Impact of Safety-Maintenance Practices on the Overall Performance of an Industry

The study aims to evaluate how safety-maintenance practices affect the mechanical engineering industry’s overall performance in Ghana. The study used a descriptive survey design technique to ascertain the type of maintenance engineering that was practiced in Ghanaian mechanical engineering workshops at the time of the study. In the mechanical engineering workshops, respondents provided both qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of data collecting instruments, with the quantitative approach being more common. The study employed Kumasi, Tamale, and Accra’s mechanical engineering workshops as a case study. The number of mechanical engineering workshop enterprises that made up the sample size for the questionnaire administration was sixty (60), chosen at random from the AGI membership registry. Primary data was gathered using interview guides and questionnaires. To analyse the data, descriptive statistics were employed. According to the study’s findings, mechanical engineering companies combined different maintenance techniques in order to best fit their organisational culture and equipment. Preventive shut-down, with a mean score of 4.78 and RII = 0.98, placing first (1st) in the Likert rating order, is the most frequently used maintenance system by respondents. The maintenance procedures employed by mechanical engineering organisations were influenced not only by their equipment and organisational culture but also by other factors such as cost, personnel expertise and external partnerships.

Exploration of Detailed Planning Practice of Chemical Industrial Parks under the Background of Territorial Space Planning

With the gradual completion of the overall planning of city and county land space,the detailed planning will be prepared according to the requirements of transmitting and refining the upper planning.Industrial parks are one of the“main forces”of local economic development,and the preparation of their detailed planning will escort their development.The key points of the Control Indicators of Construction Land in Industrial Projectsissued in 2008 and 2023 were compared,and the new requirements for detailed planning under the background of territorial space and the contradictions between the detailed planning of industrial parks and the overall planning of the upper territorial space were sorted out based on the summary of the existing problems in the development of chemical parks.It provides some ideas for the practice of detailed planning of chemical industrial parks under the background of territorial space.

Practical Research on Green Complex with Industrial Heritage as the Core

In the context of ecological civilization construction in the new era,the development of highquality cities places more emphasis on resource integration and multi-party coordination.The exploration of the concept of green complex has proposed a new path for urban double repair and urban renewal.The green complex centered on industrial heritage has achieved the combination of industrial heritage activation and utilization with natural ecosystem restoration,which is of great significance for sustainable and healthy urban development.Based on the landscape design of the main exhibition area of the 11th Jiangsu Garden Expo,the application of green complex in industrial heritage protection is explored.By integrating industrial heritage relics,green activity spaces,urban public resources,and natural environment in the form of green complex,it promotes the coordinated development of various functions and creates a new type of green inclusive city.

An Exploratory Practice of Integration of Industry and Education in High-level Programming Language Course in the Background of New Engineering

This paper analyzes some problems of the current teaching situation in the course High-level Programming Language,such as the lagging content of the course compared with technology development,the emphasis on theory rather than on practice,the low enthusiasm of students for learning,and the weak practical ability of students.In response to the needs of enterprises for talents under the background of New Engineering,especially the cultivation of students’adaptability and practical abilities towards future industries to improve students’knowledge and problemsolving abilities to keep up with the modern technology,this paper proposes the ways and methods to reform and explore the teaching content and teaching methods by integrating industry and education,assisting teaching according to industrial demands,and lowering technology barriers of new technology.The practical effect is evaluated through a survey in class and the follow-up questionnaire after class,and the results show that the effect of the practice is effective.

Rationale and Pathway for New Industrialization in the Context of Chinese Modernization

The concepts of modernization and industrialization have different connotations that are specific to their historical backgrounds,and their theoretical innovation and development may benefit from China’s experiences.Industrialization is the cornerstone of modernization,and holds the key to its success.China’s experiences in blazing a new trail of industrialization are challenging the traditional Western theory of industrialization and deepening the connotations of Chinese modernization.New industrialization is a key entry point for steering China’s modernization drive and theoretical innovations.This paper offers an overview of the theory of Chinese modernization and its evolving trend along China’s socialist industrialization path,as well as the rationale and pathway for new industrialization in the context of Chinese modernization.As our findings suggest,the new industrialization concept has taken hold in every key aspect of Chinese modernization.When combined with the theory of Chinese modernization,the theoretical implications of new industrialization play a crucial role in propelling Chinese modernization forward along a new journey in the new era.

Factors Confronting the Present-Day Construction Practices in South-East, Nigeria: The Professionals’ View

The study evaluates the factors confronting the present-day construction practices in South-East Nigeria. Being a survey research, questionnaires containing information relating to factors/challenges affecting construction practices were randomly administered to selected construction practitioners in South-Eastern States of Nigeria. Accordingly, a total of 240 questionnaires were administered to the selected respondents while 160 copies were completed, returned and found useful. Thus, giving a response rate of 66.67%. Data collected were analysed and presented using percentages, mean scores, principal and factor analysis, z-test and tables. The study found that the core factors that constrain present-day construction in the study area are issues related to inadequate/dearth of technical and managerial expertise, corruption and poor project planning and control;which significantly affect operational effectiveness of the construction industry in the study area. Therefore, the study concluded by recommending that thorough capacity building through training or retraining programme which should centre on areas of the issues identified should be religiously pursued in the study area.

Higher vocational education is the main place for cultivating high skilled talents.Only teachers with rich skills can cultivate excellent skilled talents.In order to promote the reform of vocational education,the focus should be on building a team of high-quality professional teachers.In the Opinions on Comprehensively Improving the Teaching Quality of Higher Vocational Education that was issued by the Ministry of Education,it has been proposed that professional teachers should be encouraged to practice in enterprises,accumulate practical work experience,and improve practical teaching ability.The purpose of the vocational education community is to establish an enterprise practice base to meet the needs of the modem industry as well as effectively cultivate technical and skilled talents in line with enterprises.The industrial park industry is used as an example in this article to explore the operation mode of enterprise practice base in adapting to the development of the modem industry as well as to better serve the development of vocational teachers and the improvement of studentsJ professional ability.

依托新发展格局,提升体育竞赛表演业产业链韧性是产业链现代化建设和体育竞赛表演业高质量发展的重要议题。本文运用文献资料法、逻辑分析法,结合产业链韧性的内涵将体育竞赛表演业产业链韧性拆解为补链、疏链和强链能力,具体表现为产业链在面对外部压力或风险时的冲击抵抗能力、恢复重构能力和核心竞争能力,此“三力要素”与构建新发展格局存在高度耦合。在此基础上识别新发展格局下体育竞赛表演业产业链韧性提升的风险因素:断链风险,核心技术自主创新能力不足;堵链风险,竞赛表演市场供求关系失衡;弱链风险,复合型体育人才本土供给不足。据此提出实践方略:补链方面,以完善的数字基础设施构建体育竞赛表演产业生态体系;疏链方面,以供给侧结构性改革调和体育竞赛表演市场供求关系;强链方面,以多元化渠道提升体育竞赛表演业人才要素流通效率。
