It is urgent and necessary to integrate a marine geographical information system (MGIS) with marine remote sensing detection modules. On the basis of the current technology and features of applications, an open three-layer integration framework is designed. At the data layer, a two-level three-base integration mechanism based on the plug-in technology is applied; At the function layer, an integration mode based on API, DLL, EXE and COM is discussed; and at the application layer, a sharing mechanism based on the clients/service is adopted. As an example, the remote sensing integrated application information system of China's coastal zone and offshore (MaXplorer1. 0) with muhiecology remote sensing fusion and assimilation module, surge detection module as well as eight other thematic application modules is integrated, and the key technology of integration is discussed at different layers and in different modules. The result shows that it is possible to realize the conformity of technology and resources and to provide the incorporate technology platform for marine information operational functioning after applying the integration framework. 展开更多

In the era of information, geography has made remarkable progress in the development of its research objective and approaches. Geographic information System (GIS), which is similar to the quantitative geography developed in the 1950s to the 1970s, is broadly accepted in moderm tinies.However, limitations caused by the functions of GIS, and the complexity of geographic environment has provoked people to find a new research method to meet the demand stemmed from geographical researches. This paper firstly looks back on the history of geographical research methods and makes an analysis of their limitations', then, makes a prospective view on the GIS and its related fields.Based on thes, the paper presents a new research method: comprehensive integration of geographic information, which is guided by Meta-Synthetic-Engineering in methodology and supported by modem technology. Aiming to exploit a kind of research method, discussion on comprehensive integration of geographic information is given to try to answer how geography will develop in the era of information. Geographical studies of outdoor activities have increased in recent years with the rise in popularity of these activities worldwide,including in Japan.Volunteered geographic information(VGI)is a key tool for organizing outdoor activities as it offers a means to determine the locational information and names of places.To evaluate the quality of VGI,geospatial data generated by land survey agencies and other VGI are often utilized as reference data.However,since these reference data may not be available,other methods are necessary to assure the quality of VGI.In this study,we examined five trust indicators based on the inherent characteristics of VGI through an empirical case study.We used mountain names extracted from OpenStreetMap in Japan as data because there were almost no other VGI in the vicinity.As a result,we isolated three trust indicators,namely versions,users,and tag corrections,to examine the thematic accuracy of VGI because these were the only statistically significant indicators.However,we found that the prediction rate of thematic accuracy was very low.To improve thematic accuracy,this study recommends using the most accurate versions,applying correctly given tags,and considering the motivations and characteristics of the VGI contributors. 展开更多

The systems that enable storage of large amounts of spatial data and must be made availabl... In a world where there is constant data generation and processing, the need for an integrated system cannot be overemphasized. The systems that enable storage of large amounts of spatial data and must be made available to multiple users in real time. Studies have shown that standalone desktop spatial systems are often rigid and inflexible to support multiple data processing or demands from multiple users. The integrated spatial management system was designed to address the above highlighted challenges by bringing enhanced possibilities of utilization of spatial data though improving accessibility, visualization, and processing spatial information. The present work employed a mixed approach of qualitative and quantitative techniques to obtain the desired result. Qualitative data collection tools were used to collect field data required to design the prototype. The research sought to establish whether the integrated systems are in use by the targeted institutions, the findings highlighted that 71.4% have no integrated spatial data systems while 28.6% have partial-integrated systems. An overview of the architecture of integrated spatial systems consists of a well distributed database linked to multiple tools and platforms to query both the spatial and non-spatial data. The WEB-GIS and Mobile GIS interfaces were developed to allow multiple users to access information through the web in real time and data collection, respectively. 展开更多

滇池流域生态系统完整性变化及其驱动机理实证研究

滇池流域是长江水源的重要涵养地和我国西南的生态安全屏障,其生态系统完整性变化是整个流域生态系统质量和稳定性的重要体现,对生态系统保护和修复具有重要指导意义。通过ArcGIS空间分析、地理探测器模型和皮尔逊相关分析等方法,基于... 滇池流域是长江水源的重要涵养地和我国西南的生态安全屏障,其生态系统完整性变化是整个流域生态系统质量和稳定性的重要体现,对生态系统保护和修复具有重要指导意义。通过ArcGIS空间分析、地理探测器模型和皮尔逊相关分析等方法,基于生态系统结构、功能和弹性三方面构建综合指数,评估2000—2020年滇池流域生态系统完整性时空变化,分析生态系统完整性演变的驱动因子及其作用机理。结果表明:(1)滇池流域生态系统完整性先下降后上升,但整体有所降低,其中结构完整性明显降低、生态系统弹性显著减弱。(2)生态系统完整性在空间上呈中部低四周高的分布格局,完整性高的区域分布在城市外围的山体,靠近滇池北部的中心城区则较低;全流域36.24%的区域完整性降低、35.31%的区域升高。(3)生态系统完整性的时空变化受自然条件和人文社会经济等多种因素的共同影响,高程、气温和土地利用变化是主导因子,完整性与高程呈正相关,与气温呈负相关,但土地利用变化的影响具有双重性。研究结果可为流域生态系统完整性评估提供新思路,同时为滇池流域生态系统的管护提供科学依据。 展开更多

Assessment of Agricultural Soil Quality Indices Using Mechanistic Models

Assessing soil quality is a critical strategy for diagnosing soil status and anticipating concerns in land use systems for agricultural sustainability. Assessing soil quality is a critical strategy for diagnosing soil status and anticipating concerns in land use systems for agricultural sustainability. In this study, two soil quality assessment indices, the Integrated Quality Index (IQI) and Nemoro Quality Index (NQI), were employed using two indicator selection methods: Total Data Set (TDS) and Minimum Data Set (MDS), focusing on agricultural fields in Golestan province, Iran. A total of 89 soil samples were collected and analyzed for particle size distribution, organic carbon, calcium carbonate equivalent (CCE), electrical conductivity (EC), pH, and plant-essential nutrients, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, and iron. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to extract MDS from TDS, and geostatistical adaptation and correlation analyses were performed to determine the optimal soil quality evaluation index. Our results show that the exponential model better suits the spatial structure of soil quality indicators (IQIMDS: 0.955). Conformity and correlation analyses indicate that the IQI index outperformed the NQI index in estimating soil quality. The superiority of the TDS technique over the MDS technique in terms of accuracy (IQITDSs kappa: 0.155). Linear relationships between different methods showed a higher correlation coefficient (R2 = 0.43) through the application of IQI. This study suggests the use of IQIMDS to provide a reliable measurement that is particularly useful in assessing the quality of agricultural soil. 展开更多
