In contrast, traf...Transportation systems primarily depend on vehicular flow on roads. Developed coun-tries have shifted towards automated signal control, which manages and updates signal synchronisation automatically. In contrast, traffic in underdeveloped countries is mainly governed by manual traffic light systems. These existing manual systems lead to numerous issues, wasting substantial resources such as time, energy, and fuel, as they cannot make real‐time decisions. In this work, we propose an algorithm to determine traffic signal durations based on real‐time vehicle density, obtained from live closed circuit television camera feeds adjacent to traffic signals. The algorithm automates the traffic light system, making decisions based on vehicle density and employing Faster R‐CNN for vehicle detection. Additionally, we have created a local dataset from live streams of Punjab Safe City cameras in collaboration with the local police authority. The proposed algorithm achieves a class accuracy of 96.6% and a vehicle detection accuracy of 95.7%. Across both day and night modes, our proposed method maintains an average precision, recall, F1 score, and vehicle detection accuracy of 0.94, 0.98, 0.96 and 0.95, respectively. Our proposed work surpasses all evaluation metrics compared to state‐of‐the‐art methodologies.展开更多
An autonomous microgrid that runs on renewable energy sources is presented in this article.It has a supercon-ducting magnetic energy storage(SMES)device,wind energy-producing devices,and an energy storage battery.Howe...An autonomous microgrid that runs on renewable energy sources is presented in this article.It has a supercon-ducting magnetic energy storage(SMES)device,wind energy-producing devices,and an energy storage battery.However,because such microgrids are nonlinear and the energy they create varies with time,controlling and managing the energy inside them is a difficult issue.Fractional-order proportional integral(FOPI)controller is recommended for the current research to enhance a standalone microgrid’s energy management and performance.The suggested dedicated control for the SMES comprises two loops:the outer loop,which uses the FOPI to regulate the DC-link voltage,and the inner loop,responsible for regulating the SMES current,is constructed using the intelligent FOPI(iFOPI).The FOPI+iFOPI parameters are best developed using the dandelion optimizer(DO)approach to achieve the optimum performance.The suggested FOPI+iFOPI controller’s performance is contrasted with a conventional PI controller for variations in wind speed and microgrid load.The optimal FOPI+iFOPI controller manages the voltage and frequency of the load.The behavior of the microgrid as a reaction to step changes in load and wind speed was measured using the proposed controller.MATLAB simulations were used to evaluate the recommended system’s performance.The results of the simulations showed that throughout all interruptions,the recommended microgrid provided the load with AC power with a constant amplitude and frequency.In addition,the required load demand was accurately reduced.Furthermore,the microgrid functioned incredibly well despite SMES and varying wind speeds.Results obtained under identical conditions were compared with and without the best FOPI+iFOPI controller.When utilizing the optimal FOPI+iFOPI controller with SMES,it was found that the microgrid performed better than the microgrid without SMES.展开更多

The construction of the IICMMS-CP, the distributed network control system based on live intelligence control stations and the strategy of implementing distributed intelligence control system are studied in order to overcome the disadvantages brought about by the wide use of the PLC system by coaipreparation plants. The software frame, based on a Multi-Agent Intelligence Control and Maintenance Management integrated system, is studied and the implemention methods of IICMMS-CP are discussed. The characteristics of distributed architecture, cooperation and parallel computing meet the needs of integrated control of coal-preparation plants with large-scale spatial production distribution, densely-related processes and complex systems. Its application further improves the reliability and precision of process control, accuracy of fault identification and intelligence of production adjustment, establishes a technical basis for system integration and flexible production. The main function of the system has been tested in a coal-preparation plant to good effect in stabilizing product quality, improving efficiency and reducing consumption.展开更多

Since coordinative automatic control has been possible due to the recent advances in computers and communication networks, the hierarchical voltage control system, consisting of primary, secondary, and tertiary control, has been applied in several European countries. Recently the Korea power system has been operated more closely to stability limits because of rapid growth in load-demand as seen in Europe. For this reasons, Korea electric power corporation recognized the need of the voltage control system and developed the voltage control system. This paper presents an intelligent voltage control system for domestic power system using numerical algorithm based on the sensitivity matrix and the expert system. Dynamic characteristics of the developed system are investigated using EMTDC (electromagnetic transient DC analysis program) and RTDS (real time digital simulator). Through adjusting the on-off ratio of electric heating elements, the temperature in furnace is controlled accurately. This paper describes structure and qualities of the large-scale standing quench furnace briefly, introduces constitution of control system, and expounds principle and implementation of intelligent control algorithm. The applied results prove that the intelligent control system can completely satisfy the technological requirements. Namely, it can realize fast increasing temperature with a little overshoot, exact holding temperature, and well-distributed temperature in quench furnace. It has raised the output and quality of aluminum material, and brought the outstanding economic and social benefits.展开更多

The proposed control system combines the merits of intelligent control with DSP digital control. The fuzzy logic intelligent control system designed is a typical two-input-single-output structure, and regards the error and the change in error of peak arc voltage as two inputs and the background time as single output. The fuzzy logic intelligent control system is realized in a look-up table (LUT) method by using MATLAB based fuzzy logic toolbox, and the implement of LUT method based on DSP is also discussed. The pulsed MAG welding experimental results demonstrate that the developed fuzzy logic intelligent control system based on DSP has strong arc length controlling ability to accomplish the stable pulsed MAG welding process and controls pulsed MAG welding inverter digitally and intelligently.展开更多

The main circuit of the power source takes the structure of single ended inverter with two switches, and takes IGBTs as power switches. The working frequency of the inverter is set at 20 kHz. The control circuit takes PWM circuit as center, and uses single chip computer to complete the manage functions such as the control of working sequence, setting and changing of the welding parameters, sensing of the welding states and communication with outside computer etc. The dynamic reacting time of the whole power is 1 ms, the range of the output current is 5~250 A, the precision of the output current reaches to 1 A. The power strikes arc by contacting workpiece under 5 A, and have convenient interface with system computer. All above shows this power source is one with high performance.展开更多

The control combines a model-free fuzzy control, a fuzzy sliding-mode control and a model-based fuzzy control. The model-free fuzzy controller designed for the upswing ensures that the energy of the acrobot increases with each swing. Then the fuzzy sliding-mode controller is employed to control the movement that the acrobot enters the balance area from the swing-up area. The model-based fuzzy controller, which is based on a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model, is used to balance the acrobot. The stability of the fuzzy control system for balance control is guaranteed by a common symmetric positive matrix, which satisfies linear matrix inequalities.展开更多

It is assumed that the dynamics of a chaotic system are unknown and also the system is exposed to disturbance and unstructured uncertainty. To achieve a chattering-free and high-speed response for such an unknown system, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system is utilized in the next step to approximate the unknown part of the nonlinear dynamics. Then, the proposed integral terminal sliding mode controller stabilizes the approximated system based on Lyapunov's stability theory. In addition, a Bee algorithm is used to select the coefficients of integral terminal sliding mode controller to improve the performance of the proposed method. Simulation results demonstrate the improvement in the response speed, chattering rejection, transient response,and robustness against uncertainties.展开更多

In accordance with the climate conditions in northwest China, a set of intelligent control system for diversified environment of solar greenhouse was designed. The system divides the annual greenhouse control into six stages according to the optimal energy saving. It uses modern detection technology to collect the greenhouse environmental temperature, environmental humidity, soil humidity, CO_(2) concentration and illumination parameters under different working modes. It uses programmable logic control technology to realize the data processing of various parameters and the action control of rolling film, wet curtain fan and other actuators. It uses KingView monitoring software to realize the monitoring and manual control of greenhouse environment parameters. The operation results indicate that the control system runs stably and basically meets the control requirements.展开更多

Fuzzy expert systems can model fuzzy controllers, i.e., the knowledge representation and the abilities of making decisions corresponding to fuzzy expert systems are much more complicated that in the case of standard fuzzy controllers. The expert system acts also as a supervisor, creating meta-level reasoning on a set of fuzzy controllers, in order to choose the best one for the management of the process. Knowledge Management Systems (KMSs) is a new development paradigm of Intelligent Systems which has resulted from a synergy between fuzzy sets, artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, machine learning, etc., broadening computer science, physics, economics, engineering, mathematics. This paper presents, after a synergic new paradigm of intelligent systems, as a practical case study the fuzzy and temporal properties of knowledge formalism embedded in an ICS. We are not dealing high with level reasoning methods, because we think that real-time problems can only be solved by rather low-level reasoning. In order to realize intelligent control of flower greenhouse' s parameters of atmospheric temperature and humidity, lighting intensity, CO2 concentration and soil water content, it carries out design with ZigBee netw...In order to realize intelligent control of flower greenhouse' s parameters of atmospheric temperature and humidity, lighting intensity, CO2 concentration and soil water content, it carries out design with ZigBee network, embedded controller and intelligent fuzzy control algorithm as core. With advantages of high precision and stability, the design of sensor circuit mainly employs digital module sensors. In order to save energy, the sensor circuit is controlled by relay switch to work at the proper time. The gateway node is designed by employing high performance 32-digit embedded controller and WinCE6.0 embedded OS is self customized. And embedded SQlite database is realized on WinCE6.0 for effectively managing data. The closed loop control is realized by employing fuzzy control algorithm and the test result shows that the deviation of atmospheric temperature is controlled within ± 0.5° C, the deviation of illumination intensity is controlled within ± 283 LUX, the deviation of CO2 concentration is controlled within ± 24 PPM, the deviation of atmospheric humidity is controlled within ± 13% and that of soil water content is controlled within ± 0.9%, thus all parameters fully meet practical requirements of flower greenhouse.展开更多

This paper presents an intelligent voltage control system for domestic power system using numerical algorithm based on the sensitivity matrix and the expert system. Dynamic characteristics of the developed system are investigated using EMTDC (electromagnetic transient DC analysis program) and RTDS (real time digital simulator). Several case studies showed the promising performance.

文摘In recent years,the global surge of High-speed Railway(HSR)revolutionized ground transportation,providing secure,comfortable,and punctual services.The next-gen HSR,fueled by emerging services like video surveillance,emergency communication,and real-time scheduling,demands advanced capabilities in real-time perception,automated driving,and digitized services,which accelerate the integration and application of Artificial Intelligence(AI)in the HSR system.This paper first provides a brief overview of AI,covering its origin,evolution,and breakthrough applications.A comprehensive review is then given regarding the most advanced AI technologies and applications in three macro application domains of the HSR system:mechanical manufacturing and electrical control,communication and signal control,and transportation management.The literature is categorized and compared across nine application directions labeled as intelligent manufacturing of trains and key components,forecast of railroad maintenance,optimization of energy consumption in railroads and trains,communication security,communication dependability,channel modeling and estimation,passenger scheduling,traffic flow forecasting,high-speed railway smart platform.Finally,challenges associated with the application of AI are discussed,offering insights for future research directions.

文摘Considering some characteristics of large-scale standing quench furnace, such as great heat inertia, evident time lag, strong coupling influence, hard to establish exact mathematical models of plant and etc, an artificial intelligent fuzzy control algorithm is put forward in this paper. Through adjusting the on-off ratio of electric heating elements, the temperature in furnace is controlled accurately. This paper describes structure and qualities of the large-scale standing quench furnace briefly, introduces constitution of control system, and expounds principle and implementation of intelligent control algorithm. The applied results prove that the intelligent control system can completely satisfy the technological requirements. Namely, it can realize fast increasing temperature with a little overshoot, exact holding temperature, and well-distributed temperature in quench furnace. It has raised the output and quality of aluminum material, and brought the outstanding economic and social benefits.

文摘A fuzzy logic intelligent control system of pulsed MAG welding inverter based on digital signal processor (DSP) is proposed to obtain the consistency of arc length in pulsed MAG welding. The proposed control system combines the merits of intelligent control with DSP digital control. The fuzzy logic intelligent control system designed is a typical two-input-single-output structure, and regards the error and the change in error of peak arc voltage as two inputs and the background time as single output. The fuzzy logic intelligent control system is realized in a look-up table (LUT) method by using MATLAB based fuzzy logic toolbox, and the implement of LUT method based on DSP is also discussed. The pulsed MAG welding experimental results demonstrate that the developed fuzzy logic intelligent control system based on DSP has strong arc length controlling ability to accomplish the stable pulsed MAG welding process and controls pulsed MAG welding inverter digitally and intelligently.
文摘The autonomous mobile robotics system designed and implemented for indoor environment navigation is a nonholonomic differential drive system with two driving wheels mounted on the same axis driven by two PID controlled motors and two caster wheels mounted in the front and back respectively. It is furnished with multiple kinds of sensors such as IR detectors, ultrasonic sensors, laser line generators and cameras, constituting a perceiving system for exploring its surroundings. Its computation source is a simultaneously running system composed of multiprocessor with multitask and multiprocessing programming. Hybrid control architecture is employed on the mobile robot to perform complex tasks. The mobile robot system is implemented at the Center for Intelligent Design, Automation and Manufacturing of City University of Hong Kong.
文摘This paper analyses the performance request of arc welding power source used in intelligent control of weld pool shape in pulsed GTAW, and develops a sample power source. The main circuit of the power source takes the structure of single ended inverter with two switches, and takes IGBTs as power switches. The working frequency of the inverter is set at 20 kHz. The control circuit takes PWM circuit as center, and uses single chip computer to complete the manage functions such as the control of working sequence, setting and changing of the welding parameters, sensing of the welding states and communication with outside computer etc. The dynamic reacting time of the whole power is 1 ms, the range of the output current is 5~250 A, the precision of the output current reaches to 1 A. The power strikes arc by contacting workpiece under 5 A, and have convenient interface with system computer. All above shows this power source is one with high performance.

文摘This paper elaborates the design and development of the intelligent security system based on the public switch telephone network.The system includes two parts:security detection emission,and radio reception and signal process connected to the phone line with the telephone set at home or in the office.The core of radio reception and signal process is Micro Control Unit,which, in coordination with other peripheral circuits such as telephone line interface,signaling tone detection,dual tone multi-frequency(DTMF)reception and emission,and voice notification,informs the subscriber of the alarm via voice through Public Switch Telephone Network(PSTN).In addition,the subscriber can easily modify telephone numbers stored in the system.
文摘This paper describes an intelligent integrated control of an acrobot, which is an underactuated mechanical system with second-order nonholonomic constraints. The control combines a model-free fuzzy control, a fuzzy sliding-mode control and a model-based fuzzy control. The model-free fuzzy controller designed for the upswing ensures that the energy of the acrobot increases with each swing. Then the fuzzy sliding-mode controller is employed to control the movement that the acrobot enters the balance area from the swing-up area. The model-based fuzzy controller, which is based on a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model, is used to balance the acrobot. The stability of the fuzzy control system for balance control is guaranteed by a common symmetric positive matrix, which satisfies linear matrix inequalities.
文摘An integral terminal sliding mode controller is proposed in order to control chaos in a rod-type plasma torch system.In this method, a new sliding surface is defined based on a combination of the conventional sliding surface in terminal sliding mode control and a nonlinear function of the integral of the system states. It is assumed that the dynamics of a chaotic system are unknown and also the system is exposed to disturbance and unstructured uncertainty. To achieve a chattering-free and high-speed response for such an unknown system, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system is utilized in the next step to approximate the unknown part of the nonlinear dynamics. Then, the proposed integral terminal sliding mode controller stabilizes the approximated system based on Lyapunov's stability theory. In addition, a Bee algorithm is used to select the coefficients of integral terminal sliding mode controller to improve the performance of the proposed method. Simulation results demonstrate the improvement in the response speed, chattering rejection, transient response,and robustness against uncertainties.

文摘Intelligent greenhouse can promote the development of modern agriculture, realize the high quality and high yield of crops, and also bring greater economic benefits. In accordance with the climate conditions in northwest China, a set of intelligent control system for diversified environment of solar greenhouse was designed. The system divides the annual greenhouse control into six stages according to the optimal energy saving. It uses modern detection technology to collect the greenhouse environmental temperature, environmental humidity, soil humidity, CO_(2) concentration and illumination parameters under different working modes. It uses programmable logic control technology to realize the data processing of various parameters and the action control of rolling film, wet curtain fan and other actuators. It uses KingView monitoring software to realize the monitoring and manual control of greenhouse environment parameters. The operation results indicate that the control system runs stably and basically meets the control requirements.
文摘The development of the assistive abilities regarding the decision-making process o fan Intelligent Control System (ICS) like a fuzzy expert system implies the development of its functionality and its ability of specification. Fuzzy expert systems can model fuzzy controllers, i.e., the knowledge representation and the abilities of making decisions corresponding to fuzzy expert systems are much more complicated that in the case of standard fuzzy controllers. The expert system acts also as a supervisor, creating meta-level reasoning on a set of fuzzy controllers, in order to choose the best one for the management of the process. Knowledge Management Systems (KMSs) is a new development paradigm of Intelligent Systems which has resulted from a synergy between fuzzy sets, artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, machine learning, etc., broadening computer science, physics, economics, engineering, mathematics. This paper presents, after a synergic new paradigm of intelligent systems, as a practical case study the fuzzy and temporal properties of knowledge formalism embedded in an ICS. We are not dealing high with level reasoning methods, because we think that real-time problems can only be solved by rather low-level reasoning. Solving the match-time predictability problem would allow us to build much more powerful reasoning techniques.
文摘In order to realize intelligent control of flower greenhouse' s parameters of atmospheric temperature and humidity, lighting intensity, CO2 concentration and soil water content, it carries out design with ZigBee network, embedded controller and intelligent fuzzy control algorithm as core. With advantages of high precision and stability, the design of sensor circuit mainly employs digital module sensors. In order to save energy, the sensor circuit is controlled by relay switch to work at the proper time. The gateway node is designed by employing high performance 32-digit embedded controller and WinCE6.0 embedded OS is self customized. And embedded SQlite database is realized on WinCE6.0 for effectively managing data. The closed loop control is realized by employing fuzzy control algorithm and the test result shows that the deviation of atmospheric temperature is controlled within ± 0.5° C, the deviation of illumination intensity is controlled within ± 283 LUX, the deviation of CO2 concentration is controlled within ± 24 PPM, the deviation of atmospheric humidity is controlled within ± 13% and that of soil water content is controlled within ± 0.9%, thus all parameters fully meet practical requirements of flower greenhouse.

Our research combines the multi-agent technique to propose the new paradigm for mechanical and electrical integration which is innovative.
