stable.Our findings offer a new perspective on estimating the drift parameter matrix for fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes in multi-dimensional settings,and may have practical implications for fields including finance,economics,and engineering.展开更多
Fault diagnosis plays an important role in complicated industrial process.It is a challenging task to detect,identify and locate faults quickly and accurately for large-scale process system.To solve the problem,a nove...Fault diagnosis plays an important role in complicated industrial process.It is a challenging task to detect,identify and locate faults quickly and accurately for large-scale process system.To solve the problem,a novel Multi Boost-based integrated ENN(extension neural network) fault diagnosis method is proposed.Fault data of complicated chemical process have some difficult-to-handle characteristics,such as high-dimension,non-linear and non-Gaussian distribution,so we use margin discriminant projection(MDP) algorithm to reduce dimensions and extract main features.Then,the affinity propagation(AP) clustering method is used to select core data and boundary data as training samples to reduce memory consumption and shorten learning time.Afterwards,an integrated ENN classifier based on Multi Boost strategy is constructed to identify fault types.The artificial data sets are tested to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method and make a detailed sensitivity analysis for the key parameters.Finally,a real industrial system—Tennessee Eastman(TE) process is employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed method.And the results show that the proposed method is efficient and capable to diagnose various types of faults in complicated chemical process.展开更多

文摘Due to the increasing power consumption of whole society and widely using of new non-linear and asymmetric electrical equipment,power quality assessment problem in the new period has attracted more and more attention.The mathematical essence of comprehensive assessment of power quality is a multiattribute optimal decision-making problem.In order to solve the key problem of determining the indicator weight in the process of power quality assessment,a rough analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is proposed to aggregate the judgment opinions of multiple experts and eliminate the subjective effects of single expert judgment.Based on the advantage of extension analysis for solving the incompatibility problem,extension analysis method is adopted to assess the power quality.The assessment grades of both total power quality and each assessment indicator are obtained by correlation function.Through a case of 110 kV bus of a converting station in a wind farm of China,the feasibility and effectiveness of the propose method are demonstrated.The result shows that the proposed method can determine the overall power quality of power grid,as well as compare the differences among the performance of assessment indicators and provide the basis for further improving of power quality.
文摘In this paper a method is developed to model the design process gene based on the extensible basic-element with the purpose of design process optimization and reuse. First, the principle of genetic engineering based design process optimization and reuse is put forward and analyzed. Second, the extensible basic-element model of the design process gene is established based on the models of the design process base and the base pair through analyzing the concept and structure of the design process gene and the extensible basic-element as well as its extensibility. Third, the features of divergence and scalability of the extensible basic-element model of the design process gene are discussed for carrying out the extension translation to the design process gene by way of inserting, deleting and updating design process bases. Finally, an example of building extensible basic-element models for the design process base, base pair and design process gene in mechanical product design and the mutation process of the design process gene in airplane design is presented which demonstrates the application of the method proposed in this paper.

文摘This paper addresses the estimation problem of an unknown drift parameter matrix for a fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process in a multi-dimensional setting.To tackle this problem,we propose a novel approach based on rough path theory that allows us to construct pathwise rough path estimators from both continuous and discrete observations of a single path.Our approach is particularly suitable for high-frequency data.To formulate the parameter estimators,we introduce a theory of pathwise Itôintegrals with respect to fractional Brownian motion.By establishing the regularity of fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes and analyzing the long-term behavior of the associated Lévy area processes,we demonstrate that our estimators are strongly consistent and pathwise stable.Our findings offer a new perspective on estimating the drift parameter matrix for fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes in multi-dimensional settings,and may have practical implications for fields including finance,economics,and engineering.

文摘Fault diagnosis plays an important role in complicated industrial process.It is a challenging task to detect,identify and locate faults quickly and accurately for large-scale process system.To solve the problem,a novel Multi Boost-based integrated ENN(extension neural network) fault diagnosis method is proposed.Fault data of complicated chemical process have some difficult-to-handle characteristics,such as high-dimension,non-linear and non-Gaussian distribution,so we use margin discriminant projection(MDP) algorithm to reduce dimensions and extract main features.Then,the affinity propagation(AP) clustering method is used to select core data and boundary data as training samples to reduce memory consumption and shorten learning time.Afterwards,an integrated ENN classifier based on Multi Boost strategy is constructed to identify fault types.The artificial data sets are tested to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method and make a detailed sensitivity analysis for the key parameters.Finally,a real industrial system—Tennessee Eastman(TE) process is employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed method.And the results show that the proposed method is efficient and capable to diagnose various types of faults in complicated chemical process.
文摘This paper starts with the theoretical reflection on the relationship between IVA (Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition) and extensive reading based on reading process and vocabulary acquisition process, claiming that inferring word meaning is not equated with vocabulary acquisition. Then, some implications are drawn from the theoretical reflection, that is, three factors--text, learner and situation--have great impact on the process of acquiring vocabulary through extensive reading. After that, it follows the review of current research on specific aspects at textual, leamer and situational level.
文摘为从系统整体角度完成对起落架收放系统的风险辨识和影响分析,将系统理论过程分析(Systematic Theory Process Analysis,STPA)与决策实验室分析-解释结构模型(Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory Interpretive Structural Modeling,DEMATEL-ISM)相结合来开展分析。首先,定义事故和系统级危险,以民机进近阶段放下起落架为例,运用STPA完成对风险因素的系统化辨识;其次,基于最大平均熵减(Maximum Mean De-entropy,MMDE)算法帮助DEMATEL-ISM模型确定阈值,完成对风险因素影响的重要性分析并识别可能引发系统级危险的风险传递路径,据此挖掘关键致因场景,以给出风险预防建议。结果显示:线路性能退化或失效、位置作动控制组件(Position Action Control Unit,PACU)核心处理器故障为关键原因因素,收放作动筒作动异常、机组成员操作不当、起落架指示灯显示异常、起落架液压选择阀作动异常、PACU信息接收有误为关键结果因素,这些因素均涉及多条可能引发系统级危险的风险传递路径,应予以重点控制。
