A novel reference-driven method for MR image reconstruction based on wavelet sparsity and nonlocal total variation(NLTV)is proposed.Utilizing the sparsity of the difference image between the target image and the mot...A novel reference-driven method for MR image reconstruction based on wavelet sparsity and nonlocal total variation(NLTV)is proposed.Utilizing the sparsity of the difference image between the target image and the motion-compensated reference image in wavelet transform domain,the proposed method does not need to estimate contrast changes and therefore increases computational efficiency.Additionally,NLTV regularization is applied to preserve image details and features without blocky effects.An efficient alternating iterative algorithm is used to estimate motion effects and reconstruct the difference image.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can significantly reduce sampling rate or improve the quality of the reconstructed image alternatively.展开更多
The Computer Tomography(CT)method is used for remote sensing the Earth’s plasmasphere.One challenge for image reconstruction is insufficient projection data,mainly caused by limited projection angles.In this study,we...The Computer Tomography(CT)method is used for remote sensing the Earth’s plasmasphere.One challenge for image reconstruction is insufficient projection data,mainly caused by limited projection angles.In this study,we apply the Algebraic Reconstruction Technique(ART)and the minimization of the image Total Variation(TV)method,with a combination of priori knowledge of north–south symmetry,to reconstruct plasmaspheric He+density from simulated EUV images.The results demonstrate that incorporating priori assumption can be particularly useful when the projection data is insufficient.This method has good performance even with a projection angle of less than 150 degrees.The method of our study is expected to have applications in the Soft X-ray Imager(SXI)reconstruction for the Solar wind–Magnetosphere–Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission.展开更多
This paper describes the deep rockburst simulation system to reproduce the granite instantaneous rockburst process.Based on the PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry)technique,quantitative analysis of a rockburst,the images ...This paper describes the deep rockburst simulation system to reproduce the granite instantaneous rockburst process.Based on the PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry)technique,quantitative analysis of a rockburst,the images of tracer particle,displacement and strain fields can be obtained,and the debris trajectory described.According to the observation of on-site tests,the dynamic rockburst is actually a gas–solid high speed flow process,which is caused by the interaction of rock fragments and surrounding air.With the help of analysis on high speed video and PIV images,the granite rockburst failure process is composed of six stages of platey fragment spalling and debris ejection.Meanwhile,the elastic energy for these six stages has been calculated to study the energy variation.The results indicate that the rockburst process can be summarized as:an initiating stage,intensive developing stage and gradual decay stage.This research will be helpful for our further understanding of the rockburst mechanism.展开更多

First, an image is converted from the RGB color space to the HSV col...A new image enhancement algorithm based on Retinex theory is proposed to solve the problem of bad visual effect of an image in low-light conditions. First, an image is converted from the RGB color space to the HSV color space to get the V channel. Next, the illuminations are respectively estimated by the guided filtering and the variational framework on the V channel and combined into a new illumination by average gradient. The new reflectance is calculated using V channel and the new illumination. Then a new V channel obtained by multiplying the new illumination and reflectance is processed with contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization(CLAHE). Finally, the new image in HSV space is converted back to RGB space to obtain the enhanced image. Experimental results show that the proposed method has better subjective quality and objective quality than existing methods.展开更多

Our method uses a linearized technique and the proximal function such that the closed form solutions of the subproblem can be easily derived.In the subproblem, we apply a variable stepsize, that is like Barzilai-Borwein stepsize, to accelerate the algorithm. Numerical results with parallel magnetic resonance imaging demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.展开更多
