A scaling group transformation is used to reduce the governing equations to a system of ordinary differen- tial equations. The skin friction coefficients of the MHD boundary layer flow are derived, and the approximate solutions of the flow characteristics are obtained with the homotopy analysis method (HAM). However, several recent studies have revealed the presence of sand injection structures, intrusive breccias, and hydraulic fractures in the open pit of the Jinding deposit and suggested that the deposit was formed from explosive release of overpres- sured fluids. This study reports new observations of fluid overpressure-related structures from under- ground workings (Paomaping and Fengzishan), which show clearer crosscutting relationships than in the open pit. The observed structures include: 1) sand (--rock fragment) dikes injecting into fractures in solidified rocks; 2) sand (~rock fragment) bodies intruding into unconsolidated or semi-consolidated sediments; 3) disintegrated semi-consolidated sand bodies; and 4) veins and breccias formed from hydraulic fracturing of solidified rocks followed by cementation of hydrothermal minerals. The development of ore minerals (sphalerite) in the cement of the various clastic injection and hydraulic fractures indicate that these structures were formed at the same time as mineralization. The development of hydraulic fractures and breccias with random orientation indicates small differential stress during mineralization, which is different from the stress field with strong horizontal shortening prior to miner- alization. Fluid flow velocity may have been up to more than 11 m/s based on calculations from the size of the fragments in the clastic dikes. The clastic injection and hydraulic fracturing structures are interpreted to have formed from explosive release of overpressured fluids, which may have been related to either magmatic intrusions at depth or seismic activities that episodically tapped an overpressured fluid reservoir. Because the clastic injection and hydraulic structures are genetically linked with the mineralizing fluid source, they can be used as a guide for mineral exploration.展开更多

Therefore, mesenchymal stem cells have been shown to exhibit prospects in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. However, the safety of their clinical application needs to be validated. To investigate the safety of intrathecal injection of Wharton's jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis therapy, 43 patients(16 females and 27 males, mean age of 57.3 years) received an average dose of 0.42 × 106 cells/kg through intrathecal administration at the cervical, thoracic or lumbar region depending on the clinical symptoms. There was a 2 month interval between two injections. The adverse events occurring during a 6-month treatment period were evaluated. No adverse events occurred. Headache occurred in one case only after first injection of stem cells. This suggests that intrathecal injection of Wharton's Jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells is well tolerated in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Experiments were conducted in a cold model of 186 mm ID with two oppositely inclined secondary air feed nozzles. The flow structure was determined by means of the axial static pressure measurements and local radial optic fiber probe measurements on different levels with emphasis on the sections downstream of the secondary injection. The measurements reveal that the secondary injection plays a crucial role on riser hydrodynamics. Just above the secondary injection, the flow and mixing are strongly affected, while below the secondary injection the effect is weak. The radial profile just downstream of secondary injection demonstrates wavy features. The effective region of secondary injection could be estimated by the axial pressure gradient profiles and/or the radial profiles of local solids velocity and density.展开更多

The KTB seismic network recorded more than 2 700 events. Among them 237 events were of high signal-to-noise ratio, and were processed and accurately located. When the events were located, non KTB events were weeded out by Wadatis method. The standard deviation, mean and median were obtained by Jackknife's technique, and finally the events were accurately located by Gei-gers method so that the mean error is about 0.1 km. No earthquakes with focal depth greater than 9.3 km, which is nearly at the bottom of the hole, were detected. One of the explanation is that at such depths the stress levels may not close to the rocks frictional strength so that failure could not be induced by the relatively small perturbation in pore pressure. Or at these depths there may be no permeable, well-oriented faults. This depth may be in close proximity to the bottom of the hole to the brittle-ductile transition, even in this relatively stable interior of the in-teraplate. This phenomenon is explained by the experimental results and geothermal data from the superdeep bore-hole.展开更多

However, we still had an inadvertent malpractice. The patient was diagnosed with lumbar discogenic lower back pain and was administrated an outward-going intervertebral foramina puncture through the side of lumbar vertebra spinous process (L5-S1). The drug mixture, containing triamcinolone acetonide suspension, cyanocobalamin and bupivacaine HCl, was injected. The patient had palpitations, chest tightness, dyspnea, bradycardia, and hypotension 3 min right after the injection. The vital signs gradually stabilized after treatment with atropine sulfate;however, he had complete sensorimotor loss below the level of distribution of the T2 spinal nerve. The cerebrospinal fluid pressure was lower in the subarachnoid space and the cerebrospinal fluid was slightly turbid and light pink in color. Six hours later, the sensory, motor, defecation, and urination functions returned to normal level. The patient had follow-up evaluations at 1, 3, and 6 months. The lumbar and hip pain was mild-to-severe at times as usual, but there were no other neurologic sequelae. Conclusions: This case showed that there is a risk that drugs may stray into the subarachnoid space during an outward-going intervertebral foramina puncture through the side of lumbar vertebral spinous process. The complication may occur due to a distal nerve root cyst. The result of triamcinolone acetonide suspension and cyanocobalamin injection into the cerebrospinal fluid was not as serious as we imagined.展开更多

Furthermore, we tested a number of numerical models using the FLAC;modeling software to find the best model to represent the experimental results. The high-speed multichannel acoustic emission(AE) waveform recording system used in this study made it possible to examine the total fracture process through detailed monitoring of AE hypocenters and seismic velocity. The experimental results show that injecting high-pressure oil into the rock sample can induce AE activity at very low stress levels and can dramatically reduce the strength of the rock. The results of the numerical simulations show that major experimental results, including the strength, the temporal and spatial patterns of the AE events, and the role of the fluid can be represented fairly well by a model involving(1) randomly distributed defect elements to model pre-existing cracks,(2) random modification of rock properties to represent inhomogeneity introduced by different mineral grains, and(3)macroscopic inhomogeneity. Our study, which incorporates laboratory experiments and numerical simulations, indicates that such an approach is helpful in finding a better model not only for simulating experimental results but also for upscaling purposes.展开更多

Beam collimators are arranged on both sides of the beam channel for absorbing the divergence beam during the beam transmission process in the EAST-NBI system. The gas baffle entrance collimator(GBEC) is a typical high-heat-flux component located at the entrance of gas baffle. An efficient and accurate analysis of its thermodynamic performance is of great significance to explore the working limit and to ensure safe operation of the system under a high-parameter steady-state condition. The analytical eolution is obtained and the heat transfer behaviour is investigated under a constant heat flux boundary condition. It is shown that the Nusselt number strongly depends on the value of power law index n. The Nusselt number sharply decreases in the range of 0 〈 n 〈 0.1. However, for n 〉 0.5, the Nusselt number decreases monotonically with the increasing n, and for n 〉 20, the values of Nusselt number approach a constant.展开更多

Due to this type of injection velocity the dusty flow becomes 3D. Perturbation method is used to obtain the expressions for the velocity and temperature fields of both the fluid and dust. It was found that the velocity profiles of both the fluid and dust in the main flow direction decrease with the increase of the mass concentration of the dust particles, and those in cross flow direction increase with an increase in the mass concentration of the dust particles up to the middle of the channel and thereafter decrease with increase in mass concentration of the dust particles. The skin friction components Tx and Tz in the main flow and transverse directions respectively increase with an increase in the mass concentration of the dust particles (or) injection parameter. The heat transfer coefficient decreases with the increase of the injection parameter and increases with the increase in the mass concentration of the dust particles.展开更多

Because the clastic injection and hydraulic structures are genetically linked with the mineralizing fluid source, they can be used as a guide for mineral exploration.

文摘Animal experiments have confirmed that mesenchymal stem cells can inhibit motor neuron apoptosis and inflammatory factor expression and increase neurotrophic factor expression. 文摘In order to realize steady-state operation of the neutral beam injection(NBI) system with high beam energy,an accurate thermal analysis and a prediction about working conditions of heat-removal structures inside high-heat-flux(HHF) components in the system are key issues. In this paper, taking the HHF ion dump with swirl tubes in NBI system as an example,an accurate thermal dynamic simulation method based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) and the finite volume method is presented to predict performance of the HHF component. In this simulation method, the Eulerian multiphase method together with some empirical corrections about the inter-phase transfer model and the wall heat flux partitioning model are considered to describe the subcooled boiling. The reliability of the proposed method is validated by an experimental example with subcooled boiling inside swirl tube. The proposed method provides an important tool for the refined thermal and flow dynamic analysis of HHF components, and can be extended to study the thermal design of other complex HHF engineering structures in a straightforward way.The simulation results also verify that the swirl tube is a promising heat removing structure for the HHF components of the NBI system.

文摘To study the fluid dynamic response mechanism under the working condition of water injection well borehole, based on the microelement analysis of fluid mechanics and the classical theory of hydrodynamics,a fluid microelement pressure-flow rate relationship model is built to derive and solve the dynamic distribution of fluid pressure and flow rate in the space of well borehole.Combined with the production data of a typical deviated well in China, numerical simulations and analyses are carried out to analyze the dynamic distribution of wellbore pressure at different injection pressures and injection volumes, the delayed and attenuated characteristics of fluid transmission in tube, and the dynamic distribution of wellbore pressure amplitude under the fluctuation of wellhead pressure. The pressure loss along the wellbore has nothing to do with the absolute pressure, and the design of the coding and decoding scheme for wave code communication doesn’t need to consider the absolute pressure during injecting. When the injection pressure is constant, the higher the injection flow rate at the wellhead, the larger the pressure loss along the wellbore. The fluid wave signal delay amplitude mainly depends on the length of the wellbore. The smaller the tubing diameter, the larger the fluid wave signal attenuation amplitude. The higher the target wave code amplitude(differential pressure identification root mean square)generated at the same well depth, the greater the wellhead pressure wave amplitude required to overcome the wellbore pressure loss.

文摘This paper studies the influence of feed injection on the hydrodynamic behavior of fluid catalytic cracking riser reactors. The effective region of secondary injection could be estimated by the axial pressure gradient profiles and/or the radial profiles of local solids velocity and density.

文摘Natural fractures are generally well developed in most hydrocarbon and geothermal reservoirs, which can produce complex fracture networks due to the activation of fractures during hydraulic stimulation. The present paper is devoted to developing a method to investigate the activation characteristics of fracture under injection-shearing coupled condition at laboratory scale. The fluid is injected into the single-fractured granite until the fracture is activated based on the triaxial direct shear tests. The results show that injection process can significantly influence the shear stress distribution field, resulting in release of shear stress and relative slip between the opposite sides of the fractured surface. The injectioninduced activation of fracture is strongly dependent on the stress states. When the normal stress increases, the injection-induced activation pressure increases, and the comparatively high normal stress can restrain the fracture activation. The fracture deformation mechanisms during fluid injection are also discussed preliminarily with the experimental data. The sensitivity of shear stress to fluid injection increases with increase of shear stress level, while it decreases under high normal stress. The results can facilitate our understanding of the natural fracture activation behavior during fluid pressure stimulation.
文摘From August 21, 2000 to October 20, 2000,a fluid injection-induced seismicity experiment has been carried out in the KTB (German Continental Deep Drilling Program). This phenomenon is explained by the experimental results and geothermal data from the superdeep bore-hole.
文摘An outward-going intervertebral foramina puncture along the side of lumbar vertebra spinous process was used to avoid infusing drugs into the subarachnoid space. The result of triamcinolone acetonide suspension and cyanocobalamin injection into the cerebrospinal fluid was not as serious as we imagined.

文摘Based on the petrology, isotope geochemistry and fluid inclusions analysis,we established the evolutionary mode of the diagenetic fluid of dawsonite-bearing sandstone in the Jiyang Depression.Dawsonite-bearing sandstone is characterized by double injection of CO_(2)and oil-gas in the Jiyang Depression that have experienced a relatively complex diagenetic fluid evolution process. The diagenetic sequence of secondary minerals involves secondary enlargement of quartz,kaolinite,first-stage calcite,dawsonite,second-stage calcite, ferrocalcite, dolomite and ankerite.Hydrocarbon charging in the dawsonite-bearing sandstone occurred at around 2.6–0 Myr.The CO_(2)charging event occurred during Dongying tectonism, forming the Pingfangwang CO_(2)gas reservoir, which provided an abundant carbon source for dawsonite precipitation.Carbon and oxygen isotopic compositions of dawsonite demonstrate that CO_(2)forming the dawsonite was of an inorganic origin derived from the mantle, and that water mediating the proc-ess during dawsonite precipitation was sequestered brine with a fluid temperature of 82℃.The evolutionary sequence of the diagenetic fluid in the dawsonite-bearing sandstone was:alkaline syngenetic fluids, weak alkaline fluids during organic acid forma-tion,acidic fluids in the early stage of CO_(2)injection,alkaline fluids in the late stage of CO_(2)injection,and weak alkaline fluids during oil and gas charging. The mode indicates an increase in-HCO_(3)because of the CO_(2)injection,and the loss of Ca^(2+)and Mg^(2+)due to the precipitation of carbonate minerals. Therefore, the evolutionary mode of diagenetic fluids is in good agreement with high HCO_(3)^(-),low Ca^(2+)and low Mg^(2+)composition of the present formation water in the dawsonite-bearing sandstone.

文摘In order to improve our understanding of rock fracture and fault instability driven by high-pressure fluid sources, the authors carried out rock fracture tests using granite under a confining pressure of 80 MPa with fluid injection in the laboratory. Our study, which incorporates laboratory experiments and numerical simulations, indicates that such an approach is helpful in finding a better model not only for simulating experimental results but also for upscaling purposes.

文摘In the design of negative hydrogen ion sources,a magnetic filter field of tens of Gauss at the expansion region is essential to reduce the electron temperature, which usually results in a magnetic field of around 10 Gauss in the driver region, destabilizing the discharge. The magnetic shield technique is proposed in this work to reduce the magnetic field in the driver region and improve the discharge characteristics. In this paper,a three-dimensional fluid model is developed within COMSOL to study the influence of the magnetic shield on the generation and transport of plasmas in the negative hydrogen ion source. It is found that when the magnetic shield material is applied at the interface of the expansion region and the driver region, the electron density can be effectively increased. For instance, the maximum of the electron density is 6.7×10^(17)m^(-3)in the case without the magnetic shield, and the value increases to 9.4×10^(17)m^(-3)when the magnetic shield is introduced.

文摘The world's first full Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak(EAST) is designed with the auxiliary heating method of neutral beam injection(NBI)system. Based on the thermo-fluid coupled method, thermodynamic analysis and simulation of GBEC is performed to get the working states and corresponding operating limits at different beam extraction conditions. This study provides a theoretical guidance for the next step to achieve long pulse with highpower experimental operation and has an important reference to ensure the safe operation of the system.

文摘We present a theoretical analysis for fully developed convective beat transfer in a circular tube for power law fluids by assuming that the thermal diffusivity is a function of temperature gradient. The analytical eolution is obtained and the heat transfer behaviour is investigated under a constant heat flux boundary condition. It is shown that the Nusselt number strongly depends on the value of power law index n. The Nusselt number sharply decreases in the range of 0 〈 n 〈 0.1. However, for n 〉 0.5, the Nusselt number decreases monotonically with the increasing n, and for n 〉 20, the values of Nusselt number approach a constant.
文摘The rheological features of an incompressible axi-symmetric Casson-Maxwell nanofluid flow between two stationary disks are examined. The lower permeable disk is located at z=-a,while the upper disk is placed at z=a.Both the disks are porous and subjected to uniform injection. The fluid properties such as thermal conductivity vary with temperature. The Cattaneo-Christov thermal expression is implemented along with the Buongiorno nanofluid theory.By operating the similarity functions, the reduced form of the fluid model in terms of ordinary differential equations is obtained and solved by the bvp4 c numerical technique. The physical quantities are demonstrated graphically on the velocity and temperature fields.Three-dimensional flow arrangements and twodimensional contour patterns against several dimensionless variables are also sketched. The numerical values of the local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers for various quantities are presented in tabular set-up.The intensity of the linear relationship between the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers is assessed through Pearson’s product-moment correlation technique. The statistical implication of the linear association between variables is also examined by the t-test statistic approach.
文摘The couette dusty flow between two horizontal parallel porous flat plates with transverse sinusoidal injection of the dusty fluid at the stationary plate and its corresponding removal by constant suction through the plate in uniform motion was analyzed. The heat transfer coefficient decreases with the increase of the injection parameter and increases with the increase in the mass concentration of the dust particles.
