Approach to the Ways for High-yielding Technique of Zhongzheyou No.8

[Objective] The paper was focused on the way how to increase the yield of hybrid rice Zhongzheyou No.8. [Method] The relationship among yield-related traits and their contribution to yield were investigated through correlation analysis, regression analysis and path analysis. [Result] The performance of ear, grain and weight in Zhongzheyou No.8 showed significant difference among yield levels. The enhancement of effective ears would restrain the number of total grains per ear. It was found that the direct contributions of main economic traits to yield were： number of fil ed grains per ear 〉 number of effective ears 〉1 000-grain weight 〉number of total grains per ear. [Conclusion] The promotion of high-yielding techniques was suggested as fol ows： on the basis of certain number of effective ears, number of fil ed grains per ear should be mainly focused with a consideration to grain weight.

Cultural Dimensional Transformation Techniques of Hypotaxis and Parataxis in Tourist Publicity C-E Translation

In order to make foreign tourists familiar with China's scenic spots, it is necessary that tourist publicity materials are properly translated. Cultural dimension, as one of the three key dimensions of eco-translatology, plays a very important role in translating. With its basis on cultural dimension of eco- translatology, this paper aims to present transformation techniques of parataxis and hypotaxis between Chinese and English. It is suggested that, with the cultural dimensional transformation techniques of parataxis and hypotaxis, translators should exert their subjectivity and creativity to achieve in maximizing the degree of holistic adaptation and selection for achieving successful translations.

This study aimed to explore simple culture techniques for symbiotic germination-promoting fungi and Armillariella mellea in artificial planting of Gastrodia elata, i.e., how to use a corner of ordinary house as inoculation room and cultivating site, how to use a pressure cooker for cooking food as sterilization tool, and how to use ordinary household heating as heating measures.

Tissue Culture Rapid Propagation and Transplantation Techniques of Anoectochilus roxburghii (Wall) Lind.

[Objectives]To screen the tissue culture rapid propagation formula suitable for each tissue culture stage of Anoectochilus roxburghii( Wall) Lind. [Methods] The stem segments of Fujian A. roxburghii were used as explant to study the tissue culture rapid propagation and transplantation techniques. The comparative experiment was carried out to study the effects of different hormone concentrations on the induction of stem segments,proliferation of cluster buds,rooting and seedling hardening of A. roxburghii,and study the effects of transplantation matrix on the transplantation of A. roxburghii. [Results]MS + 0. 5 mg/L NAA + 2 mg/L BA + 20 g/L sucrose + 6 g/L agar was suitable for induction of stem segments of A. roxburghii; MS + 0. 5 mg/L NAA + 2 mg/L BA + 1 mg/L KT + 25 g/L sucrose + 6 g/L agar was most suitable for proliferation of cluster buds of A. roxburghii; MS + 1. 0 mg/L IBA + 1. 0 mg/L NAA + 1 g/L activated carbon + 50 g/L mashed banana + 25 g/L sucrose + 6 g/L agar was most suitable for rooting and seedling hardening of A. roxburghii; using peat soil: fine sand( 3∶ 1) as transplantation matrix,the survival rate was the highest. [Conclusions] The experiment results are expected to provide references for factory production of A. roxburghii.

The Agronomic Techniques as Determinants of the Phenolic Content and the Biological Antioxidant Effect of Palm-Tree Kale

The content of phytochemicals in vegetables is strongly affected by genetic, agronomic, and environmental factors, and by transportation and storage conditions, potentially affecting the sensory and putative health-promoting properties. In this study the impact of different agricultural techniques on the phenolics content and antioxidant activity of extracts from a traditional Italian kale landrace, called palm-tree kale (Brassica oleracea L., ssp. acephala DC, var. sabellica L.) was evaluated. Furthermore, the antioxidant effects of the different extracts were assessed in a biological system using primary cultures of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes. The final aim was to evidence whether and how the agronomic practices can affect the antioxidant properties of kale not only in vitro but also in cells. Results herein reported underline the influence of the crop production strategies in establishing the potential health benefits of a vegetable. This research approach could be useful for the selection of production techniques that are able to provide edible vegetables with higher functional activity, and evidences the need to study the food domain as a whole with the nutrition domain, and to integrate all results in order to have an overall “foodomics” vision allowing the improvement of health and well-being.
