Comparison of four techniques for estimating temporal change of seismic velocity with passive image interferometry 被引量:6

Passive image interferometry (PII) is becoming a powerful tool for detecting the temporal variations in the Earth's structure, which applies coda wave interferometry to the waveforrns from the cross-correlation of seismic ambient noise. There are four techniques for estimating temporal change of seismic velocity with PII: moving-window cross-correlation technique (MWCCT), moving-window cross-spectrum technique (MWCST), stretching technique (ST) and moving-window stretching technique (MWST). In this paper, we use the continuous seismic records from a typical station pair near the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake fault zone and generate three sets of waveforms by stacking cross-correlation function of ambient noise with different numbers of days, and then apply four techniques to processing the three sets of waveforms and compare their results. Our results indicate that the techniques based on moving-window (MWCCT, MWCST and MWST) are superior in detecting the change of seismic velocity, and the MWCST can give a better estimate of velocity change than the other moving-window techniques due to measurement error. We also investigate the clock errors and their influences on measuring velocity change. We find that when the clock errors are not very large, they have limited impact on the estimate of the velocity change with the moving-window techniques. 展开更多

Mining operation, especially underground coal mining, always has the remarkable risks of ground control. Passive seismic velocity tomography based on simultaneous iterative reconstructive technique (SIRT) inversion is used to deduce the stress redistribution around the longwall mining panel. The mining-induced microseismic events were recorded by mounting an array of receivers on the surface, above the active panel. After processing and filtering the seismic data, the three-dimensional tomography images of the p-wave velocity variations by SIRT passive seismic velocity tomography were provided. To display the velocity changes on coal seam level and subsequently to infer the stress redistribution, these three-dimensional tomograms into the coal seam level were sliced. In addition, the boundary element method (BEM) was used to simulate the stress redistribution. The results show that the inferred stresses from the passive seismic tomograms are conformed to numerical models and theoretical concept of the stress redistribution around the longwall panel. In velocity tomograms, the main zones of the stress redistribution around the panel, including front and side abutment pressures, and gob stress are obvious and also the movement of stress zones along the face advancement is evident. Moreover, the effect of the advance rate of the face on the stress redistribution is demonstrated in tomography images. The research result proves that the SIRT passive seismic velocity tomography has an ultimate potential for monitoring the changes of stress redistribution around the longwall mining panel continuously and subsequently to improve safety of mining operations. 展开更多

The Ordos basin is a stable craton whose late Paleozoic undergoes two sedimentary stages: from the middle- late Carboniferous offshore plain to the Permian continental river and lake delta. Sandstones in delta plain channels, delta-front river mouth bars and tidal channels are well developed. The sandstones are distributed on or between the genetic source rocks, forming good gas source conditions with widespread subtle lithologic gas pools of low porosity, low permeability, low pressure and low abundance. In recent years, a series of experiments has been done, aimed at overcoming difficulties in the exploration of lithologic gas pools. A set of exploration techniques, focusing on geological appraisal, seismic exploration, accurate logging evaluation and interpretation, well testing fracturing, has been developed to guide the exploration into the upper Paleozoic in the basin, leading to the discoveries of four large gas fields: Sulige, Yulin, Wushenqi and Mizhi. 展开更多

In order to effectively detect potential geology anomalous bodies in coal bearing formation,such as coal seam thickness variation,small faults,goafs and collapse columns,and provide scientific guidance for safe and efficient mining,the SUMMIT-II EX explosion-proof seismic slot wave instrument,produced by German DMT Company,was used to detect the underground channel wave with the help of transmission method,reflection method and transflective method.Region area detection experiment in mining face had been carried out thanks to the advantage of channel wave,such as its great dispersion,abundant geology information,strong anti-interference ability and long-distance detecting.The experimental results showed that:(1)Coal seam thickness variation in extremely unstable coal seam has been quantitatively interpreted with an accuracy of more than 80%generally;(2)The faults,goafs and collapse columns could be detected and predicted accurately;(3)Experimental detection of gas enrichment areas,stress concentration regions and water inrush risk zone has been collated;(4)A research system of disaster-causing geology anomalous body detection by in-seam seismic survey has been built,valuable and innovative achievements have been got.Series of innovation obtained for the first time in this study indicated that it was more effective to detect disaster-causing potential geology anomalies by in-seam seismic survey than by ground seismic survey.It had significant scientific value and application prospect under complex coal seam conditions. 展开更多

A retrievable sensor installation technique for acquiring high frequency signals

The use of in-seam waves for void detection in mines requires the capability of capturing high frequency signals over large distances. For instance, the Airy phase of Love waves which are used for void detection in coal mines ranges from several hundred to over one thousand Hertz and the expected travel distance of these signals is at least 90 m (equivalent to a detection distance of 45 m) for the technique to be considered practical. In order to obtain high quality and broadband signals, sensors are conventionally grouted at the bottom of boreholes so that the attenuation due to the fractured surface is minimized and the coupling effect is improved. However, to be economically feasible, the expensive and high sensitive sensors must be retrievable so that they can be used repeatedly at the same or other locations. Because of these concerns, a retrievable sensor installation technique was developed. This paper provides a detailed review of the technique as well as a brief discussion of its applications. The technique is simple and reliable for both installation and retrieval operations and can be used for boreholes oriented in any directions. The technique has been demonstrated in over 200 sensor installation/retrieval operations under various borebole conditions, including bituminous coal, anthracite coal, shale, sandstone and trona. With this technique, we were able to detect the high frequency signals required for our projects. For instance, the signals used at a trona mine for void detection have a typical frequency of 5 kHz with the travel distance of 150-200 m. The results of these operations have shown that sensors installed in the prescribed manner exhibit predictable, consistent, and repeatable performance. The technique also provides an economical and reliable means for many other field seismic monitoring applications where high quality and broadband signals are essential, such as microseismic monitoring and geotomography studies. 展开更多

海洋油气勘探逐渐进入深水深层勘探领域,地下地质构造复杂(横向变速剧烈)、目标油藏复杂(由以构造油气藏为主转向构造与地层岩性油气藏并重),同时还可能伴随海底地形及附近岩性的复杂变化,所有因素促使海洋油气地震勘探技术不断变革。... 海洋油气勘探逐渐进入深水深层勘探领域,地下地质构造复杂(横向变速剧烈)、目标油藏复杂(由以构造油气藏为主转向构造与地层岩性油气藏并重),同时还可能伴随海底地形及附近岩性的复杂变化,所有因素促使海洋油气地震勘探技术不断变革。提高海洋油气勘探效益的首要问题是发展尽可能满足高精度地震波成像需求的地震数据采集技术及对应的高精度地震波成像技术。当前,无论海上和陆上油气地震勘探,“两宽一高”地震数据采集技术和全波形反演(FWI)/最小二乘逆时偏移(LS_RTM)为代表的地震波成像技术是标志性的领先技术。海上油气地震勘探中,海底节点(OBN)地震数据采集是目前业界公认的、最有可能真正实现“两宽一高”地震数据采集的技术。与拖缆数据采集相比,OBN数据采集具有宽方位照明、数据信噪比高、无检端鬼波、存在实测的(至少一阶自由表面相关)下行波场、四分量观测等优点。尤其是宽方位照明和存在至少一阶自由表面下行波场的特点,使得OBN数据具备了对中深层复杂构造和近海底介质进行高精度成像的能力。着重讨论了高精度地震波成像对地震数据采集的要求,指出OBN数据采集在海洋油气勘探中的必要性;分析了OBN数据采集的地震波场的特点,据此提出OBN数据地震波成像处理的基本逻辑及相应的关键技术;认为海洋油气勘探中地震波成像处理的特殊问题主要由特征反射层引起,海水面、海底面和地下介质中若干强反射层构成了这些特征反射层,提出了模型驱动波动理论特征反射层相关多次波预测与压制的技术路线,并对比了几种代表性的多次波预测的基础理论;指出对应当前的线性化偏移成像算子叠前数据域与叠前成像域是等价的,据此以成像道集后处理为中心,给出期望成像道集的定义,将弱旁瓣、定量的反射系数作为保真高分辨地震波成像的目标,在两个域中尽可能完美实现地下同一反(绕/散)射点、不同炮检距反(绕/散)射子波的同相位叠加,尽可能好地实现保真高分辨带限反射系数的成像;提出最好把带限反射系数成像推进到宽带波阻抗成像的技术路线;结合OBN数据的特点,给出了OBN数据地震波成像处理的基本技术流程,指出各环节的关键方法技术。最后,针对OBN数据四分量观测的特点,指出是实际观测的多波地震波场中的波现象(主要是P_SV波)与地震波传播及模拟理论不匹配导致了当前多波成像结果达不到预期,建议重点研究实际观测的多波地震波场中的波现象与地震波传播及模拟理论不匹配的物理根源,而不是发展更高端的矢量波成像算法。期望本文的思想观点对OBN地震勘探在海洋油气勘探中的进一步应用产生积极的促进作用。 展开更多

2008年M_(W)7.9汶川地震早期余震频度衰减速率空间分布特征分析

深入认识余震频度衰减及其影响因素对理解余震触发机理和震后应急救援具有重要意义.然而,由于强震后余震数量庞大,波形相互叠加导致了目录中余震缺失,进而影响了余震频度衰减速率的估计.本研究采用模板匹配技术对2008年M_(W)7.9汶川地... 深入认识余震频度衰减及其影响因素对理解余震触发机理和震后应急救援具有重要意义.然而,由于强震后余震数量庞大,波形相互叠加导致了目录中余震缺失,进而影响了余震频度衰减速率的估计.本研究采用模板匹配技术对2008年M_(W)7.9汶川地震后约50天内连续数据进行扫描,检测余震数量约为模板地震数量的5倍,完备震级由M3.0降低到M2.3.根据余震沿映秀—北川断裂走向优势深度分布的变化,以映秀、汶川、茂县、北川、南坝为界,余震活动大致可分为6个区域.本研究利用最大似然法分别计算了各个区域的余震频度衰减速率,结果显示:以茂县、青川为界,余震频度衰减速率表现出映秀—北川断裂西南段较快、中间段居中、东北段较慢的特征.将余震频度衰减速率和余震空间分布、断裂类型、震后形变、同震形变等进行对比分析,本研究得到以下结论:1、余震频度衰减速率分区与断裂类型分区吻合.其中,映秀—北川断裂西南段余震频度较快衰减速率区域断裂以逆冲为主,中间段为经过各种震源机制类型交替出现的过渡带,映秀—北川断裂东北段余震频度较慢衰减速率区域断裂以右旋走滑为主;2、余震频度衰减速率西南段较快、东北段较慢的空间分布特征与震后形变特征相一致;3、余震频度衰减速率与同震形变相关性不强.结合本研究观测到的同震滑移量较大区域余震分布较少、部分区域余震数目和震后形变空间分布一致性等特征,我们推测汶川地震早期余震可能主要与震后余滑相关,余震频度衰减速率的空间分布差异主要与不同类型断裂震间滑移速率不同相关,震间滑移速率较快的区域余震频度衰减速率较快及震后形变较大. 展开更多

为解决装配式剪力墙连接材料成本高、安装就位困难以及现场灌浆施工质量难以保证等问题,提出一种新型竖向钢结构延性连接装配式混凝土剪力墙,将钢结构连接件与钢筋网形成整体,提升结构延性和耗能能力,采用高强螺栓进行上下两片剪力墙的... 为解决装配式剪力墙连接材料成本高、安装就位困难以及现场灌浆施工质量难以保证等问题,提出一种新型竖向钢结构延性连接装配式混凝土剪力墙,将钢结构连接件与钢筋网形成整体,提升结构延性和耗能能力,采用高强螺栓进行上下两片剪力墙的拼装对接,局部预留孔洞后浇混凝土实现强震后连接件的快速修复。利用拟静力方法研究了新型装配式混凝土剪力墙在水平往复加载作用下连接件的应力大小、混凝土损伤变化规律、结构滞回曲线和骨架曲线特性,并与同条件下的普通剪力墙进行了对比分析,研究发现:钢结构连接件可延缓钢筋发生屈服的时间,随着加载水平位移的增加,钢结构连接件上的应力分担增加,边缘构件钢筋应力分担比例降低;装配式剪力墙内置钢结构连接件,结构整体延性提高,在水平往复荷载作用下,结构滞回曲线呈饱满的“梭”型,刚度下降缓慢,吸收地震能量强,具有良好的塑性变形能力和耗能能力;在加载和卸载完成时,结构骨架曲线仍趋平缓,墙体具有较高的承载能力。 展开更多
