However, no in-depth researches have been made on how to solve this problem. Using data from Henan Province, China, employing geographical detector technology, this paper focuses on testing whether the industry-university-research cooperation can contribute to coordinating the relation between regional innovation and economic development. It is shown that: 1) the industry-universityresearch cooperation in Henan Province is increasing gradually, and the network presents a core-edge structure, and the coupling degree between regional innovation and economic development is spatially unbalanced, which is similar to the spatial distribution of the intensity of industry-university-research cooperation;2) as an important approach to effectively connect scientific researches with market demands, the industry-university-research cooperation can help form an interactive, interconnected, coupled and coordinated virtuous relation between regional innovation and economic development. Compared with the cooperation between organizations of the same type and the separate innovation of organizations, the improvement of the industry-university-research cooperation level can better coordinate the relation between regional innovation and economic development;3) the cooperative innovation model between enterprises and universities can better promote the coupling between regional innovation and economic development, compared with many industryuniversity-research cooperation models. For underdeveloped areas lacking local knowledge base, industry-university-research cooperation should be considered as a long-term development strategy, especially using the knowledge sources of external universities and scientific research institutions to enhance innovation capability and achieve economic growth.展开更多

To this end, we use a random sample of 861 manufactttring f'Lrms with 10 or more employees from the Basque Autonomous Community (in Spain), accounting for 26.29% of the population. Maximum sampling error is 2.87% for a 95% confidence interval. We start from a competitiveness general model of the firm, and set out under the resource based view of the finn, which had been previously tested and validated by Martinez (2009) for the whole sample. The model is formed with the constructs of management capabilities, innovative capabilities, marketing capabilities, quality capabilities, current competitiveness and future competitiveness. From this point, we test a set of alternative hierarchical models both for the total sample and for different divisions in sub-samples, according to the intervals of size in number of employees, OECD technological levels and firms' subcontractor character. The innovative capabilities construct is reflected in the items of radical product innovation, incremental product innovation, innovation in the production process, innovation in marketing, management innovation and the efforts in company workers' training and development. From all these items, previous descriptive data analysis showed that although product radical innovation was the most representative capability for superior innovativeness, it was at the same time the least evident from all the aforementioned items in the case of the analyzed Basque industrial companies. The analysis of results led us to conclude that the factor of innovative capabilities was the most influential on current competitiveness among the whole sample. In particular, as regards the size factor, this positive effect dilutes in the case of smaller companies. In the same manner, whereas in the case of the companies with higher technological level it is verified that the factor of innovative capabilities reveals crucial, in the group of fhans with lower technological level the most relevant factor is quality. Also, the same effect is evidenced for the case of the subcontractor/non-subcontractor nature of the finns: The first ones show quality as the most relevant construct while for the second ones it is the innovative capabilities.展开更多

文摘This study investigated the relationships between human resource(HR)practices, employee psychological empowerment, employee innovative work behavior, and firm innovation capability in the context of the Information and Communication Technology(ICT)sector in Jordan.Employing the Social Exchange Theory(SET)as a guiding framework, this study explored how employee psychological empowerment and innovative work behavior mediated the influence of HR practices on a firm’s innovative capabilities.Drawing on extensive data collected from ICT organizations in Jordan, our analysis had several key findings.A significant positive correlation between HR practices and psychological empowerment was observed.Job design emerged as the most influential factor affecting psychological empowerment, whereas compensation had a weaker impact.Furthermore,we established that psychological empowerment significantly enhanced innovative work behavior, underscoring its role as a catalyst for innovative work behavior within the sector. Finally, our study supported the theory that psychological empowerment influenced a firms’innovation capabilities, emphasizing the pivotal role of employee empowerment in driving firm-level innovation in the Jordanian ICT sector. These findings provide insights for academic and practical audiences, clarifying how HR practices, employee psychological empowerment, and innovative work behavior collectively influenced firm innovation capability within the unique context of the Jordanian ICT sector.
文摘Innovation capabilities(ICs)represent a crucial source of competitive advantage for firms. However, the literature on ICs is extensive, leading to a diverse understanding of their nature and measurement.A notable gap exists in delineating the dimensions constituting ICs.This article aims to address this gap by identifying and pinpointing the various dimensions of ICs through a systematic literature review(SLR).The initial step involves identifying the diverse dimensions used in ICs,providing a distinctive insight for assessing their metrics.Notably, this SLR stands out as the only comprehensive analysis of various ICs dimensions, organizing them coherently.Examining 103 articles from the Web of Science and Scopus databases spanning from 2001 to 2022,the results reveal an amalgam of scales and associated approaches for IC measurement. This study contributes to the literature by systematically identifying and analyzing the main dimensions employed by researchers to measure ICs.Additionally,it highlights the foundational theoretical approaches of the identified studies. In practical terms, the study consolidates and presents the identified dimensions and metrics in integrative tables, offering researchers and companies valuable insights into diverse innovation paths that impact performance.

文摘In this study,we advance the literature on export and government subsidy by examining their effects in the context of China,a fastgrowing emerging economy, and comparing the effects across ownership of enterprises. We examine the relationship among export, government support and firms’innovation capability, and how these relationships differ between state-owned and private owned enterprises,by using a large data sample of Chinese firms(2003–2007).First,we find that there exists an inverted U-shaped relationship between export and innovation in state-owned enterprises, but not in private owned enterprises.Second, there is a positive effect of government subsidy on firms’innovation capability. Finally, from the sub-sample analyses,we identify differences in the impact of government support between SOEs and POEs.This study will inspire future research into these issues in the disciplines of marketing, management and international business.

文摘The economy of China has turned to the stage of high-quality development. In this sense, the connotation of regional innovation capacity should reflect more aspects, such as better economic effectiveness, people-centered philosophy of development and better living conditions. This study aims at establishing the evaluation index system of regional innovation capacity under high-quality perspective. Then the dynamic evaluation method based on gray correlation degree and TOPSIS is improved. And the improved method is applied to evaluate the regional innovation capacity under high-quality development perspective. The results show that: 1) The regional innovation capacity of Jiangsu, Zhejiang,Shanghai and Guangdong under high-quality development perspective is better than other regions, while the regional innovation capacity of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is imbalanced. Regional innovation capability of Fujian, Shandong, and Hainan from a high-quality perspective is at the middle and lower levels. 2) From the perspective of development trends, the gap of regional innovation capacity between Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Guangdong and Fujian, Hebei, Shandong is gradually narrowing.3) An in-depth analysis of the regional innovation capability of the eastern provinces and cities from the perspective of high-quality development through different dimensions shows that Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu perform well in all dimensions, while Fujian and Hainan need to pay more attention to innovation input and the creation of a better innovation environment to enhance innovation output and promote innovation effectiveness. At last, based on above analysis, relevant policy recommendations are proposed.
文摘Evolutionary game theory expands into a number of areas that go beyond the biological concept of evolution to include sociology, economics, and business management.Social networks determine definite interactions between individuals in social settings. The common nature of these two broad areas of research generates interest in applying the approaches of evolutionary game theory to social network-based problems.Knowledge transfer that occurs in the process of social interaction improves a company's innovation capability. This paper attempts to explore ways in which networks relate to knowledge transfer on the basis of evolutionary game theory. We offer a simple mathematical model to examine the interaction of knowledge transfer and actor behavior in games of coordination.
文摘There are several enablers to the innovation capability in the exisiting literature, but they all are considered with equal importance.Researchers believe ranking will advance the understanding of academicians and practitioners further.Hence,we started by recognizing the enablers from the available literature and exploring the possible causal relationship among them.A framework based on the causal relationship among the enablers is proposed.Grey DEMATEL(Decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory)has been used to establish this causal relationship. This study identifies nine of the fifteen enablers as causal factors. They are as follows:Knowledge Exploration,Ideation and Organizational Structure,Organizational Climate,Risk Taking Ability,Collaboration and Networking,Institutional Support,Rejuvenation and Upgrading,Leadership Practices,Technological Adaptation.Practitioners, academicians, and policymakers will have a better understanding of this causal relationship among enablers.Knowledge of these enablers will help in fostering a more conducive environment for escalating the process of innovation in the handicraft cluster.
