The present paper examines the role of the mix of fiscal and monetary policy rules in determining inflation dynamics using fiscal and monetary policy reaction func.tions and Markov-switching vector autoregression methods based on quarterly data in the period 1992-2007. Our results show that fiseal and monetary policies in China can be adequately described using some simple rules, and that significant regime shifts took plaee around 1998. Fiscal policy tended to be active and countereyclical in the pre-1998 period, then switched to be passive and more eountercyclical, whereas monetary policy was characterized as passive and procyclical in the pre-1998 period, and switched to be active and countercyclical afterwards. The mix of fiscal and monetary policy rules can explain inflation dynamics better than the monetary policy rule alone. Therefore, price stability requires not only appropriate monetary policy but also appropriate fiseal policy. 展开更多

An Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE)approach with interface tracking is developed in this paper to simulate the supersonic parachute inflation.A two-way interaction between a nonlinear finite element method and a finite volume method is accomplished.In order to apply this interface tracking method to problems with instantaneous large deformation and self-contact,a new virtual structure contact method is proposed to leave room for the body-fitted mesh between the contact structural surfaces.In addition,the breakpoint due to the fluid mesh with negative volume is losslessly restarted by the conservative interpolation method.Based on this method,fluid and structural dynamic behaviors of a highly folded disk-gap-band parachute are obtained.Numerical results such as maximum Root Mean Square(RMS)drag,general canopy shape and the smallest canopy projected areas in the terminal descent state are in accordance with the wind tunnel test results.This analysis reveals the inflation law of the disk-gap-band parachute and provides a new numerical method for supersonic parachute design. 展开更多

Recently,Riess et al.[1]reported the new result of local measurement of the Hubble constant,H_0=(73.00±1.75)km s^(-1) Mpc^(-1),which is 3.3σhigher than the fit result of ocal measurement of the Hubble constant, H_0 = (73.00 ± 1.75) km s^(-1) Mpc^(-1), which is 3.3σ higher than the fit result of (66.93±0.62) km s^(-1) Mpc^(-1) derived by the Planck collaboration based on theΛCDM model withmν=0.06 e V using the latest Planck CMB data.The tension between the latest H0measurement and the Planck data has inspired numerous discussions.On one hand,it might be caused by some systematic uncertainties in the measurements.On the other hand,perhaps one has omitted some unknown physical factors in the cosmological model,which leads to some inconsistencies among different data sets.For example,replacing the cosmological constant with a dynamical dark energy[2]and considering the extra relativistic degrees of freedom(i.e.,an additional parameter Neff)[1,3,4]both can help relieve this tension to some extent.It was also shown in ref.[4]that the involvement of light sterile neutrinos in the cosmological model can simultaneously relieve almost all the tensions among the current astrophysical observations,which leads to a new cosmic concordance. 展开更多
