Practice and Exploration of Experiential Theme Landscape Design in Urban Historic Blocks: A Case Study of Shengjin Tower Folk Custom Historical Block in Nanchang

Urban historic blocks are an important part of urban public space,but urban public space pays far less attention to users’experience,and there is a lack of design problem of experiential theme landscape.The landscape design practice of Shengjin Tower Folk Custom Historical Block in Nanchang provides an attempt to explore the design problem of experiential theme landscape.In this paper,the results of the design practice were sorted out and summarized,and the specific conception of the experiential design of urban public space was discussed from three aspects of the experiential control design,spatial experience design and serial experience design of the historic block on the basis of elaborating the design concept,so as to provide inspiration and reference for similar urban historic block projects.

Research on Spatial Optimization Level Strategy of Beijing Historical Blocks Based on Tourists’Cognitive Evaluation

Tourists,as the main beneficiary of historical block protection and tourism development,are considered qualified to speak on the matter of the preservation of space quality and regional characteristics.The study established a questionnaire using semantic analysis to investigate and evaluate tourists’ perspective of various spatial elements in Beijing’s three historical blocks.Factor analysis and IPA method was introduced to explore how various spatial elements affected the overall environmental perception of tourists.Based on the relative importance of spatial elements,suggestions for optimizing the space of historical blocks were proposed.The study found that:①The overall evaluation of various spatial elements of the historical block was relatively positive,and only the "environmental atmosphere" was closer to the negative evaluation,indicating that most tourists think the environment was too noisy;②All spatial elements can be classified into three indicators:"visual experience","street form" and "perception of regional characteristics";③Landscape planting and space interface needed to be improved first,followed by ground pavement,traffic organization,and advertisement signboard.The research provides a theoretical foundation for reducing the damage caused by improper tourism development behaviors,further improving the spatial quality of historical blocks,and enhancing tourists’ satisfaction of the historical environment.

Cultural Space Expression of Historical Block Based on Tourism Experience

Cultural space is the core space in the historical block,and is the main place to express the culture of the historical block,and the appropriate and reasonable degree of situational expression of cultural space is related to the quality of tourist experience.In this paper,the cultural space in the historical block is divided into two categories:historical and cultural allusions,humanistic life.From visitors’tourism expect and tourist experience quality,the importance of situational expression of cultural space in the historical block is put forward.Through the contrast on current situation of expression of two kinds of cultural space,expression manner of historical and cultural allusions type of culture space based on tourism experience is studied.

Inheritance of Historical Block Context Based on the Theory of Place Spirit:A Case Study of Nanjing Confucius Temple Historic Block

In the context of“stock planning”,the conservation planning of historic blocks and features has become one of the important issues in recent years,which is also of great significance for the regeneration of architectural heritage value.Based on the theoretical support of Norberg Schulz’s“place spirit”,this paper takes Nanjing Confucius Temple Historic Block as an example to interpret the application of“place spirit”in the protection and renewal of historic block and the inheritance strategy of historical block context.

Analysis of Landscape Vitality of Historical and Cultural Blocks Based on AHPFuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method:A Case Study of Daopashi Street in Anqing City

Historical and cultural blocks are witnesses of history and inheritors of culture. As one of the main spaces for outdoor interaction in historical and cultural blocks, the improvement of its vitality is of great significance for the improvement of residential environment and the better inheritance of history and culture. Taking Daopashi Street in Anqing City as an example, an evaluation model of landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks was constructed from three aspects of viewing function, store status and service facilities, and analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the index weight and vaguely evaluate the landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks. The results show that through the comparison of weight, architectural style(0.317), the practicability of service facilities(0.168) and plant landscape(0.165) had a significant impact on the landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks,and the landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks in Daopashi Street in Anqing City was at a good level.

Tourism Development Mode of Historical and Cultural Blocks from the Perspective of Urban Renewal Based on Online Review Data:A Case Study of Nanluoguxiang in Beijing

Under the background of urban renewal, this paper re-explores the tourism development modeof Nanluoguxiang historical and cultural block based on online review data, and puts forward correspondingdevelopment strategies. As a cultural label of a city, historical and cultural blocks should be updated first inorder to achieve sustainable development. By using multi-source big data review and qualitative researchmethods, the perception evaluation of tourists in Nanluoguxiang is obtained, and the shortcomings ofcurrent tourism development mode are analyzed. Furthermore, corresponding improvement strategies andsuggestions are put forward, in order to provide some effective ideas for the sustainable development ofhistorical and cultural blocks in the future.

Dongguan Street in Yangzhou is a block composed of ancient buildings left over from theMing and Qing Dynasties.Three major gardens in Yangzhou,Ge Garden,Ho Family Garden and XieGarden,are located in the block.Due to the proximity to Dongguan ancient ferry,a large number ofgardens gathered forming the famous Dongguan Street in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The protectionand restoration of Dongguan Street should focus on not only the preservation and restoration of historicalrelics,but also the maintenance and renewal of traditional cultural environment,to make the new functionsand vitality adapt to its characteristics.Moreover,historical towns and blocks will maintain harmonious andunifi ed development,and adapt to the sustainable development of Yangzhou City.

Micro Renewal of Historical and Cultural Blocks under the Sustainable Goal: A Case Study of Anzhen Xili Community

Under the background of urban stock development, the residential environment of historical and cultural blocks is facing many challenges. Characteristics and Protection of Historic Blocks in the Downtown of Quanzhou City:A Case Study of the Blocks along Zhongshan Road

Historic block records the historic development and changes of a city,contains rich cultural resources,and is an important product in the process of urban development.Historic block of Zhongshan Road has a long history,so there are many historical buildings with local characteristics and traditional style of commercial market,and it is an important window of refl ecting characteristics and regional culture of Quanzhou ancient city.However in long-period development process,historic buildings and blocks in the block along Zhongshan Road of Quanzhou City were destroyed.We initially study how to rationally develop and protect these precious historic and cultural relics,and the methods,principles and countermeasures of protection are put forward.

Evaluation on Spatial Adaptability of Historic Urban Blocks for Commercial Regeneration

In view of the current situation of aging, functional decline and protection difficulties in historic blocks, the feasibility of commercial regeneration is discussed. Referring to the relevant theories of protection and renewal of historic blocks, field investigation and expert consultation, fuzzy evaluation method and analytic hierarchy process are introduced to carry out a research study on the spatial adaptability of historic blocks for commercial regeneration and establish a preliminary evaluation system. An example of Dongguan Street Historic Block in Dalian is used to test the evaluation system. This provides a basis for the formulation of commercial regeneration strategy in the next stage.

Quantitative Analysis and Research on the Renewal of Historic Blocks: A Case Study of Chuancheng Street in Handan City

Based on the problems found in the study of historical blocks, the paper puts forward the quantifiable standards for maintaining the spatial characteristics of historical blocks by analyzing the key factors of update strategy that influence the spatial characteristics of historical blocks. Combined with the update planning of the north section of Chuancheng Street, a historic block in Handan City, the block space is digitally simulated by space syntax software Depthmap, to study the behavior path and visual field in the renewal of historic blocks. The development strategy of both protection and renewal is put forward, in order to accumulate experience for the sustainable development of historic blocks.

Protection and renewal of historic blocks is not only protection of physical spaces,continuation of intangible cultures,but also management measures of the internal social affairs in the blocks.Taking Chuancheng Street Historic Block in Handan City for example,this paper investigated current situation of the block,applied the organic renewal theory in the block renovation,and put forward relevant space,population and management strategies,so as to provide references for the protective renovation of historic blocks.

Protection and Renewal of Historic Blocks Based on the Theory of SelfOrganization: A Case Study of Si Street and Xinanying in Nantong City

In recent years, due to the neglect of the sodal authenticity of historic blocks, a large number of residential historic blocks ate protected and reformed by means of commercial development, which is controversial. Other unreconstructed residential neighborhoods ate faced with the rngent need to improve their living conditions. Based on the current analysis of the status of protection of residential historic blocks in Qiina, a protection and renewal mode of self-organization was proposed in this paper for the Si Street and Xinanying in Nantong Qty in response to the problems facing them. Combined with the cases of protection and renewal of histone blocks on botii sides of Taiwan Strait, opinions and suggestions were put forward for Si Street and Xinanying in order to better guide die implementation of the protection of tiiese historic blocks, effectively improve tiie living conditions of the residents and make the neighborhoods protected in a true, complete and long-term manner.

Research on Residents' Perception after the Trip to Historic and Cultural Block Based on Urban Memory:A Case Study of Confucius Temple of Nanjing

From the perspective of urban memory, the paper made empirical analysis of residents' perception after the trip to the historic and cultural block, by selecting Confucius Temple of Nanjing as the typical case, using questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and structural equation model. The results indicated that residents had different perceptions after the trip of different elements of the urban memory and some important influential factors were discussed. Moreover, some implications for local governments and planning department were proposed.

Style and Feature Construction of Handan Chuancheng Street from the Perspective of Style and Features

Rapid urbanization and ignorance of the characteristics of the city have led to all cities in the same pattern in China,homogeneity of the urban material space,and lack of humanistic spirits.With the development and transformation,China has paid increasing attention to the characteristics of cities,and the historic and cultural block is the most representative carrier of the traditional style of a city.Taking the historic and cultural block of Chuancheng Street in Handan City as an example,this paper combined Handan's urban style and features,started from the status quo of the block,analyzed the design positioning,explored the style and feature elements,and finally proposed the style and feature construction strategy of Chuancheng Street,explored from the perspective of style and feature creation the strategies of building the traditional style for historic and cultural blocks.
