A.D. could serve as an example of the unique history of interaction between Buddhism and Japanese autochthonous religion Shinto. The first Buddhist Sangha in Japan, at the same time was also a female Buddhist community of nuns in this country. It could be assumed that the choice of the women, designed to embody the Dharma in Japan, was not accidental and was driven by the perception of the Buddha image at the time of its introduction in Japan in VI century, especially to compare with the hagiographies of Tibetan yoginis (Machig LabdrSn, Yeshe Tsogyal) and Chinese nuns ("Bikuni Zhuan") of V-VII cc. With a number of similarities (persecutions of the anti-Buddhists, desire to receive a full knowledge of Dharma), the information of the first Japanese nuns still differ considerably from the hagiographies of yoginis and Chinese Buddhist nuns. The activity of first Japanese nuns, consisted in the worship of the statue of the Buddha, rather remind the shamanistic responsibilities of the Shinto priestesses, who were the intermediates between people and gods. This is reflected in the early Japanese description of Buddhist monks and nuns in Nihon ShOki, Gangoji Garan Engi and Nihon ryOiM as the Shamanistic priests and guardians of the Buddha-imase with a special magical status, rather than the preachers of Dharma, in comparison with the Tibetan and Chinese sources.展开更多

Like many other places in the Han nationality distributed regions, minority nationality inhabited regions are also facing the challenge of sustainable development in terms of both natural and human factors. Taking the Tibetan inhabited regions (TIR) in Sichuan Province as a case, this paper points out some major problems in the process of economic development in perspective of sustainability and leaves some hints for development strategies. While natural conditions such as geological instability are playing a major role to the environmental degradation, human activities and improper use of resources might constitute an important agent in the environmental deterioration. In order to promote local economic development and improve people’s living standard, sustainable planning is expected to be made and people’s awareness of sustainability should be strengthened.展开更多

Then, the content of hydroxysafflower yellow A(HSYA) and cholic acid in the extract of artificial cattle bezoar(artificial Calculus bovis) and safflower(Carthamus tinctorius L.) was measured by ultraviolet visible-vis spectrophotometry and high-performance liquid chromatography. The effects of ESCP combined with vancomycin on MRSA by observing its biofilm viability were assessed using a 2,3-bis-(2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium5-carboxanilide reduction assay and scanning electron microscopy.Additionally, enzyme activity was measured by plasma coagulase test and DNase test. Results: The cholic acid content of the artificial C. bovis extract was 7.34(0.81) mg/g, and the HSYA content of the C. tinctorius extract was 9.18(0.09) mg/g. The minimal inhibitory concentrations of ESCP and vancomycin were 25.6 mg/m L and 2 μg/m L. The minimum bactericidal concentration of ESCP was51.2 mg/m L. ESCP combined with vancomycin could inhibit the expression of coagulase and bacteria in mature biofilms. Neither ESCP nor vancomycin had a significant effect on DNase. Conclusion: This study is the first to show that ESCP combined with vancomycin inhibits coagulase and MRSA embedded in mature biofilms and that it represents a promising treatment for MRSA infection.展开更多
