In the next few years traffic will happen most of the time.This was triggered by the growing rate of vehicles against the road capacity which is not balance.All the time the congestion in the city of Semarang has been...In the next few years traffic will happen most of the time.This was triggered by the growing rate of vehicles against the road capacity which is not balance.All the time the congestion in the city of Semarang has been occurred at peak hours.Congestion also occurred in between Teuku Umar and Setia Budi road Jatingaleh because of a plot intersection(Kesatrian intersection,PLN intersection and Jatingaleh intersection)with the Toll Road.Jatingaleh is located in the southern city of Semarang which is a central meeting point between the upper and lower Semarang where the vehicle flows in through a combination of local current and regional traffic,and the flow of vehicles coming in and out from highway.The main cause of the problems that occurred in the area of Jatingaleh is due to the numbers of vehicles movement that occurs at the intersections.With the above issues,it is necessary to analyse the existing conditions and look into some solutions.Before carrying out an analysis a field surveys at peak hours for example morning(06:00 to 08:00 am)and for the afternoon(04:00 to 06:00 pm)should be conducted,then the number of vehicles is counted manually with“short-breakcounting”according to types of vehicles.From the analysis we found that the degree of saturation(DS)is 1.61 between Teuku Umar and Setia Budi road during the morning peak hours and 1.56 during the afternoon peak hours.This means that the capacity of the existing road is no longer able to accommodate the traffic flow.One of the solutions for the congestion that occurs at the intersection of Jatingaleh is to apply the efficiency of the intersection that is not in a plot with a Fly over,Underpass and the combination of Fly Over-Underpass.Base on the flow reduction calculation with 3 comparative modeling it shows that the Fly Over is the most technically efficient to be applied in this research.展开更多

The biological ma...In some non-human primates, infants function as a social tool that can bridge relationships among group members. Infants are a desired commodity for group members, and mothers control access to them. The biological market theory suggests that grooming is widespread and represents a commodity that can be exchanged for infant handling. As a limited resource, however, the extent to which infants are interchanged between mothers(females with an infant) and non-mothers(potential handlers,females without an infant) remains unclear. In this study, we collected behavioral data to investigate the relationship between grooming and infant handling in free-ranging Tibetan macaques(Macaca thibetana)at Mt. Huangshan, China. Our results showed that females with infants received more grooming than females without infants. After her infant was handled,mother females received more grooming than they did during daily grooming interactions. However, with the increasing number of infants within the social group, both the grooming that mothers received and the grooming that non-mothers invested for handling infants decreased. We also found that non-mothers invested more time in grooming to gain access to younger infants than older infants. Our results provide evidence that infants are social commodities for both mother and non-mother females. Mothers use infants for obtain grooming and non-mothers use grooming to gain access to infants. The current study implies a bidirectional and complex interchange pattern between grooming and infant handling to compensate for the dyadic grooming disparity in non-human primates.展开更多

The model was applied to the systems such as KCl H 2O NaCl, MCl H 2O M′Cl 2 (M represents Na and K, M′ represents Ca and Ba) and KCl H 2O NaCl BaCl 2 with satisfying results. Simulation models require considerable effort to collect volumes and to model actual controller operations. Safety studies based on historical crashes usually require from 3 to 5 years of data collection. ATSPMs rely on sensing equipment. This study describes the use of connected vehicle trajectory data to analyze the performance of a DDI located in the metropolitan area of Fort Wayne, IN. An extension of the Purdue Probe Diagram (PPD) is proposed to assess the levels of delay, progression, and saturation. Further, an additional PPD variation is presented that provides a convenient visualization to qualitatively understand progression patterns and to evaluate queue length for spillback in the critical interior crossover. Over 7000 trajectories and 130,000 GPS points were analyzed between the 7</span><sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;">th</span></sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> and the 11</span><sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;">th</span></sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> of June 2021 from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM to estimate the DDI’s arrivals on green, level of service, split failures, and downstream blockage. Most of the techniques to evaluate the performance of diamond interchanges rely on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), simul...Diamond interchanges are frequently used where a freeway intersects a two-way surface street. Most of the techniques to evaluate the performance of diamond interchanges rely on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), simulation, Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPMs), and historical crash data. HCM and simulation techniques require on-site data collection to obtain models’ inputs. ATSPMs need high-resolution controller event data acquired from roadway sensing equipment. Safety studies typically need 3 to 5 years of crash data to provide statistically significant results. This study utilizes commercially available connected vehicle (CV) data to assess the performance and operation of a three- and four-phase diamond interchange located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dallas, Texas, respectively. Over 92,000 trajectories and 1,400,000 GPS points are analyzed from August 2020 weekdays CV data. Trajectories are linear-referenced to generate Purdue Probe Diagrams (PPDs) from which arrivals on green (AOG), split failures, downstream blockage, and movement-based control delay are estimated. In addition, an extension of the PPD is presented that characterizes the complete journey of a vehicle travelling through both signals of the diamond interchange. This enhanced PPD is a significant contribution as it provides an analytical framework and graphical summary of the operational characteristics of how the external movements traverse the entire system. The four-phase control showed high internal progression (99% AOG) compared to the moderate internal progression of the three-phase operation (64% AOG). This is consistent with the design objectives of three- and four-phase control models, but historically these quantitative AOG measures were not possible to obtain with just detector data. Additionally, a graphical summary that illustrates the spatial distribution of hard-braking and hard-acceleration events is also provided. The presented techniques can be used by any agency to evaluate the performance of their diamond interchanges without on-site data collection or capital investments in sensing infrastructure.展开更多

AIMTo investigate the difference of macular thickness measurements between stratus optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Cirrus OCT (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Dublin, CA, USA) in the same myopic patient and to develop a co...AIMTo investigate the difference of macular thickness measurements between stratus optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Cirrus OCT (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Dublin, CA, USA) in the same myopic patient and to develop a conversion equation to interchange macular thickness obtained with these two OCT devices.METHODSEighty-nine healthy Chinese adults with spherical equivalent (SE) ranging from -1.13 D to -9.63 D were recruited. The macular thickness was measured by Cirrus OCT and Stratus OCT. The correlation between macular thickness and axial length and the agreement between two OCT measurements were evaluated. A formula was generated to interchange macular thickness obtained with two OCT devices.RESULTSAverage macular thickness measured with Stratus OCT (r=-0.280, P=0.008) and Cirrus OCT (r=-0.224, P=0.034) were found to be negatively correlated with axial length. No statistically significant correlation was found between axial length and central subfield macular thickness (CMT) measured with Stratus OCT (r=0.191, P=0.073) and Cirrus OCT (r=0.169, P=0.113). The mean CMT measured with Cirrus OCT was 53.63±7.94 µm thicker than with Stratus OCT. The formula CMT<sub>Cirrus OCT</sub>=78.328+0.874×CMT<sub>Stratus OCT</sub> was generated to interchange macular thickness obtained with two OCT devices.CONCLUSIONMacular thickness measured with Cirrus OCT were thicker than with Stratus OCT in myopic eyes. A formula can be used to interchange macular thickness measured with two OCT devices in myopic eyes. Studies with different OCT devices and larger samples are warranted to enable the comparison of macular values measured with different OCT devices.展开更多

To determine the best platform, a comparison between electronic data interchange (EDI) and web services was conducted depending on certain criteria, and then we match the results with the information reach and range. The main findings show that the web services platform can take place when the range of information access is required by anyone and anywhere regardless of IT base. EDI can take place when the range of information access doesn’t exceed the organizations’ boundaries. But when the range of information access exceeds the organizations’ boundaries, still between certain partners, web services or EDI can take place, and thus the organization can select them from those platforms depending on other criteria such as security, and cost.展开更多

文摘We have reviewed a set of recently published studies that compared the anterior chamber depth(ACD) and/or white-to-white(WTW) distance obtained by means of different measuring devices.Since some of those studies reached contradictory conclusions regarding device interchangeability,this review was carried out in attempting to clarify which clinical devices can or cannot be considered as interchangeable in clinical practice to measure ACD and/or WTW distance,among these devices:A-scan,ultrasound biomicroscopy,Orbscan and Orbscan Ⅱ(Bausch&Lomb Surgical Inc.,San Dimas,California,USA),Pentacam and Pentacam HR(Oculus,Wetzlar,Germany),Galilei(Ziemer,Switzerland),Visante optical coherence tomography(Visante OCT,Carl Zeiss Meditec Inc.,Dublin,California,USA),lOLMaster(Carl Zeiss Meditec,Jena,Germany),and Lenstar LS 900/Biograph(Haag-Streit AG,Koeniz,Switzerland/Alcon Laboratories Inc.,Ft Worth,Texas,USA).
文摘A simplified subregular solution model was developed for describing the activities of MgCl 2 in both KCl MgCl 2 LiCl and CaCl 2 MgCl 2 NaCl systems on the assumption that the electrolytes in the solution are treated as independent particles in stead of their ion forms and the interchange energy between the KCl LiCl (or CaCl 2 NaCl) pair is ignored as compared to those of the KCl MgCl 2(or CaCl 2 MgCl 2) and MgCl 2 LiCl (or MgCl 2 NaCl) pairs. The calculating results on the model agree with the observed very well.
文摘In order to calculate the activity coefficients of water in aqueous solution of metal electrolytes, a simplified model predicting them in ternary or multicomponent solutions with common anions from the activity data of water of the corresponding binary systems has been developed based on an assumption that the electrolytes in the solution are treated as independent particles instead of their ion forms, and the interaction of the salt( i ) salt( j ) pair in the solution is assumed to be much weaker than that of water salt pair due to the common anions of both of salts. The model was applied to the systems such as KCl H 2O NaCl, MCl H 2O M′Cl 2 (M represents Na and K, M′ represents Ca and Ba) and KCl H 2O NaCl BaCl 2 with satisfying results. The interchange energies of the studied component pairs between water and salts have also been determined by the corresponding binary aqueous solutions.
文摘Since the first Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) implementation in 2009, most of the performance studies developed for this type of interchange have been based on simulations and historical crash data, with a small numbe<span style="font-family:Verdana;">r of studies using Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATS</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">PM). Simulation models require considerable effort to collect volumes and to model actual controller operations. Safety studies based on historical crashes usually require from 3 to 5 years of data collection. ATSPMs rely on sensing equipment. This study describes the use of connected vehicle trajectory data to analyze the performance of a DDI located in the metropolitan area of Fort Wayne, IN. An extension of the Purdue Probe Diagram (PPD) is proposed to assess the levels of delay, progression, and saturation. Further, an additional PPD variation is presented that provides a convenient visualization to qualitatively understand progression patterns and to evaluate queue length for spillback in the critical interior crossover. Over 7000 trajectories and 130,000 GPS points were analyzed between the 7</span><sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;">th</span></sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> and the 11</span><sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;">th</span></sup><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> of June 2021 from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM to estimate the DDI’s arrivals on green, level of service, split failures, and downstream blockage. Although this technique was demonstrated for weekdays, the ubiquity of connected vehicle data makes it very ea</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">sy to adapt these techniques to analysis during special events, winter sto</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">rms, and weekends. Furthermore, the methodologies presented in this paper can be applied by any agency wanting to assess the performance of any DDI in their jurisdiction.</span>
文摘Diamond interchanges are frequently used where a freeway intersects a two-way surface street. Most of the techniques to evaluate the performance of diamond interchanges rely on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), simulation, Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPMs), and historical crash data. HCM and simulation techniques require on-site data collection to obtain models’ inputs. ATSPMs need high-resolution controller event data acquired from roadway sensing equipment. Safety studies typically need 3 to 5 years of crash data to provide statistically significant results. This study utilizes commercially available connected vehicle (CV) data to assess the performance and operation of a three- and four-phase diamond interchange located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dallas, Texas, respectively. Over 92,000 trajectories and 1,400,000 GPS points are analyzed from August 2020 weekdays CV data. Trajectories are linear-referenced to generate Purdue Probe Diagrams (PPDs) from which arrivals on green (AOG), split failures, downstream blockage, and movement-based control delay are estimated. In addition, an extension of the PPD is presented that characterizes the complete journey of a vehicle travelling through both signals of the diamond interchange. This enhanced PPD is a significant contribution as it provides an analytical framework and graphical summary of the operational characteristics of how the external movements traverse the entire system. The four-phase control showed high internal progression (99% AOG) compared to the moderate internal progression of the three-phase operation (64% AOG). This is consistent with the design objectives of three- and four-phase control models, but historically these quantitative AOG measures were not possible to obtain with just detector data. Additionally, a graphical summary that illustrates the spatial distribution of hard-braking and hard-acceleration events is also provided. The presented techniques can be used by any agency to evaluate the performance of their diamond interchanges without on-site data collection or capital investments in sensing infrastructure.

文摘In order to take precaution and cure against intemet of vehicles (IOV) worm propagation in expressway, the IOV worm propagation and its corresponding anti-worm strategy were studied in expressway interchange terminal. According to omnirange driving in expressway interchange terminal and vehicular mobile communication environment, an IOV worm propagation model is constructed; and then according to the dynamic propagation law and destructiveness of IOV worm in this environment, a novel hybrid anti-worm strategy for confrontation is designed. This worm propagation model can factually simulates the IOV worm propagation in this interchange terminal environment; and this hybrid anti-worm strategy can effectively control IOV worm propagation in the environment, moreover, it can reduce the influence on network resource overhead.

文摘AIMTo investigate the difference of macular thickness measurements between stratus optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Cirrus OCT (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Dublin, CA, USA) in the same myopic patient and to develop a conversion equation to interchange macular thickness obtained with these two OCT devices.METHODSEighty-nine healthy Chinese adults with spherical equivalent (SE) ranging from -1.13 D to -9.63 D were recruited. The macular thickness was measured by Cirrus OCT and Stratus OCT. The correlation between macular thickness and axial length and the agreement between two OCT measurements were evaluated. A formula was generated to interchange macular thickness obtained with two OCT devices.RESULTSAverage macular thickness measured with Stratus OCT (r=-0.280, P=0.008) and Cirrus OCT (r=-0.224, P=0.034) were found to be negatively correlated with axial length. No statistically significant correlation was found between axial length and central subfield macular thickness (CMT) measured with Stratus OCT (r=0.191, P=0.073) and Cirrus OCT (r=0.169, P=0.113). The mean CMT measured with Cirrus OCT was 53.63±7.94 µm thicker than with Stratus OCT. The formula CMT<sub>Cirrus OCT</sub>=78.328+0.874×CMT<sub>Stratus OCT</sub> was generated to interchange macular thickness obtained with two OCT devices.CONCLUSIONMacular thickness measured with Cirrus OCT were thicker than with Stratus OCT in myopic eyes. A formula can be used to interchange macular thickness measured with two OCT devices in myopic eyes. Studies with different OCT devices and larger samples are warranted to enable the comparison of macular values measured with different OCT devices.
文摘Organizations tend to use information systems (IS) applications that require data to be exchanged between different parties, while data exchange is restricted with information reach and range, which determines the organizations’ IT platform. To determine the best platform, a comparison between electronic data interchange (EDI) and web services was conducted depending on certain criteria, and then we match the results with the information reach and range. The main findings show that the web services platform can take place when the range of information access is required by anyone and anywhere regardless of IT base. EDI can take place when the range of information access doesn’t exceed the organizations’ boundaries. But when the range of information access exceeds the organizations’ boundaries, still between certain partners, web services or EDI can take place, and thus the organization can select them from those platforms depending on other criteria such as security, and cost.
