Lithostratigraphy, Structure, Geological History, Economic Geology and Paleontology of Mari Bugti Hills and Surrounding Areas of Balochistan, South Punjab and North Sindh (Pakistan)

Mari Bugti hills and surroundings belong to Sulaiman basin (fragment of Gondwana) lies under the territory of Balochistan, South Punjab and North Sindh (Pakistan) but luckily have diverse marine and terrestrial sediments varying in age from Triassic to Recent, petroleum and a large number of mineral resources especially huge gypsum and cement resources, numerous suitable anticlinal structures and world-famous paleontology. The large-sized poripuchian titanosaurs, theropods, mesoeucrocodiles, pterosaur, bird and snake were reported from the latest Cretaceous Vitakri Formation, and largest terrestrial mammals and eucrocodiles were reported from the Oligocene Chitarwata Formation and other mammals were also reported from Late Paleogene and Neogene terrestrial deposits. Previously part of this area was not mapped due to remoteness and security problems but recently the mapping of these areas was started. Further, the structural and geological maps of previously omitted parts are added here. After performing the multidisciplinary field investigations by senior author, the corresponding results were obtained. The main objective of this work is to focus on the lithostratigraphic deposits, structure, geological history, economic geology and paleontology of the Mari Bugti Hills and surrounding areas.

THOUGHTS ON CONSTRUCTING THE DEMONSTRATING AREAS OF THE ECOLOGICAL REBUILDING AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN HEXI REGION

Based on the field investigations, this paper analyzes systematically the achievements and problems of constructing the demonstrating areas of the ecological rebuilding and economic sustainable development in Hexi, Gansu Province, and then the thoughts on constructing the demonstrating areas are brought forward. It is considered that all kinds of ecological demonstrating areas should be merged in order to construct large scale characterized demonstrating areas which go beyond the district. In other words, in Hexi Region, Zhangye District should be constructed as the largest ecoagriculture demonstrating area of high technology; Wuwei District should be constructed as the largest ecological demonstrating area of agricultural comprehensive exploitation; JiuJia District, which is the shortened form of Jiuquan and Jiayuguan, should be constructed as the largest ecotourism demonstrating area; and Jinchang City should be constructed as the largest ecoindustry demonstrating area. At the same time, the constructing pattern should be selected according to the actual circumstances; science and technology should be applied to construct the demonstrating areas and accelerate the industrialization in the big market. Additionally, it is important to smooth the constructing system and implement the flexible and efficacious running mechanism, and it is suggested that the committee should be organized to administer the ecological demonstrating areas in Hexi Region.

The ＂New＂ Economic History of Colonial Turkestan or a New Interpretation on the ＂Old＂ Methodology？

The paper considers the methodological problems related to the writing of history of the colonial period. The paper also examines the current state of historical science in Uzbekistan in the last 20 years for this sphere. Author tries to show an example of modem colonial historiography that she is defeated by the influence of the Soviet historiography on the subject. Unfortunately, the modem science of history of Uzbekistan is unable to answer fundamental questions about the colonial history as well as in Uzbekistan does not have specialists in colonial history, and those who are engaged in this sphere too defeated pseudo soviet ideology. The main conclusion of the paper is to modernize the study of history of Uzbekistan, and it is only by virtue of new generation of historians, buyout learned new methodology imperiology.

The Centenary of the CPC:Evolving Economic Development Thought for New China

After the founding of People’s Republic of China in 1949,the economic development philosophies of the Communist Party of China(CPC)evolved over time.Review of this difficult journey of ideological change can not only shed light on the origin,but also better understand the theoretical contributions of Xi Jinping thought on China’s socialist economy in the new era.This paper investigates China’s evolving economic development thoughts from six dimensions in three eras when the Chinese nation(i)independently established a basic industrial system from a blank sheet,(ii)sought prosperity through reform and opening up,and(iii)increased national strength.The six dimensions of this study include:(i)the tasks identified by the Party as essential for various stages of development;(ii)the different modes of economic development embraced based on development thoughts for various stages;(iii)the different modernization pathways to achieve the goals of socialist modernization;(iv)the adjustment of agricultural policy and development paths to close the urban-rural divide;(v)the different approaches for regulating the supply side and demand side of economic development with the emphasis changing across various stages;and(vi)the different emphasis to internal and external economic circulations across various stages.

As a result, its explanation capability is beyond SamuelsonParadigm and New Keynes Paradigm. So, Economic Explanation Paradigm is the same with MillParadigm, Marshall Paradigm, Samuelson Paradigm and New Keynes Paradigm, which should beconsidered to be an important synthesis in the history of economic thought.

In the Mountain's Shadow: Japan's Silk Reelers Blazed an Asian Path of Economic Development

Exploring the history of the silk-reeling industry in Chichibu, Japan, this paper challenges the prevalent representation of mountain communities as marginal economic peripheries of the metropolitan center or as reservoirs of poverty and backwardness. Mountain districts were the cradle of an Asian 搃ndustrious?revolution that led to Japan抯 modernization. The highland-based silk-reeling producers pioneered an autonomous Asian model of industrial development, which competed successfully against the capital-intensive system introduced from the West into coastal cities. The export strength of silk-producing households in upland villages overturns the claim that Japan抯 economic miracle was based on the introduction of Western technology and administrative systems. To the contrary, the Asian-style management practices and labor standards developed by the silk producers were transferred to a succession of other industries. These indigenous practices account for the rise of Japanese industry in world markets. The clash between the two opposing models of modernization resulted in modern Japan抯 first major civil conflict, the Chichibu Rebellion of 1884, a legacy that has major implications for today抯 recession-mired Japan as well as for developing countries striving for an alternative path to economic development.

Today, Turkeychooses the way of selling of the lands to attract the foreign capital. I think the selling of the lands is not a sensiblepolicy to attract foreign capital, and if the Russian model is adopted more efficient results can be obtained.

Removing the Historical Town of Most： Technocratic and Humanistic Thought in the Practice of State Socialism

The pushing through of the idea to destroy the historical town of Most and to build a modem town of the same name nearby, as well as the carrying out of this idea, took place in Northern Bohemia between 1960 and 1980. The immediate cause and chief argument for implementing the whole project was the fact that the old town was located on large supplies of lignite （brown coal）. On the basis of the archival research of this ＂great experiment＂, substantial theses and questions can be formulated. Primarily, the justification of the destruction of a Medieval town and a construction of a new urbane centre was dominated （rather than by communist utopia） by economic and technocratic thought. It was the logics of quantitative calculation, and financial gains and losses, which enforced the plan and shaped the practice of destruction and construction. In this context, the role of the humanistic socialist discourse of justice and good life has to be inquired. This traditional thought was used to back up the technocratic decision as well as to articulate intellectual critique of the whole project. It is especially this ambivalent relationship between the two modernist discourses （the technocratic and humanistic thought）, which constitutes the core of this paper.
