It is a challenge to polish the interior surface of an additively manufactured component with complex structures and groove sizes less than 1 mm.Traditional polishing methods are disabled to polish the component,meanw...It is a challenge to polish the interior surface of an additively manufactured component with complex structures and groove sizes less than 1 mm.Traditional polishing methods are disabled to polish the component,meanwhile keeping the structure intact.To overcome this challenge,small-grooved components made of aluminum alloy with sizes less than 1 mm were fabricated by a custom-made printer.A novel approach to multi-phase jet(MPJ)polishing is proposed,utilizing a self-developed polisher that incorporates solid,liquid,and gas phases.In contrast,abrasive air jet(AAJ)polishing is recommended,employing a customized polisher that combines solid and gas phases.After jet polishing,surface roughness(Sa)on the interior surface of grooves decreases from pristine 8.596μm to 0.701μm and 0.336μm via AAJ polishing and MPJ polishing,respectively,and Sa reduces 92%and 96%,correspondingly.Furthermore,a formula defining the relationship between linear energy density and unit defect volume has been developed.The optimized parameters in additive manufacturing are that linear energy density varies from 0.135 J mm^(-1)to 0.22 J mm^(-1).The unit area defect volume achieved via the optimized parameters decreases to 1/12 of that achieved via non-optimized ones.Computational fluid dynamics simulation results reveal that material is removed by shear stress,and the alumina abrasives experience multiple collisions with the defects on the heat pipe groove,resulting in uniform material removal.This is in good agreement with the experimental results.The novel proposed setups,approach,and findings provide new insights into manufacturing complex-structured components,polishing the small-grooved structure,and keeping it unbroken.展开更多
Fault zones have always drawn attention from the industry,and the performance of a quantitative interpretation of the fault interior structure on seismic data has remained as a big challenge.In this work,we focus on q...Fault zones have always drawn attention from the industry,and the performance of a quantitative interpretation of the fault interior structure on seismic data has remained as a big challenge.In this work,we focus on quantitatively populating the heterogeneity of the fault interior structure in a three-dimensional space on seismic data.To realize this goal,we take the South Wuerxun sub-depression in Hailar Basin as an example of a faulted basin.First,based on a heterogeneity analysis using the drilling and logging information from wells,we establish fault zone geologic models and perform seismic forward modeling to determine the relationship between different fault zone models with different fault dips,internal fillings,and P wave responses.Next,the fault interior structure index(FIS)is constructed,and the response features on the FIS from the fault facies and the host rock are observed.Finally,the FIS is applied to perform the quantitative interpretation and prediction of the heterogeneity in the FIS on seismic data.The results show that the FIS response from the fault zone is higher than that of the host rock in plane,indicating that the former is quantitatively separated from the surrounding host rocks.The FIS values greater than 26 represent the feedback from the fault facies,whereas those less than 26 represent the response from the host rocks.The FIS shows segmented features in the strike,banded in dip on plane.On the slip surface,the FIS indicates the shale smear zone and the location where low-graded and small-scaled faults are densely developed.The heterogeneity prediction result is proven by oil and gas exploration activities.The study results imply that the FIS could indicate a favorable path of the hydrocarbon migration in the fault zone and evaluate the fault sealing parts.The method can explore the quantitative characterization of fault facies and has essential popularization and application values in similar geological application fields,including hydrocarbon exploration,development of faulted reservoirs,and geological engineering evaluation related to faults.展开更多

When designing and optimizing the hull of vehicles,their sound quality needs to be considered,which greatly depends on the psychoacoustic parameters.However,the traditional psychoacoustic calculation method does not c...When designing and optimizing the hull of vehicles,their sound quality needs to be considered,which greatly depends on the psychoacoustic parameters.However,the traditional psychoacoustic calculation method does not consider the influence of the real human ear anatomic structure,even the loudness which is most related to the auditory periphery.In order to introduce the real physiological structure of the human ear into the evaluation of vehicle sound quality,this paper first carried out the vehicle internal noise test to obtain the experimental samples.Then,the physiological loudness was predicted based on an established human ear physiological model,and the noise evaluation vector was constructed by combining the remaining four psychoacoustic parameters.Finally,the evaluation vector was fitted into the subjective evaluation results of vehicle interior noise by a deep neural network.The results show that our proposed method can estimate the human subjective perception of vehicle interior noise well.展开更多
