Improving the Reading Skills of ALS Learners Through Project RICE(Reading Intervention and Comprehension Enhancement)

One of the major problems in the education sector is the reading skills of learners.Students enrolled in the Alternative Learning System(ALS)also experienced this scenario due to several circumstances.This study focused on the improvement of reading comprehension skills of ALS learners by means of project RICE(Reading Intervention and Comprehension Enhancement)as well as the issues and challenges.A quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study which was participated by 54 learners,composed of 27 learners under the experimental group and 27 under the control group.The result revealed that the learners in the experimental group changed from frustration level to instructional level after the implementation of project RICE while the learners in the control group changed from instructional level to inde-pendent level,thereby signifying a significant difference and the effectiveness of the project.Additionally,issues with time and resources were often encountered by the learners.

Cultivation of Reading,Writing,and Critical Thinking in the Teaching of Selected Readings in American Literature

Selected Readings in American Literature is a required course for the third year of English major,and it is also a compulsory course for the Bachelor Degree of English Language and Literature at School of Foreign Languages,Leshan Normal University.The course uses the combination of English literary reading and course paper writing to develop students’English reading and writing skills,while focusing on the cultivating critical thinking skills of English majors.

人教版SEFC(2003) Integrating skills部分教学问题的调查研究

通过采用问卷调查和跟踪访谈的研究方法，对人教版（PEP）SEFC（2003）教材实施以来Integrating skills部分教学问题及其原因进行深入调查发现：高中英语教师对Integrating skills部分读写关系理解存在偏差，读写关系处理失当，读写技能综合教学设计能力欠缺。其主要原因是教师对Integrating skills部分教材的编写意图把握不准；对阅读教学类型选择有误；对读写技能综合教学类型未加区分。

中文读写能力及其相关因素研究

使用 5点量表 ,本研究在北京地区调查了 2 187名小学一、三、五年级儿童的中文读写能力及其相关因素。因素分析抽取了 8个因素 :书面语意义理解、基本知觉能力、书写技能、家庭阅读背景、动作技能、口语能力、朗读和听写、书面表达。对上述因素进行多元逐步回归分析发现 ,各种读写能力内部相关显著。基本知觉能力、口语能力、家庭阅读背景和动作技能分别对中文读写能力的不同成分有显著解释作用。这个结果对于理解阅读能力发展及其与家庭阅读背景、口语、基本知觉 -动作能力之间的关系 ,以及阅读障碍的内在机制具有重要的理论意义。

对高中英语读写结合教学模式的思考

近年来许多高中英语观摩课和教研活动都出现了读写结合的课型，旨在促进英语写作教学。笔者以南京市一次教研活动为例，将两节读写课教学设计中的步骤与Izumi关于二语习得过程中输出作用的理论相互对应。并结合文秋芳提出的输出驱动假设加以分析，探讨如何有效地实施读写结合教学模式，以读促写。经过案例研究，笔者认为读写结合教学模式中教师对阅读文本的处理方式应该以写作任务的需求为依据，读写结合课堂应该营造一种输出氛围，使学生在理解文本的过程中不断进行有意义的输出。

汉字书写系统改进的五点建议

汉字作为国际通行的汉语书写系统,历经几千年的发展改良,影响越来越大,但仍有不尽人意之处,需要进行改进。建议现行汉字书写系统的改进从以下五个方面去进行:扩大专名号的使用范围;译名第一次出现时应加外文原文以示区别;专名出现在两行首尾处时加双斜线“//”以示连接;一些容易读错的字应加拼音以标注读音;在语流停顿处加上小圆点以区别歧义。

人教版NSEFC读写技能整合类型划分及教学建议

基于《普通高中英语课程标准（实验）》共享知识理论以及迁移理论关于读写技能的相关论述，我们可以从课堂教学角度，把高中英语读写技能整合课型划分为阅读仿写和阅读创写两种类型。阅读仿写的教学目标直接指向写作能力培养，阅读创写的教学目标可以指向写作，通过写作解决阅读材料提出的问题，也可以指向阅读和写作。划分这两种读写技能整合类型有利于提高教学活动设计的针对性，更好地发展学生的综合语言运用能力。

国内外英语读写技能综合教学与研究述评

对解决作文教学现实性问题的思索

本文针对作文教学中存在的现实性问题,提出了“构建开放的、活泼的、动态的学生全程自主作文训练体式”、“进行听说读写一体化训练”、“凸出思维训练”、“关注发展等级”、“把评改权还给学生”等解决方案,对提高作文教学效率有一定的参考价值。
