For biological treatment system, pH is an important environmental factor that can influence the activity of microorganisms. In general, the optimal pH for aerobic processes is around neutral pH (7_7.8) and for the anaerobic process is between 6.8_7.2. The control of pH is a difficult link in the biological treatment system due to its nonlinearity and large time-delay. Aiming at the difficult point in the pH control of the biological wastewater treatment system, a mathematical model of pH control is estab-lished in the essay. On this basis, a traditional PID control and a cascade control are adopted to carry out simulation and comparison with MATLAB. The results show that the cascade control has better comprehen-sive effect in terms of response speed, stability and disturbance resistance.展开更多

In such a case, at first, each subsystem is distinctively represented by its model, since the outcomes point out that the chosen models have the same behavior as corresponding ones. Then, the industrial multivariable system and its presentation are achieved in line with the integration of these subsystems, since the interaction between them can not actually be ignored. To analyze the interaction presented, the Gershgorin bands need to be acquired, where the results are used to modify the system parameters to appropriate values. Subsequently, in the view of modeling results, the control concept in two different techniques including sequential loop closing control(SLCC) scheme and diagonal dominance control(DDC) schemes is proposed to implement on the system through the Profibus network, as long as the OPC(OLE for process control) server is utilized to communicate between the control schemes presented and the multivariable system. The real test scenarios are carried out and the corresponding outcomes in their present forms are acquired. In the same way, the proposed control schemes results are compared with each other, where the real consequences verify the validity of them in the field of the presented industrial multivariable system control.展开更多

At first, a dimer of hydrophobic drug 6-mercaptopurine and a hydrophilic β-CD grafted carboxymethyl chitosan were synthesized. Then, a novel amphiphilic inclusion complex was prepared with the dimer being partially embedded into the cavity of β-CD moiety. It self-assembled into pH/redox responsive core-shell micelles in distilled water. TEM confirmed that the micelles possessed a spherical core-shell configuration with a mean size of about 160 nm. DLS showed that the micelles were stable in aqueous solution. Their particle diameters altered with pH values as well as glutathione (GSH) concentrations and respectively attained a maximum value at pH 6.0 and 20 mM GSH. Release profiles of 6-mercaptopurine showed a low release rate (about 27 wt% after 48 h) in pH 7.4 medium with 10 μM GSH, and a marked increase (over 88 wt% after 48 h) in pH 5.0 medium with 20 mM GSH. In vitro cytotoxicity test showed that the micelles had a dose-dependent toxicity for HeLa cells, indicating a great potential for controlled release of 6-mercaptopurine in tumor cells.展开更多

Results showed that electrokinetic process and remediation efficiency varied obviously when different buffer systems, including citric acid (test 1), nitric acid + EDTA (test 2) and nitric acid (test 3), were used to control catholyte pH and Na_2CO_3 was used at the same time to control all anolyte one. It was found that under such pH condition soil′s pH in soil column kept at 3.0—7.0 successfully, and correspondingly no copper precipitation and decrease of soil electroconductivity appeared, which are usually observed in electrokinetic process due to OH - introduction into soil column by electrochemical reaction occurred in cathode. Electroosmosis flow rates were almost equal for these three tests, indicating that these buffers did not affect Zeta-potential of kaolinite within the examined duration. More acid and basic solution was added into electrokinetic cell when nitric acid was used as buffer than when nitric acid + EDTA and then citric acid were used. Due to introduction of large amounts of ions into soil column, significant higher current was observed for test 3 than other two. Analysis of copper speciation and total quantity in kaolinite indicated that 22.5%, 23.74% and 55.65% Cu were removed from kaolinite for test 1, test 2 and test 3 respectively after only 10 days′ electrokinetic remediation.展开更多

The maximum biomass(2.23 g/L) and flocculating activity(142.2 U/mL) were simultaneously obtained at the 14th hour when the pH value of the culture medium was maintained at 7.0 during the whole fermentation process. The production of REA-11 kept on a trend of increase till the later phase of fermentation process, which resulted in the ultimate flocculating activity of the culture broth to enhance to nearly 100 U/mL at pH 6.0. A two-stage pH control mode was adopted in REA-11 production in which the pH value of the culture medium was controlled at 7.0 during the first 14 h, then decreased to 6.0 that was maintained until the end of the fermentation process. With the two-stage pH control mode, the maximum flocculating activity reached 178.8 U/mL which was 30% higher than that obtained under the condition of pH 7.0 and the biomass enhanced about 15%. Compared with the fermentation process without pH control, REA-11 production and cell growth via the two-stage pH control mode increased 80% and 25%, respectively.展开更多

Evidence from multiple sources has confirmed increases in vegetation growth in the BTSSCP region since the initiation of this project. Precipitation and essential climate variable-soil moisture (ECV-SM) conditions are typically considered to be the main drivers of vegetation growth in this region. Although many studies have investigated the inter-annual variations of vegetation growth, few concerns have been focused on the annual and seasonal variations of vegetation growth and their climatic drivers, which are crucial for understanding the relationships among the climate, vegetation, and human activities at the regional scale. Based on the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) derived from MODIS and the corresponding climatic data, we explored the responses of vegetation growth to climatic factors at annual and seasonal scales in the BTSSCP region during the period 2000–2014. Over the study region as a whole, NDVI generally increased from 2000 to 2014, at a rate of 0.002/a. Vegetation growth is stimulated mainly by the elevated temperature in spring, whereas precipitation is the leading driver of summer greening. In autumn, positive effects of both temperature and precipitation on vegetation growth were observed. The warming in spring promotes vegetation growth but reduces ECV-SM. Summer greening has a strong cooling effect on land surface temperature. These results indicate that the ecological and environmental consequences of ecological restoration projects should be comprehensively evaluated.展开更多

In this paper, the model algorithmic control (MAC) strategy is extended to nonlinear processes using Hammerstein model that consists of a static nonlinear polynomial function followed in series by a linear impulse response dynamic element. A new nonlinear Hammerstein MAC algorithm (named NLH-MAC) is presented in detail. The simulation control results of a pH neutralization process show that NLH-MAC gives better control performance than linear MAC and the commonly used industrial nonlinear propotional plus integral plus derivative (PID) controller. Further simulation experiment demonstrates that NLH-MAC not only gives good control response, but also possesses good stability and robustness even with large modeling errors.展开更多

Compared with TPP crosslinked chitosan particles, the two-step crosslinked nanoparticles were not only pH-responsive but also more stable in wide pH range. Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) labeled anti-human-IgG antibody was used as a model protein drug for evaluating the control release profile of the nano-carrier. The amount of released antibody increased from 5.6% to 50% when the pH of solution shifted from 7.4 to 6.0. The results suggest the possible application of the nanoparticles as pH- responsive drug delivery materials.展开更多

It has been reported that the interfacial DMI originating from Rashba spin–orbit coupling(SOC) can be linearly tuned with strong external electric fields. In this work, we experimentally demonstrate that the strength of DMI exhibits rapid fluctuations, ranging from 10% to 30% of its original value, as a function of applied electric fields in Pt/Co/MgO heterostructures within the small field regime(< 10-2V/nm). Brillouin light scattering(BLS) experiments have been performed to measure DMI, and first-principles calculations show agreement with this observation, which can be explained by the variation in orbital hybridization at the Co/MgO interface in response to the weak electric fields. Our results on voltage control of DMI(VCDMI) suggest that research related to the voltage control of magnetic anisotropy for spin–orbit torque or the motion control of skyrmions might also have to consider the role of the external electric field on DMI as small voltages are generally used for the magnetoresistance detection.展开更多

文摘Gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)is a natural non-protein functio nal amino acid, which has potential for fermentation industrial production by Lactobacillus brevis. This work investigated the batch fermentation process and developed a kinetic model based on substrate restrictive model established by experimental data from L25(5~6)orthogonal experiments. In this study, the OD600 value of fermentation broth was fixed to constant after reaching its maximum because the microorganism death showed no effect on the enzyme activity of glutamate decarboxylase(GAD).As pH is one of the key parameters in fermentation process,a pH-dependent kinetic model based on radial basis function was developed to enhance the practicality of the model.Furthermore,as to decrease the deviations between the simulated curves and the experimental data, the rolling correction strategy with OD600 values that was measured in real-time was introduced into this work to modify the model. Finally, the accu racy of the rolling corrected and pH-dependent model was validated by good fitness between the simulated curves and data of the initial batch fermentation(pH 5.2).As a result, this pH-dependent kinetic model revealed that the optimal pH for biomass growth is 5.6-5.7 and for GABA production is about 5,respectively.Therefore,the developed model is practical and convenient for the instruction of GABA fermentation production, and it has instructive significance for the industrial scale.
文摘pH-responsive-chitosan nanoparticles for the control release of protein drug were prepared by combining two-step crosslinking method, in which chitosan was subsequently crosslinked by sodium tripolyphosphate (TPP) and glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS). The results suggest the possible application of the nanoparticles as pH- responsive drug delivery materials.
文摘As an important mechanism in multi-agent interaction, communication can make agents form complex team relationships rather than constitute a simple set of multiple independent agents. However, the existing communication schemes can bring much timing redundancy and irrelevant messages, which seriously affects their practical application. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a targeted multiagent communication algorithm based on state control(SCTC).The SCTC uses a gating mechanism based on state control to reduce the timing redundancy of communication between agents and determines the interaction relationship between agents and the importance weight of a communication message through a series connection of hard-and self-attention mechanisms, realizing targeted communication message processing. In addition,by minimizing the difference between the fusion message generated from a real communication message of each agent and a fusion message generated from the buffered message, the correctness of the final action choice of the agent is ensured. Our evaluation using a challenging set of Star Craft II benchmarks indicates that the SCTC can significantly improve the learning performance and reduce the communication overhead between agents, thus ensuring better cooperation between agents.

文摘Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction(DMI) is under extensive investigation considering its crucial status in chiral magnetic orders, such as Néel-type domain wall(DW) and skyrmions. Our results on voltage control of DMI(VCDMI) suggest that research related to the voltage control of magnetic anisotropy for spin–orbit torque or the motion control of skyrmions might also have to consider the role of the external electric field on DMI as small voltages are generally used for the magnetoresistance detection.
