The application of additive manufacturing technology to the charge molding of energetic materials will subvert the traditional manufacturing concept of energetic materials, realize the advanced charge design concept, shorten the research and development time of weapons and equipment, and improve the comprehensive performance of weapons and equipment, which is of great significance for the rapid development of high-tech weapons and equipment. This paper analyzes the research progress of additive manufacturing technology in the field of energetic materials at home and abroad and puts forward some suggestions for future research of this technology. . 展开更多

Since the global financial crisis,global value chain(GVC)have been contracting amid the trend toward economic de-globalization.With GVC participation rate in mind as the core indicator of economic de-globalization,in this paper we create a multi-country general equilibrium model to characterize the mechanism by which manufacturing localization affects GVC participation rate.Our theoretical derivation shows that changes in the local manufacturing status of final products in various countries directly influence the GVC participation rate of those countries.When the local proportion of a country’s final products reaches a certain level,rising local proportion of intermediate inputs,economic growth below the world average level,and technology progress all cause the country’s GVC participation rate to decline,giving rise to de-globalization at the manufacturing and trade levels.We further provide a comprehensive interpretation based on an empirical test of the deep-seated causes of economic de-globalization in relation to such economic phenomena as increasing trade concentration,the“technology backlash”effect of the new industrial revolution,and economic growth driven by the combined forces of trade protectionism and quantitative easing. 展开更多

Surgical meshes have been employed in the management of a variety of pathological conditions including hernia,pelvic floor dysfunctions,periodontal guided bone regeneration,wound healing and more recently for breast plastic surgery after mastectomy.These common pathologies affect a wide portion of the worldwide population;therefore,an effective and enhanced treatment is crucial to ameliorate patients’living conditions both from medical and aesthetic points of view.At present,non-absorbable synthetic polymers are the most widely used class of biomaterials for the manufacturing of mesh implants for hernia,pelvic floor dysfunctions and guided bone regeneration,with polypropylene and poly tetrafluoroethylene being the most common.Biological prostheses,such as surgical grafts,have been employed mainly for breast plastic surgery and wound healing applications.Despite the advantages of mesh implants to the treatment of these conditions,there are still many drawbacks,mainly related to the arising of a huge number of post-operative complications,among which infections are the most common.Developing a mesh that could appropriately integrate with the native tissue,promote its healing and constructive remodelling,is the key aim of ongoing research in the area of surgical mesh implants.To this end,the adoption of new biomaterials including absorbable and natural polymers,the use of drugs and advanced manufacturing technologies,such as 3D printing and electrospinning,are under investigation to address the previously mentioned challenges and improve the outcomes of future clinical practice.The aim of this work is to review the key advantages and disadvantages related to the use of surgical meshes,the main issues characterizing each clinical procedure and the future directions in terms of both novel manufacturing technologies and latest regulatory considerations. 展开更多

This study applies a stochastic frontier production approach to decompose the sources of total productivity (TFP) growth into technical progress and changes in technical efficiency of 8057 firms in Vietnamese manufacturing industries during 2003-2007. Using both total manufacturing industry and sub-manufacturing industrial regressions, the analysis focuses on the trend of technological progress (TP) and technical efficiency change (TEC), and the role of productivity change in economic growth. According to the estimated results, the annual technical progress for the manufacturing industry and sub-manufacturing industries are calculated directly from the estimated parameters of the translog stochastic frontier production function by taking a partial derivative of output with respect to time t. The average technical changes in manufacturing industry and sub-manufacturing industries are positive, with an average technical change about 5.2%, 5.8%, 5.4%, 11.8%, 4.6%, 4.1%, 7.3%, 4.8%, 4.8% and 4.8% for total sample, food products & beverages, textile & wearing apparel, footwear, paper & products, industrial chemicals, rubber & plastic products, non- metallic mineral, basic & fabricated metal and other sub-industries, respectively. Total TFP in the manufacturing sector has grown at the annual rate of 0.052, although the rate of growth decreased continuously during the sample period. For the sub-industry estimates during the sample period, TFP grew fastest in the footwear sub-industry, with annual average growth rate of 11.8%, followed by the rubber & plastic products with a rate of 7.3%, and the food products & beverages with a rate of 5.8% per annum. 展开更多

Recent years have seen a significant increase in interest in green manufacturing as a key driver of global carbon-neutral efforts and sustainable development.To find the research hotspots of green manufacturing and reveal future research trends,this study reviewed and analyzed research articles from the Web of Science database on green manufacturing from1991 to 2022 using a bibliometric method.The findings indicate a significant rise in the number of articles related to green manufacturing since the 2010s.Moreover,there has been an increase in the involvement of scholars from developing countries such as China and India in this field.Based on the literature review and bibliometric cluster analysis on green manufacturing,we believed that future research may continue following the lines of intelligent technology integration,adoption of frontier engineering techniques,and industry development in line with carbon reduction targets.A framework for future green manufacturing development is proposed,with a focus on Chinese policies.The framework could provide policy implications for developing countries looking to pursue opportunities for development in green manufacturing. 展开更多

Advanced manufacturing technology(AMT)is pivotal for firms to gain manufacturing performance and com- petitive advantage.Job characteristics,as a kind of important factors affecting the implementation effects of AMT ,have become the focus in the field of academy.Based on a literature review,this study refines the implementation effects of AMT into opera- tional performance,satisfaction and competitive performance,and reclassifies the job characteristics of AMT into job autonomy, job responsibility,job complexity and job significance.With a large sample of 307 equipment-manufacturing firms selected from the 2005 China International Equipment and Manufacturing Exposition,linear structural equation analysis(LIEREL)is per- formed to examine the relationships between job characteristics and the implementation effects of AMT.The results show that job re- sponsibility and job significance have positive effects on satisfaction;satisfaction is positively correlated with operational perfor- mance;operational performance positively affects competitive performance.The findings provide the guide for firms to improve satisfaction,achieve higher operational performance and further gain higher competitive by reasonable job redesign. 展开更多

The concept of machine vision based manufacturing technology is proposed first,and the key algorithms used in two-dimensional and three-dimensional machining are discussed in detail.Machining information can be derived from the binary images and gray picture after processing and transforming the picture.Contour and the parallel cutting method about two-dimen- sional machining are proposed.Polygon approximating algorithm is used to cutting the profile of the workpiece.Fill Scanning al- gorithm used to machining inner part of a pocket.The improved Shape From Shading method with adaptive pre-processing is adopted to reconstruct the three-dimensional model.Layer cutting method is adopted for three-dimensional machining.The tool path is then gotten from the model,and NC code is formed subsequently.The model can be machined conveniently by the lathe, milling machine or engraver.Some examples are given to demonstrate the results of lmageCAM system,which is developed by the author to implement the algorithms previously mentioned. 展开更多

By vermicularizing agent containing RE (REFeSi), austempered vermicular graphite cast iron (AVGCI) with RE can be produced with austempered treatment. The process of austenitization of vermicular graphite cast iron (VGCI) with RE and the transformation of AVGCI with RE with temperature increasing were studied by SEM with heating device. Properties of AVGCI with RE, such as tensile strength, elongation, impact toughness, hardness, thermal fatigue resistance, thermal expansive coefficient and weight increasing by oxidation were measured by electron universal testing machine with heating device. Experimental results indicate that AVGCI with RE possesses good comprehensive properties at room and elevated temperatures. 展开更多

Today the ASEAN Pharmaceutical manufacturing companies are still focusing on their local countries,with the exception of a fewlarge regionals who are already and increasingly looking and capable to export to the outside markets such as Europe.This means that the majority of companies producing medicinal products to higher regulatory standards have less international experience/exposure in handling the GMP requirements demanded by PIC/s[1].In addition most of their processes are manual with legacy practices,and mostly the data and controls are in paper with a very high amount of data made with pen and paper on numerous human reviews of documentation mainly to assess the data is complete but not for accuracy of the data at the time that action could be taken—data integrity on paper has been shownto be highly questionable. 展开更多
