First, Al and Fe were extracted from fly ash by NH4HSO4 roasting and deionized water leaching. Then, the Al and Fe in the leached liquid were precipitated by adding NH4HCO3 solution. After the mixed precipitations of Al(OH)3 and Fe(OH)3 were leached by NaOH solution, the NaAl(OH)4 solution was decomposed by carbonation. Finally, the pure Al(OH)3 was calcined to α-Al2O3. The optimal conditions of the whole technology were determined by experiments. The quality ofa-Al2O3 product is up to the technical indicator of YS/T 274-1998 standard.展开更多

The thermodynamic results were verified experi-mentally. Thermodynamic calculations show that mullite present in the fly ash can react with NH4HSO4 in the 298-723 K range. Process op-timization reveals that the extraction rate can reach up to 90.95% when the fly ash reacts with NH4HSO4 at a 1:8 mole ratio of Al2O3/NH4HSO4 at 673 K for 60 min. Kinetic analysis indicates that the NH4HSO4 roasting process follows the shrinking unreacted core model, and inner diffusion through the product layer is the rate-controlling step. The activation energy is calculated to be 16.627 kJ/mol;and the kinetic equation can be expressed as 1-(2/3)α-(1-α)2/3=0.0374t exp[-16627/(RT)], whereαis the extraction rate and t is the roasting temperature.展开更多

It is reported that Form Ⅰ can spontaneously transform into Form Ⅱ at high temperature and humidity. In this study, high purity Form I of clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate with good thermodynamic stability was prepared by a centrifugation-assisted recrystallization technology. The resultant product was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that the crystallinity and crystallite size of the Form Ⅰ prepared by the centrifugation-assisted recrystallization method were larger than those obtained by conventional anti-solvent recrystallization methods. Long-term thermostability testing demonstrated that the improved product can keep stable crystal structure even at high temperature and humidity.展开更多

The hydrogen bonding between the hydroxyl of phenol and the C2-position hydrogen of imidazole moiety in hydrophilic imidazole-based ionic liquid has important influence on the selectivity for 4,4′-bisphenol F, and under the conditions of the molar ratio of phenol/[C4mim][HSO4] 1:1, reaction temperature65 °C and the theoretical molar ratio of phenol/formaldehyde 2:1, the selectivity for 4,4′-bisphenol F reached69.1%. Compared with the high phenol/formaldehyde ratio reported in literatures, the low molar ratio of phenol/formaldehyde and the low reaction temperature can greatly reduce energy consumption, and has important significance for industrial application.展开更多

Operation of the bioreactor was divided into four stages, in which the inlet concentration of toluene and H2S were gradually increased. In Stage I, toluene was the sole target compound with an average removal efficiency of 86.49%. After adding HeS in Stage II, removal efficiency of toluene decreased immediately and recovered gradually to 85.96%. When the inlet concentration of toluene and HzS was increased in Stage III and Stage IV, respectively, the average removal efficiency for toluene increased continuously from 86.31% to 87.24%. The elimination capacities of toluene increased with increasing inlet loading rates of toluene and H2S. Results of the PCR-DGGE analysis showed a turnover growth and decline of the microbial populations in the bioreactor. In Stage I, the dominant toluene-degrading bacteria mainly contained Pseudomonas sp. strain PS + and Hydrogenophaga sp. In Stage IV, however, the dominant toluene-degrading bacteria was aciduric bacteria (Clostridium populeti). The dominant microbial community in the bioreactor enhanced the elimination capacity of toluene, and adding H2S changed the environment of microbial growth, thus resulted in an evolution of dominant microorganisms. Analyses of microbial community and their activities provides valuable information to efficiently enhance simultaneous removal of toluene and H2S in the bioreactor.展开更多

Hydrogen sulfide(H2S) is produced during the biological sulfate reduction process. The production of toxic H2S is one of the concerns because it may hinder the landscape remediation efficiency of oil sands tailing ponds. In present study, the in situ activity and the community structure of SRB in MFT and gypsum amended MFT in two settling columns were investigated. Combined techniques of H2S microsensor and dissimilatory sulfite reductase β-subunit(dsrB) genes-based real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR) were applied to detect the in situ H2S and the abundance of SRB. A higher diversity of SRB and more H2S were observed in gypsum amended MFT than that in MFT, indicating a higher sulfate reduction activity in gypsum amended MFT; in addition, the activity of SRB varied as depth in both MFT and gypsum amended MFT: the deeper the more H2S produced. Long-term plans for tailings management can be assessed more wisely with the information provided in this study.展开更多
