Research on the Implementation Path of Ideological and Political Education in the“Horticultural Plant Production Technology”Course under the Rural Revitalization Strategy

The horticultural industry plays an important role in the rural revitalization strategy.As the core course of horticultural technology,“Horticultural Plant Production Technology”shoulders an important mission in serving the rural revitalization strategy and cultivating a group of rural revitalization talents who truly love agriculture,know agricultural techniques,and understand agriculture.Under the dimension of ideological and political education in the curriculum,based on the strategy of rural revitalization,the implementation path of ideological and political education in the curriculum is expanded and improved from the construction of education models,curriculum team building,excavation of ideological and political elements,and construction of evaluation systems,in order to improve the level of ideological and political education in horticultural plant production technology courses and provide certain reference and guidance for the ideological and political construction of similar agricultural vocational education courses.

An Analysis of the Demand for Education for the Elderly in Rural Areas:A Caso Study of the Suburbs of Hangzhou

The education for the elderly is the last link of life-long education and an important part of spiritually providing for the aged.In the context of rural revitalization,this paper chooses the elderly in the suburbs of Hangzhou,an eastern developed city,as the survey object.Through the methods of questionnaire survey and quantitative statistics,this paper analyzes and introduces the basic situation of rural education for the elderly,the demand for participating in education for the elderly,the learning evaluation of education for the elderly and the problems existing in the education for the elderly in rural areas.On this basis,some brief conclusions and discussions are put forward.

Innovation of Adult Education Supply in Rural Areas from the Aspect of Rural Public Goods——A Case Study of Quzhou City,Zhejiang Province,China

Status of rural adult education in Quzhou City is analyzed from three aspects of supply main body,supply method and fund source.Problems in the rural adult education in Quzhou City are pointed out.Firstly,the top-down supply decision model can not fully meet the needs of farmers.Secondly,education resources can not be best allocated.Thirdly,both rural labor force market and employment service are not perfect.In order to promote the development of rural adult education,the education supply mode of rural adults should be established,which is "supplied by the government,coordinated by the government,participated by the society,operated according to market mechanisms".This needs to set up the leading position of government,to establish the pattern of diversified main bodies of adult education supply in rural areas,and to construct the market operation mechanism driven by interests.

Integration Path of Ideological and Political Education and Labor Education in Landscape Design Courses under the Background of Rural Revitalization

As an important part of rural construction, landscape design is the basic content of rural revitalization. Ideological and political education and labor education are both important contents of the education system in the new era, which are of great significance to the cultivation of outstanding college students. The integration of ideological and political education and labor education(hereafter referred to as “ideological, political and labor education”) in landscape design courses has not yet formed a complete education path. Based on the ideological, political and labor education research of landscape design courses under the background of rural revitalization, the study aims to cultivate first-class talent team for rural construction to help rural revitalization by improving the teaching quality of landscape design courses, and enhancing students' comprehensive quality.

Impact of Village-based Health Education of Tobacco Control on the Current Smoking Rate in Chinese Rural Areas

The number of smokers in Chinese rural areas is more than 200 million, which is twice that in cities. It is very significant to carry out tobacco control interventions in rural areas. We performed this community intervention study to evaluate the efficacy of village-based health education of tobacco control on the male current smoking rate in rural areas. The population of this study was the males above 15 years old from 6 villages in rural areas. The villages were randomly assigned to intervention group or control group（3 villages in each group）. Self-designed smoking questionnaire was applied. The intervention group received the village-based health education of tobacco control for one year. The primary outcome measurement was the male current smoking rate. In the baseline investigation, completed surveys were returned by 814 male residents from the control group and 831 male residents from the intervention group. The male current smoking rate in the control group and the intervention group was 61.2% and 58.5%, respectively, before intervention. There was no significant difference between these two groups（P〉0.05）. After one-year intervention, the current smoking rate in the intervention group（51.2%） was significantly lower than that in the control group（62.8%）（P〈0.001）. Our study suggested that the village-based health education of tobacco control was effective in lowering the male current smoking rate in rural areas, which could be a suitable and feasible way for tobacco control in the Chinese rural areas.

Thinkings on Narrowing the Music Education Gap Between Urban and Rural Areas--On the Case of the Urban and Rural Music Education in Gaocheng, Hebei Province

Nowadays, the development of quality education has always been attached great importance in China, of which the music education has been an important part. However, serious polarization of the urban and rural basic music education leads to all sorts of differences, thus seriously affecting the overall improvement of quality of all people. To find out the problems and the reasons of the backward in rural basic music education, this paper makes an analysis of the differences between urban and rural basic education development through a survey and a study of basic situation in music education of urban and rural elementary school in Gaocheng, Hebei province, and then puts forward thinkings and suggestions about narrowing the urban-rural music education gap on the basis of the analysis of internal and extemal problems.

A Research on the Path of Ideological and Political Education in Agricultural Colleges and Universities to Promote Rural Revitalization

Agricultural colleges and universities shoulder the arduous task of cultivating talents for rural revitalization,in which ideological and political education is the key link in talent training.Ideological and political education helps cultivate reliable talents for rural revitalization,stimulate the endogenous power of rural revitalization,and realize direct and indirect promotion of rural revitalization.However,there are still many issues in ideological and political education in terms of educational concept,educational content,and educational model.Hence,it is necessary to strengthen the role of ideological and political education in promoting rural revitalization by clarifying the goals and concepts of ideological and political education in agricultural colleges and universities,strengthening the cultivation of students’awareness of rural revitalization services,and innovating ideological and political education models.

A Life-skills-based HIV/AIDS Prevention Education for Rural Students of Primary Schools in China:What Changed? What Have We Learned?

Objective To evaluate a four-hour life-skills-based HIV/AIDS prevention curriculum among 5th grade students in rural primary schools of Hainan province.Methods The study included two stages.Stage one （September 2006-May 2007） was a pre-post-quasi experimental design;a total of 2 413 students aged 9 to 14 years from fifth grade classes of nine primary schools completed a baseline survey （1 720 students were in the intervention group,693 in the control group）,and over 98% of them took part in a short survey.The experimental curriculum was provided to the intervention group.At stage two （September 2008）,a cross-sectional questionnaire was administered to 6 923 students in 7th grade classes of eight middle schools in the same study sites.There were 1 437 students in the intervention group when the curriculum was conducted.Results Students tended to score higher in areas of HIV/AIDS related knowledge and attitudes,if they were younger than average,lived in the county seat,had access to the internet,and their parents had completed higher levels of education.Path analysis showed that,after controlling for characteristics such as family and community factors,the total effects of curriculum on knowledge in the short-term model increased remarkably compared with the baseline,and maintained major contributions to knowledge in the mid-term model.The positive effect of knowledge on attitudes was significantly improved in the short-term model as well.Conclusion A life-skills based curriculum can improve HIV/AIDS related knowledge and self-perceived level of life-skills among primary school students in rural areas in a short time,and these positive effects can still be observed at least 2 years post participation in the curriculum.

E-commerce development in rural and remote areas of BRICS countries

E-commerce plays an essential role in modern trade today.It is expected that e-commerce volume amounted to 29 trillion USD in the world in 2017,and would grow with the spread of the Internet and information and communication technologies(ICTs).Brazil,Russia,India,China and South Africa(BRICS),together with many others,consider e-commerce a means to facilitate rapid,inclusive and sustainable economic growth,improving the living standards and alleviating poverty.This article examines areas for potential cooperation by BRICS countries in e-commerce development across rural and remote areas to fight poverty.It analyses the current state of e-commerce development in rural and remote areas in each of the BRICS countries,including cases of public and private initiatives to support it.The article also defines the opportunities which e-commerce brings to people living in rural and remote areas.Moreover,it evaluates the existing challenges and risks.The article concludes that despite the rapid e-commerce development in BRICS countries,and significant opportunities created,there are still issues of disproportionate e-commerce in varied regions and the lack of BRICS cooperation in this sphere.Based on a comparative and normative in-depth,systematic analysis,the article develops a set of recommendations for deepening BRICS countries'cooperation in the following areas:infrastructure in rural and remote regions;education;consumer protection;online dispute resolution;coordinated policy in the international scene,including representation of BRICS countries in international indexes,such as the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD)Digital Services Trade Restrictiveness Index(STRI).

Farmers'Ideological and Political Education under the Background of Rural Revitalization Strategy

Agricultural Higher Education for Sustainable Rural Development in Turkey

Agriculture in Turkey has been playing a significant role in Turkish economy and agricultural sectors are the most important provider of employment. Additionally, agriculture is major income source for farmers in rural areas and education level positively effects their income level and productivity. Agricultural faculties, institutions and agricultural extension services are mainly responsible for farmers＇ education in Turkey. The mission of agricultural education is to provide education for young people to prepare them for life and also work for rural community. Also, the agricultural education is responsible for the development of practical and theoretical knowledge of people in rural areas with disseminating information and new technologies. Basic field studies on the national qualifications framework for higher education of Turkey has been determined by a working group of deans formed by the CoHE under the Bologna process. Sixty programs on agriculture, forestry and fishery were identified at the faculties. A small working group formed among the deans of the agricultural faculties founded ZIDEK accreditation society to accredited programs at the agricultural faculties. Also a report was prepared by another working group to recommend worldwide programs to the agricultural faculties in Turkey. Mass media plays an important role for disseminating the agricultural innovations to rural areas. In this respect, the primary goal of Turkey is the improvement of welfare of farmers in order to sustain rural development. For this aim, handicraft training centers to diversify the rural economy, agricultural publication services of MoFAL distribute publications in order to disseminate information and new technologies, Widespread Education Project for Farmers （YAYCEP） has been started and within the scope of the project producers who live in rural areas, education and extension services and projects for woman farmers and other extension studies have been carried out under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock in collaboration with 26 agricultural faculties in Turkey.

Women’s Social Roles and Peace Building in Al-Abassiya Locality:2012-2024

This research focused on the social roles of women in Al-Abassiya locality,South Kordofan State,examining the obstacles they face and the impact on their participation in peace building.Using qualitative methods,data were collected through various means,revealing that conflicts have significantly affected women’s lives,particularly in rural areas.Women play key roles in family,education,health services,and humanitarian aid,but their involvement in conflict resolution and peace building activities is limited.Obstacles include cognitive,economic,social,and institutional barriers.Recommendations include providing education and training programs,strengthening economic status,ensuring women’s representation in decision-making bodies,advocating for legal reforms promoting gender equality,improving access to information technologies,educating communities on women’s involvement in peace building,and providing support services for women affected by conflicts.

农村中老年高血压病人受教育程度在健康相关生命质量与卫生服务利用间的调节作用

目的:了解农村中老年高血压病人健康相关生命质量与卫生服务利用的关系,探索受教育程度的调节作用。方法:选取2018年中国健康与养老追踪调查(CHARLS)数据库中的1391例农村中老年高血压病人作为研究对象,提取数据库中农村中老年高血压病人基本信息、健康状况与功能信息,考察其卫生服务利用状况,根据数据库信息及欧洲五维健康量表(EQ-5D)评分结果评价其健康相关生命质量。分析健康相关生命质量对卫生服务利用的影响,探索受教育程度在二者间的调节作用,采用边际效应图对调节作用进行可视化展现。结果:1391例农村中老年高血压病人中,有457例病人利用了卫生服务,卫生服务利用率为32.85%。农村中老年高血压病人EQ-5D的5个维度存在困难者占比分别为行动能力46.59%、自我照顾能力12.94%、日常活动能力19.34%、疼痛或不适68.51%、焦虑或抑郁38.82%,病人健康效用值为(0.952±0.085)。多因素分析结果显示,健康效用值是农村中老年高血压病人门诊服务利用和住院服务利用的影响因素。校正混杂因素后的结果表明,受教育程度较高对健康相关生命质量与卫生服务利用关系中的调节作用较强。边际效应图显示,受教育程度高的农村中老年高血压病人卫生服务利用斜率较受教育程度低者小。结论:健康相关生命质量是影响农村中老年高血压病人卫生服务利用的重要因素,受教育程度在健康相关生命质量和卫生服务利用关系中具有调节作用。
