The criteria of fracture ...The fracture of materials under the action of compressive forces, directed along cracks which are parallel in plane can,lot be described within the framework of the linear fracture mechanics. The criteria of fracture of the Griffith-Irvin or COC type, used in classical linear fracture mechanics, are not applicable in this problem, since these forces have no influence on stress intensity coefficients and on values of cracks opening([1, 2]). The problems of such a class may be described only by using new approaches. One of possible approaches is presented by the first author, which involves using linearized relations, derived from exact non-linear equations of deformable solid body mechanics([3, 4, 5]). It should be remarked here that this approach has been widely used in problems of deformable bodies stability. As a criterion of the initiation of fracture the criterion of local instability near defects of the crack type is used. In these cases the process of loss of stability initiates the fracture process.展开更多
The Chinese translation for international legal instruments is an indispensable part in national political and economic fields. Apart from legal terminology, the syntactical features of international legal instruments...The Chinese translation for international legal instruments is an indispensable part in national political and economic fields. Apart from legal terminology, the syntactical features of international legal instruments also deserve study. They are easy to be seen in the use of some typical sentence patterns, such as long and complex sentence structures, passive voice and provisos or conditional clauses. Based on the parallel English-Chinese international conventions, this paper mainly evaluates the current Chinese translation and summarizes the use frequency and translation strategies for the conditional clause patterns. From the perspective of memetics, sentence patterns can be units of imitation, and the summary of and comments on them and their Chinese translation will promote the transmission across culture and help a legal translator improve his/her expertise, which will eventually be good for successful cooperation in international business.展开更多

Compared with traditional solid-state drives(SSDs),open-channel SSDs(OCSSDs)expose their internal physical layout and provide a host-based flash translation layer(FTL)that allows host-side software to control the inte...Compared with traditional solid-state drives(SSDs),open-channel SSDs(OCSSDs)expose their internal physical layout and provide a host-based flash translation layer(FTL)that allows host-side software to control the internal operations such as garbage collection(GC)and input/output(I/O)scheduling.In this paper,we comprehensively survey research works built on OCSSDs in recent years.We show how they leverage the features of OCSSDs to achieve high throughput,low latency,long lifetime,strong performance isolation,and high resource utilization.We categorize these efforts into five groups based on their optimization methods:adaptive interface customizing,rich FTL co-designing,internal parallelism exploiting,rational I/O scheduling,and efficient GC processing.We discuss the strengths and weaknesses of these efforts and find that almost all these efforts face a dilemma between performance effectiveness and management complexity.We hope that this survey can provide fundamental knowledge to researchers who want to enter this field and further inspire new ideas for the development of OCSSDs.展开更多
