For digital image transmission security and information copyright,a new holographic image self-embedding watermarking encryption scheme is proposed.Firstly,the plaintext is converted to the RGB three-color channel,the corresponding phase hologram is obtained by holographic technology and the watermark is self-embedded in the frequency domain.Secondly,by applying the Hilbert transform principle and genetic center law,a complete set of image encryption algorithms is constructed to realize the encryption of image information.Finally,simulation results and security analysis indicate that the scheme can effectively encrypt and decrypt image information and realize the copyright protection of information.The introduced scheme can provide some support for relevant theoretical research,and has practical significance. 展开更多

In the new 4K-DMDNet, the network is not a “black box” anymore. Rather, the input-output relation must obey to the physics of wavefront propagation, which is embedded here as a constraint. Thus, a labelled dataset is not required, and the model shows superior generalization capabilities with respect to data-driven approaches. The method is promising for the new generation of RGB 4K holographic display, as well as augmented and virtual reality systems. 展开更多

Holographic multiple-input multiple-output(HMIMO)has become an emerging technology for achieving ultra-high frequency spectral efficiency and spatial resolution in future wireless systems.The increasing antenna aperture leads to a more significant characterization of the spherical wavefront in near-field communications in HMIMO scenarios.Beam training as a key technique for wireless communication is worth exploring in this near-field scenario.Compared with the widely researched far-field beam training,the increased dimensionality of the search space for near-field beam training poses a challenge to the complexity and accuracy of the proposed algorithm.In this paper,we introduce several typical near-field beam training methods:exhaustive beam training,hierarchical beam training,and multi-beam training that includes equal interval multi-beam training and hash multi-beam training.The performances of these methods are compared through simulation analysis,and their effectiveness is verified on the hardware testbed as well.Additionally,we provide application scenarios,research challenges,and potential future research directions for near-field beam training. 展开更多

This paper integrates a quantum conception of the Planck epoch early universe with FSC model formulae and the holographic principle, to offer a reasonable explanation and solution of the cosmological constant problem. Such a solution does not appear to be achievable in cosmological models which do not integrate black hole formulae with quantum formulae such as the Stephan-Boltzmann law. As demonstrated herein, assuming a constant value of Lambda over the great span of cosmic time appears to have been a mistake. It appears that Einstein’s assumption of a constant, in terms of vacuum energy density, was not only a mistake for a statically-balanced universe, but also a mistake for a dynamically-expanding universe. 展开更多

To increase the storage capacity in holographic data storage(HDS),the information to be stored is encoded into a complex amplitude.Fast and accurate retrieval of amplitude and phase from the reconstructed beam is necessary during data readout in HDS.In this study,we proposed a complex amplitude demodulation method based on deep learning from a single-shot diffraction intensity image and verified it by a non-interferometric lensless experiment demodulating four-level amplitude and four-level phase.By analyzing the correlation between the diffraction intensity features and the amplitude and phase encoding data pages,the inverse problem was decomposed into two backward operators denoted by two convolutional neural networks(CNNs)to demodulate amplitude and phase respectively.The experimental system is simple,stable,and robust,and it only needs a single diffraction image to realize the direct demodulation of both amplitude and phase.To our investigation,this is the first time in HDS that multilevel complex amplitude demodulation is achieved experimentally from one diffraction intensity image without iterations. 展开更多

Digital holography has high potentials for future 3D imaging and display technology.We present a method for a dynamic full-color digital holographic 3D display on single digital micro-mirror device(DMD)with full-color,high-speed and high-fidelity characteristics.We combine the square regions of adjacent micro-mirrors into super-pixels that can modulate amplitude and phase independently.Gray images are achieved by amplitude modulation and precise positioning of each color is achieved by phase modulation.The proposed method realizes a full-color imaging based on the three primary colors and achieves measured structural similarity of more than 88%and color similarity of more than 98%,while retaining the high switch speed of 9 kHz,thus achieving dynamic full-color 3D display on charge-coupled device(CCD). 展开更多

Holographic display has attracted widespread interest because of its ability to show the complete information of the object and bring people an unprecedented sense of presence. The absence of ideal recording materials has hampered the realization of their commercial applications. Here we report that the response time of a bismuth and magnesium codoped lithium niobate(LN:Bi,Mg) crystal is shortened to 7.2 ms and a sensitivity as high as 646 cm/J. The crystal was used to demonstrate a real-time holographic display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz, as that of the popular high-definition television. Moreover, the first-principles calculations indicate that the electron mobility while Bi occupying Nb-site is significantly greater than that in Li-site, which directly induces the fast response of LN:Bi,Mg crystals when the concentration of Mg is above its doping threshold. 展开更多

The recording is obtained by the copolymerization of acrylamide and N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide. Diffraction efficiencies near 50% are obtained with energetic exposure of 80mJ/cm^2. N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide can improve the optical quality of the film. With the increase of the concentration of N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide, the flatness of the film increases, scattering reduces and the straight image is clearer with a small distortion. The postexposure effect on the grating is also studied. The diffraction efficiency of grating increases further during postexposure, gradient of monomer exists after exposure. 展开更多

We propose a vectorial optical field generation system based on two-dimensional blazed grating to high-efficiently generate structured optical fields with prescribed amplitude,phase,and polarization.In this system,an optimized blazed grating hologram is written on a spatial light modulator(SLM)and can diffract the majority of the incident light into the first-order diffractions of the x and y directions,which then serve as base vectors for synthesizing desired vector beams.Compared with the conventional cosine grating used in the previous work,the proposed two-dimensional,blazed grating has a much higher efficiency.Both computer simulation and optical experiment validate that a conversion efficiency up to 5 times that of the former work is achieved.Our method can facilitate applications of the optical field manipulation. 展开更多

Digital holographic microscopy has been a powerful metrological technique for phase-contrast imaging.However inherent phase aberrations always exist and degrade the quality of the phase-contrast images.A surface fitting method based on an improved mathematic model is proposed,which can be used to remove the phase aberrations without any pre-knowledge of the setup or manual operation.The improved mathematic model includes not only the usual terms but also the cross terms and the high order terms to describe the phase aberrations with high accuracy.Meanwhile,a non-iterative algorithm is used to solve the parametersand thus less computational load is imposed.The proposed method is applied to the live imaging of cells.The experimental results verify its validity. 展开更多

We have established the alloy gene database and holographic alloy positioning system of the Au-Cu system, as well as alloy gene Gibbs energy partition function and equilibrium holographic network phase diagrams of the AuCu-type sublattice system. We investigate how the splicing mode of a holographic element(hogel)affects the reconstruction of a 3 D scene to improve the reconstruction resolution of a holographic stereogram fabricated using the effective perspective image segmentation and mosaicking method(EPISM).First,the effect of hogel spatial multiplexing on holographic recording and reconstruction is studied based on the mechanism of recording interference fringes in the holographic recording medium.Second,combined with the influence of multiple exposures on the hologram's diffraction efficiency,the diffraction efficiency of the holographic stereogram is analyzed in the spatial multiplexing mode.The holographic stereogram is then regarded as a special optical imaging system.The theory of spatial bandwidth product is adopted to describe the comprehensive resolution of the holographic stereogram,which explains why hogel spatial multiplexing can significantly improve the reconstruction resolution of a holographic stereogram.Compared with the traditional printing method under the same parameters in optical experiments,hogel spatial multiplexing has a lower diffraction efficiency but a higher quality of reconstructed image,consistent with the theoretical analysis. 展开更多

In this paper, we demonstrate an alternative approach to fabricating an electrically tunable holographic polymer tem- plated blue phase liquid crystal grating. This grating is obtained by preforming a polymer template comprised of periodic fringes, and then refilling it with a blue phase liquid crystal. Compared with conventional holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal gratings, our grating can remarkably reduce its switching voltage from 200 V to 43 V while maintaining a sub-millisecond response time. The holographic polymer templated blue phase liquid crystal (HPTBPLC) grating is free from electrode patterning, thus leading to a lower cost and more flexible applications. 展开更多

The holographic storage properties of Fe (0.03% (mass fraction) Fe2O3):LiNbO3 doped with Sc at different levels (0, 1%, 2%, 3%) were investigated. The Sc threshold concentration in Fe:LiNbO3 was implied to be about 3% (mole fraction) because O-H vibration absorption peak of Sc (3%):Fe:LiNbO3 was at 3508 cm^-1, compared with 3484 cm^-1 of crystals with lower Sc doping level. Sc(3%):Fe:LiNbO3 exhibited higher optical damage resistance ability. The threshold intensity (wavelength 488 nm) of Sc (3%):Fe:LiNbO3 was 2.2 ×10^2 W ·cm^-2, two orders of masnitude higher than that of Fe:LiNbO3. Holographic storage properties of the crystals were determined in an extraordinary polarized laser of wavelength 632.8 nm by a two-wave coupling method. It was found that in terms of holographic storage properties, the optimal doping concentration of Sc was 2% (mole fraction) among this crystal series. 展开更多

In this paper, we experimentally investigate the dark diffusional enhancement of the optimized multiplexed grating in the phenanthrenequinone doped poly (methyl methacrylate) (PQ-PMMA) photopolymer. The possibility of improving the holographic characteristics of the material through the dark enhancement is demonstrated. The optimal preillumination exposure and the optimal time interval between exposures are extracted to obtain the optimized diffraction efficiency, and their values are 3.4×103 mJ/cm2 and 2 min, respectively. The dark enhancement of the multiplexed grating is presented as an effective method to improve the response region and the dynamic range and to prevent saturation of the material. The dependence of the phenanthrenequinone concentration on the increment of the refractive index modulation is quantitatively studied, which provides a significant basis for improving the homogeneity in the multiplexed gratings using a quantitative strategy. Finally, a simple experimental procedure using the dark enhancement is introduced to improve the homogeneity of the diffraction efficiency and to avoid the complex schedule exposure. 展开更多

Three-dimensional holographic vector of atomic interaction field(3D-HoVAIF) is used to describe the chemical structures of polychlorinated naphthalenes(PCNs).After variable screening by stepwise multiple regression(SMR) technique,the liner relationships between gas-chromatographic relative retention time(RRT),298 K supercooled liquid pressures(logPL),n-octanol/air partition coefficient(logKOA),n-octanol/water partition coefficient(logKOW),aqueous solubilities(logSW),relative in vitro potency values(-logEROD) of PCNs and 3D-HoVAIF descriptors have been established by partial least-square(PLS) regression.The result shows that the 3D-HoVAIF descriptors can be well used to express the quantitative structure-property(activity) relationships of PCNs.Predictive capability of the models has also been demonstrated by leave-one-out cross-validation.Moreover,the predicted values have been presented for those PCNs which are lack of experimentally physico-chemical properties and biological activity by the optimum models. 展开更多
