The present study aims to analyze the current state of mobile phone addiction and its impact on sleep quality within the population, while also exploring the influence of related factors on sleep quality. Ultimately, this research will provide a scientific foundation for targeted intervention measures and strategies. Methods: A total of 253 permanent residents in Nanjing were randomly selected as study subjects. The Mobile Phone Addiction Index (MPAI) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were used to evaluate the degree of smartphone addiction and sleep quality of the study subjects. Body mass index (BMI) was measured according to standardized procedures. Independent sample t-test, Chi-square test, rank sum test and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the correlation between mobile phone addiction and sleep quality, and P Results: 117 people (46.2%) were addicted to mobile phones. Chi-square test showed that the rate of mobile phone addiction in drinking group was significantly higher than that in non-drinking group (P P P P P P P P P P Conclusion: Mobile phone addiction may lead to shorter sleep duration and reduce sleep efficiency. The withdrawal of mobile phone addiction may have a negative impact on sleep quality. According to the characteristics of the population, appropriate comprehensive intervention measures should be taken to build an effective evaluation system, so as to reduce the impact of mobile phone addiction and withdrawal problems on sleep and improve sleep quality.展开更多

Aim: To determine the impact of...Background: Female Genital Mutilation is still practiced in Ebonyi State in Southeast Nigeria, despite the complications that follows it and government legislation against the practice. Aim: To determine the impact of Culture, Beliefs, attitude and Peer Group Influence on the persistence Female Genital Mutilation practice in the State especially in the rural areas. Materials and Methods: Qualitative study that used Focused Group Discussion and In-depth interviews for data collection. Those willing and given consent were recruited into the group discussion according to age, marital status, educational level and their location in the state. In-depth interviews were used with the Stake Holders, Opinion Leaders, Traditional Rulers and the Clergy. Result: A total of 454 participants were recruited from the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State but only 420 (92.5%) participated. The age ranges of participants were 25 to 35 years for single males and females while the married participants male and female were aged 35 to 70 years. One hundred single females (23.8%) and 94 single males (21.4%) participated while 97 (23.1%) married women and 95 (22.6%) married men participated. Out of the 26 health workers recruited only 22 (5.2%) participated. Four traditional rulers, 4 women leaders, 4 youth leaders and 2 clergy 12 (2.9%) in number had in-depth interviews. All the participants had knowledge of FGM and its practice. Rural health workers are getting more involved. ‘Female Genital Crushing’ is replacing actual cutting. The participants all agreed there is no benefit and the practice should stop. Conclusion: Female Genital Mutilation is secretly practiced and is getting replaced by “Female Genital Crushing” perpetrated by rural health workers as well as mothers, fathers, traditional birth attendants and the peer group playing a major role with low knowledge of the Law against Female genital mutilation.展开更多

It is found that the transition from filament discharge t...In this work, the influence of discharge modes on the excimer XeCl emission (308 nm) has been studied by adding helium gas into the xenon and chlorine mixture. It is found that the transition from filament discharge to glow /filament - combined discharge leads to the decrease in excimer emission. We are the first one to use a flowing water film as an outer transparent electrode, and achieve a higher UV intensity, compared with the case by using a metal mesh as the outer electrode. The influence of the gas temperature both in the reactor Tg and in a discharge channel Tc on the excimer emission has been analyzed preliminarily. Finally, it has been expected that the replacement of chlorine gas Cl2 by another chlorine gas may reduce the heat generated in the discharge processes and give rise to the excimer XeCl* radiation.展开更多

Above the two branches are two synoptic-scale transient tubular monsoon circulation systems, the northern branch being a subtropical monsoon stream tube (SMST) and the southern branch a tropical monsoon stream tube (TMST). The mutagenic effects of fenthion. using SCE (in vivo) and UDS(in vitro) as indicators, were also tested. Histochemical changes in enzyme activities (including AChE. ATPase. and AK.P) in tissues were observed. The results showed that the acute toxicitv of fenthion belongs to highly toxic category. The highly cumulative effect of fenthion was also observed. The subchronic toxicitv test. however. did not reveal any abnormal effects except the inhibition of ChE activity in plasma. The dose and ChE activity relationship equation was V=0.82.x+4.71. The SCE and UDS tests revealed no mutagenic potential. In histochemical experiments we found that AChE activity in tissues was markediv inhibited. It was found t...The orientation distribution of recrystallization grains formed during annealing, as well as their misorientation relationship to the deformation matrix in cold rolled FeCo alloy have been investigated. It was found that most of the recrystallization nuclei were located near the boundary area with rather random orientations, and their misorientation angles to the deformation matrix were generally very high. However a few nuclei were also observed inside the deformation grains, to which they had very similar orientations. Therefore the misorientation angles between the nuclei and the deformation matrix were generally very low. The orientation and the misorientation distributions of the nuclei have very strong influence on the recrystallization process which could result in a very weak recrystallization texture. The corresponding mechanism is discussed.展开更多

On the basis of vegetation div...Three types of landscape boundary (forest/pepper field, forest/cabbage field,and forest/grassland) were selected in the arid valley of upper reaches of Minjiang River,southwestern China. On the basis of vegetation diversity, the depth of edge influence (DEI) ondifferent types of landscape boundaries was estimated using principal components analysis (PCA)method and moving split-window techniques (MSWT). The results showed that in the 5 transects, PCAmethod was able to detect the edge influence depth with 3 transects, while MSWT could explain 4transects. It is concluded that PCA and MSWT both can be used to detect the depth of edge influencewithin 50 m from the edge to the interior. Similar conclusions were drawn in the forest of eachtransect with the two methods, but no similar conclusions were drawn in the pepper field of eachtransect. Although the two methods have advantages and disadvantages respectively, they are usefultools for characterizing edge dynamics. Comparing the two methods, MSWT is more successful.展开更多

[Objective] The research aimed to study the possible mechanism of terrain effect on cold-flow snowstorm.[Method] By using the meso-scale numerical model(WRF),a cold-flow snowstorm weather process in Shandong Peninsula...[Objective] The research aimed to study the possible mechanism of terrain effect on cold-flow snowstorm.[Method] By using the meso-scale numerical model(WRF),a cold-flow snowstorm weather process in Shandong Peninsula was carried out numerical simulation and terrain sensitivity contrast test.The possible reason of terrain effect on falling zone and strength of snowstorm was deeply analyzed from water vapor,thermodynamic field and so on.[Result] The mountain terrain in Shandong Peninsula had great influences on falling zone and strength of cold-flow snowstorm.The strength of snowstorm obviously increased,and the snowfall center obviously moved northward.The main reason was that terrain caused the low-level wind field convergence and vertical movement in the troposphere strengthened.Then,the spatial distribution of water vapor and snow water content in the cold-flow snowstorm process obviously changed.So,the whole snowstorm process was affected.[Conclusion] The mountain terrain in Shandong Peninsula was the important element which needed to be focused on considering in the forecast analysis of cold-flow snowstorm weather process.展开更多
During the movement of Typhoon Hato(2017)over land,heavy rainfall occurred when the spiral rainband which was about 100 km distance away from the center of the typhoon passed the Dayao Mountain(with an elevation of 1....During the movement of Typhoon Hato(2017)over land,heavy rainfall occurred when the spiral rainband which was about 100 km distance away from the center of the typhoon passed the Dayao Mountain(with an elevation of 1.2 km).In this study,the structures and forming mechanism of the heavy rainband along the mountain range are investigated by using high-resolution model simulations.The results show the importance of topography in causing the heavy rainband.Upslope of the steep terrain lifts the cyclonic flow to produce strong upward motion when the rainband passes across with high wind speed.At the same time,the warm and humid air is lifted to the steep slope,causing unstable energy to accumulate over the windward slope,which is conducive to the occurrence of rainfall.In particular,the convective cells generated upstream of rainband will further strengthen and develop due to the uplift when they move close to the mountain foot.Some precipitation particles in the convective cells fall to the ground while others move downstream with the intense updrafts,forming heavy rainfall near the summit.As a result,the largest accumulative rainfall coincides well with the orientation of the mountain ridge.展开更多

The result shows that the variation of the monthly anomalous OLR is somewhat teleconnected with the TC activity in southern China. The former is used to predict short-term climate for the latter over months with frequent or no TC influence. To some extent, the relationship between the TC activity in southern China and the monthly mean OLR anomalies is dependent on the climatological location of the subtropical high in northwestern Pacific region.展开更多

文摘[Objective] The research aimed to study the possible mechanism of terrain effect on cold-flow snowstorm.[Method] By using the meso-scale numerical model(WRF),a cold-flow snowstorm weather process in Shandong Peninsula was carried out numerical simulation and terrain sensitivity contrast test.The possible reason of terrain effect on falling zone and strength of snowstorm was deeply analyzed from water vapor,thermodynamic field and so on.[Result] The mountain terrain in Shandong Peninsula had great influences on falling zone and strength of cold-flow snowstorm.The strength of snowstorm obviously increased,and the snowfall center obviously moved northward.The main reason was that terrain caused the low-level wind field convergence and vertical movement in the troposphere strengthened.Then,the spatial distribution of water vapor and snow water content in the cold-flow snowstorm process obviously changed.So,the whole snowstorm process was affected.[Conclusion] The mountain terrain in Shandong Peninsula was the important element which needed to be focused on considering in the forecast analysis of cold-flow snowstorm weather process.

文摘During the movement of Typhoon Hato(2017)over land,heavy rainfall occurred when the spiral rainband which was about 100 km distance away from the center of the typhoon passed the Dayao Mountain(with an elevation of 1.2 km).In this study,the structures and forming mechanism of the heavy rainband along the mountain range are investigated by using high-resolution model simulations.The results show the importance of topography in causing the heavy rainband.Upslope of the steep terrain lifts the cyclonic flow to produce strong upward motion when the rainband passes across with high wind speed.At the same time,the warm and humid air is lifted to the steep slope,causing unstable energy to accumulate over the windward slope,which is conducive to the occurrence of rainfall.In particular,the convective cells generated upstream of rainband will further strengthen and develop due to the uplift when they move close to the mountain foot.Some precipitation particles in the convective cells fall to the ground while others move downstream with the intense updrafts,forming heavy rainfall near the summit.As a result,the largest accumulative rainfall coincides well with the orientation of the mountain ridge.

文摘With the OLR data, the landfall and activity of tropical cyclones (TC) in southern China over a 20-year period (1975~1994) are studied. The result shows that the variation of the monthly anomalous OLR is somewhat teleconnected with the TC activity in southern China. The former is used to predict short-term climate for the latter over months with frequent or no TC influence. To some extent, the relationship between the TC activity in southern China and the monthly mean OLR anomalies is dependent on the climatological location of the subtropical high in northwestern Pacific region.
