Impact of web-based positive psychological intervention on emotions,psychological capital,and quality of life in gastric cancer patients on chemotherapy

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer is a malignant digestive tract tumor that originates from the epithelium of the gastric mucosa and occurs in the gastric antrum,particularly in the lower curvature of the stomach.AIM To evaluate the impact of a positive web-based psychological intervention on emotions,psychological capital,and quality of survival in gastric cancer patients on chemotherapy.METHODS From January 2020 to October 2023,121 cases of gastric cancer patients on chemotherapy admitted to our hospital were collected and divided into a control group(n=60)and an observation group(n=61)according to the admission order.They were given either conventional nursing care alone and conventional nursing care combined with web-based positive psychological interventions,respectively.The two groups were compared in terms of negative emotions,psychological capital,degree of cancer-caused fatigue,and quality of survival.RESULTS After intervention,the number of patients in the observation group who had negative feelings toward chemotherapy treatment was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);the Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire score was considerably higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the degree of cancer-caused fatigue was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05);and the Quality of Life Scale for Cancer Patients(QLQ-30)score was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Implementing a web-based positive psychological intervention for gastric cancer chemotherapy patients can effectively improve negative emotions,enhance psychological capital,and improve the quality of survival.

Psychological capital mediates the association between nurses'practice environment and work engagement among Chinese male nurses

Objectives:This study aims to investigate the environmental and individual factors contributing to male nurses'psychological well-being and to explore the psychological mechanisms that may explain the links between nurses'practice environment and work engagement,thereby presenting the implications for nurse managers.Methods:A total of 161 male nurses from three tertiary first-class hospitals in Changsha City in China participated in the study.We collected the data using the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index,the Psychological Capital Questionnaire,and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale.Results:Scores of male nurses'practice environment(2.88±0.31),psychological capital(4.42±0.62),and work engagement(3.17±1.39)were all above the midpoint;however,the subscales"the nursing staffing and resources adequacy"(2.72±0.48),"hope"(4.33±0.72),and"dedication"(2.96±1.61)scored lowest.Nurses'practice environment and psychological capital positively predicted nurses'work engagement;psychological capital fully mediated the influence of nurses'practice environment on work engagement.Conclusions:Creating a supportive nursing practice environment can increase male nurses'work engagement by developing their psychological capital.Nurse managers can then provide reasonable workload and pathways for male nurses to achieve goals,thereby fostering their hope.

The Relationship Between Positive Psychological Capital and Job Burnout: A Study of Thai Airways International Flight Attendants

This study investigates the relationship between levels of positive psychological capital (PsyCap) and burnout among Thai flight attendants who are currently working for Thai Airways International. The sample included 305 flight attendants. The results indicate that the perceptions of their burnout level is low (mean = 2.10), and degree of their PsyCap is moderate (mean = 3.73);the aggregate of PsyCapand the burnout levels are found to be significantly negative (r =-0.42). All four components of PsyCap are negatively related to the level of burnout. The paper discusses the future research agenda. The implications of these findings and benefits of developing PsyCap for organisations are also discussed in the light of these findings.

Mediating effect of undergraduate nursing students’ professional commitment on positive psychological capital and learning burnout

Objective:The objective of this study is to explore the mediating role of professional commitment of undergraduate nursing students between positive psychological capital(PsyCap)and learning burnout.Materials and Methods:A cluster sampling method was used to survey 442 students of a bachelor’s degree in freshman to the junior in a medical college in Shaanxi Province.Results:Professional commitment was positively related to positive PsyCap(=0.487,P<0.01),while positive PsyCap and professional commitment were negatively related to learning burnout(r=−0.456,r=−0.411,P all<0.01).There are certain mediating effects of professional commitment in the relationship between positive PsyCap and learning burnout.The mediating effect value of professional commitment is−0.065,accounting for 16.08%of the total effect.Conclusion:Nursing educators in medical colleges and universities should focus on developing and training the positive PsyCap of undergraduate nursing students,thereby enhancing and stabilizing their professional commitment level and reducing the risk of learning burnout.

Mindfulness Intervention on Adolescents’Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Capital during the COVID-19 Pandemic:A Randomized Controlled Trial

Background:Since the outbreak of COVID-19 caused adults suffer from mental disorders,it would be an essen-tial for psychologist to help individuals overcome mental disorders.Objective:This study aim to explore whether the intervention of mindfulness is an efficient method to enhance adolescents’emotional intelligence(EI)and psychological capital(PC)to provide a theoretical basis and future directions for both targeted crisis intervention and psychological trauma recovery plans.Design:This research was designed as randomized controlled trial and total of 798 students were evaluated statistically.Methods:We used paired-sample t-tests and repeated measures ANOVA to compare every factor defined above by time and group.Then,we used Mplus to build LGCM to examine the trajectory of changes in EI and PC in the experimental group.Results and Conclusions:(1)The EI and PC scores had significantly different time points in the experimental group but not in the control group.(2)EI and PC tended to increase with intervention,and there were significant individual differences in the initial level and development speed.(3)Individuals’EI could promote the growth of PC.This research indicated that mindfulness should be given increasing consideration to enhance mental health during the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19.

Psychological Capital Status of Left-Behind Rural Children in China and Its Relationship with Mental Health

Background:The mental health of left-behind rural children of China has become a prominent social problem.At the same time,psychological capital has become a positive psychological resource to promote personal growth.However,the relationship between psychological capital and mental health of left-behind rural children has not been explored.Method:A total of 332 left-behind rural children were investigated using a questionnaire of psychological capital and mental health scale.The psychological capital status of left-behind rural children and its impact on mental health were analyzed.Results:(1)Left-behind rural children were found to have a psychological capital score of was 3.16±0.56;Gender,age,grade,and school style had no significant effect on psychological capital.(2)Left-behind rural children obtained a mental health score of 2.21±0.5 G and gender,age,grade,and school style had no significant effect on mental health.(3)A significant negative correlation is found between psychological capital and mental health scores of left-behind rural children.Regression analysis shows that psychological capital is negatively correlated with mental health scores.Conclusion:The psychological capital of left-behind rural children can positively predict their mental health,and thus developing the former can promote the latter.

A Study on Psychological Capital of Cultivating High-quality Professional Farmers in the Background of Rural Revitalization

Under the background of rural revitalization,high-quality professional farmers are the backbone of modern agriculture.The cultivation of high-quality professional farmers has developed rapidly and achieved particularly obvious results.The number and quality of professional farmers have been continuously improved,and the scope and level of security have been continuously improved,and remarkable achievements have been made.The significance of studying it lies in that,under the trend of developing modern agriculture,the change of psychological capital of high-quality professional farmers as the object of cultivation has an important influence on the effect of cultivation.Studying the change of psychological capital of high-quality professional farmers can better improve the enthusiasm of high-quality professional farmers and improve their sense of self-efficacy,cultivate optimism,increase resilience in the face of difficulties,and enhance hope for better development.By referring to relevant literature,the author learned the current research status of many aspects of the cultivation of high-quality professional farmers in China,and had a certain understanding of its current situation.At the same time,the cultivation of high-quality professional farmers in Shanghai is in the forefront of the whole country.The author takes the leaders of Shanghai Agricultural Cooperatives as the investigation objects,and based on the social capital theory,studies their psychological capital situation and the influence of external factors on psychological capital situation.Psychological capital emphasizes who you are and what you want to be,while social capital emphasizes who you know and focuses on networks and connections.It is hoped that this study can provide suggestions on how to effectively increase the psychological capital of high-quality professional farmers.

Improving job satisfaction of Chinese nurses: the positive effects of structural empowerment and psychological capital

Objectives:This study examined the influence of Chinese nurses’personal resources(psychological capital)and access to workplace resources(structural empowerment)on their job satisfaction.Method:A cross-sectional study was designed during the period of January to April 2018.An anonymous questionnaire containing demographic characteristics sheet,Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire,Conditions for Work Effectiveness Questionnaire-II and psychological capital(PsyCap)was issued to 480 registered nurses in Tianjin,China.A total of 462 respondents became our subjects.Hierarchical regression was performed to explore the factors associated with job satisfaction.Results:The average Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire score was 65.68±12.35 in our study population.Hierarchical regression analysis showed that structural empowerment(β=0.421,P<0.01),PsyCap(β=0.227,P<0.01) and educational level(β=0.061,P<0.05) were positively associated with job satisfaction.Conclusion:The job satisfaction of Chinese nurses was at a moderate level.Structural empowerment was the most crucial predictor of job satisfaction,followed by PsyCap.Therefore,nursing administrators should take measures such as building an authorized work environment and improving nurses’PsyCap in order to promote job satisfaction among Chinese nurses.

An Analysis of Relationship between Psychological Capital of New Generation of Migrant Workers and Their Education Background

This paper selects works of new generation migrant workers in partial enterprises in Guangzhou as the research samples, collects data by questionnaire surveys and makes the statistic analysis on date. As average values suggested, the psychological capital of new generation migrant workers is located in higher medium level. It exists positive relationship between education background and psychological capital. Finally, propose related suggestions from vertical and horizontal aspects such as from government to school and education funds to education form.

The Influence of Social Support and Psychological Capital Enhancement to the New Generation of Migrant Workers Integrating into the City

The new generation of migrant workers are the main urban construction team in China＇s economic development, they play an indispensable role.？However, the social integration of this group has been hampered by many factors. Views of this paper is that social support and psychological capital enhancement have a significant impact on the new generation of migrant workers integrated into the city. Finally, propose strategies to facilitate this group more easily integrate into city life.

Clinical Effect Observation of Constructing PERMA Model in Psychological Intervention for Patients with Chronic Cancer Pain

Background:The constructing PERMA model in psychological intervention was applied to patients with chronic cancer pain to provide data reference for reducing pain,fear of cancer recurrence,and improving the level of psychological capital.Aim:To explore the clinical effects of constructing PERMA model in psychological intervention for patients with chronic cancer pain.Methods:A total of 98 patients with chronic cancer pain admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were randomly divided into two groups,49 cases in each group.The control group received routine intervention,while the research group constructed PERMA model based on the routine intervention for psychological intervention.The pain severity,fear of cancer recurrence,psychological capital and quality of life before and after intervention were compared between the two groups.Results:After two months of intervention,the pain in the research group was milder than that in the control group(p<0.05).The scores and total scores of all dimensions of fear of cancer recurrence in the research group were lower than those in the control group(p<0.05).The scores and total scores of each dimension of psychological capital in the research group were higher than those in the control group(p<0.05).The scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the research group were higher than those in the control group(p<0.05).Conclusion:The PERMA model constructed in psychological interventions for patients with chronic cancer pain can assist analgesic medications to reduce pain and alleviate the fear of cancer recurrence,increase the level of psychological capital,and thus improve quality of life.

Association of festival observance with psychological distress in a rural Japanese community

Introduction: A growing body of evidence suggests that social capital improves mental health. However, the association between the observance of festivals and mental health has not yet been investigated in depth by public health researchers. The purpose of this study is to examine whether festival observance is associated with psychological distress. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey of 17,525 residents aged 40 to 79 who lived in a rural town in northern Japan. We assessed each participant’s psychological distress level, social capital and festival observance via a questionnaire. We performed multiple logistic regression analyses to examine the association of festival observance with psychological distress. Results: A total of 11,649 residents responded to this survey (a response rate of 66.5%). The group who responded that their community did not hold festivals was negatively associated with psychological distress, even after adjusting for socio-demographic characteristics (OR = 1.71, 95% CI 1.49-1.97). After adjusting for both socio-demographics and social capital, the association became weaker, but was still significant (OR = 1.27, 95% CI 1.10-1.48). Conclusions: Festival observance was associated with psychological distress in a rural Japanese community. It seems that festival observance is a factor to be taken into consideration in mental health promotion in the community.

The Relationship between Social Support and the Parenting Sense of Competence of Preschoolers’Fathers:The Mediator Role of Psychological Capital

Social support is an essential source of support for preschool children’s fathers to alleviate parenting anxiety,deal with parenting pressure,improve parenting methods,and enhance parenting sense of competence.Psychological capital serves as a critical psychological resource for preschoolers’fathers,helping them cope with parenting stress and enhancing parenting efficacy.To explore the mediating mechanism of psychological capital between social support and the parenting sense of competence of preschoolers’fathers,this study employs stratified sampling to survey 678 fathers from three cities of Henan province in China.The survey instruments mainly consist of the Social Support Rating Scale,Psychological Capital Questionnaire,and Parenting Sense of Competence Scale.Research findings show that social support,psychological capital,and fathers’parenting sense of competence are at the middle level.Significant positive correlations exist among social support,psychological capital,and parenting sense of competence.Social support can positively predict fathers’parenting sense of competence,while psychological capital partially mediates between social support and parenting sense of competence.Therefore,it is possible to increase social support for preschool children’s fathers and improve their psychological capital to relieve their parenting pressure,enhance their parenting participation,and strengthen their parenting sense of competence.

Abusive Supervision and Psychological Capital： A Mediated Moderation Model of Team Member Support and Supervisor-Student Exchange

Abstract Embedded in higher educational settings, this study examines the relationship between abusive supervision and psychological capital and the mechanism through which abusive supervision and team member support interact to influence psychological capital with supervisor-student exchange mediating the interaction with psychological capital. Data collected from 222 graduate students in six Chinese universities supports our mediated moderation model： abusive supervision negatively relates to psychological capital and supervisor-student exchange mediates the positive moderating effect of team member support on the relationship between abusive supervision and psychological capital. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

上下级工作与私人关系对员工越轨创新行为的差异性研究

在整合人情-面子理论和资源保存理论的基础上,通过Bootstrapping和RWA-Web两种方法对7家企业的257份多时点追踪调查数据进行分析,比较领导-成员交换关系和上下级私人关系影响员工越轨创新行为的直接效应和中介效应的差异。研究结果表明:领导-成员交换关系正向影响员工越轨创新行为;心理资本分别在领导-成员交换关系或上下级私人关系与员工越轨创新行为间发挥部分或完全中介作用;两类关系对员工越轨创新行为的积极影响存在差异,领导-成员交换关系的效应更强。

心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响:认知重评的中介效应和表达抑制的遮掩效应

目的:考察心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响以及认知重评的中介效应和表达抑制的遮掩效应。方法:利用心理资本问卷、情绪调节量表和压力知觉量表对1502名大学生进行问卷调查,采用SPSS 24.0进行描述性统计分析,采用PROCESS进行中介效应分析。结果:1压力知觉与心理资本(r=-0.67,P<0.001)、认知重评(r=-0.48,P<0.001)和表达抑制(r=-0.08,P<0.01)显著负相关,心理资本与认知重评(r=0.65,P<0.001)、表达抑制(r=0.18,P<0.001)显著正相关,认知重评与表达抑制(r=0.37,P<0.001)显著正相关;2中介效应结果表明,控制性别后,认知重评在心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响间具有中介效应,表达抑制在心理资本对大学生压力知觉的影响间具有遮掩效应。结论:通过提升大学生的心理资本、增加大学生对认知重评策略的使用频率和减少对表达抑制策略的使用频率来降低其感知的压力。

资本理论视域下肾移植患者工作适应的影响因素及路径

目的:中国肾移植的高手术量与存活率使更多患者在整个生命周期中处于与移植肾共存的状态,其中大部分患者为工作阶段的中青年,工作适应不良将引发患者的生活、自信心及未来发展受限。本研究基于资本理论视域探讨社会资本、心理资本以及人力资本对肾移植患者工作适应的影响并分析其路径。方法:采用便利抽样法选取2023年1月至4月就诊于苏州大学附属第一医院肾移植专病门诊的204例肾移植患者为研究对象,进行一般资料调查表、社会资本量表、心理资本量表、人力资本量表、工作适应量表调查,应用结构方程模型路径分析3个变量对工作适应的影响。结果:肾移植患者工作适应得分为58.09±9.00。结构方程模型结果显示:社会资本能够正向预测心理资本、人力资本和工作适应;社会资本还可以通过心理资本间接影响工作适应,同时也可以通过人力资本间接影响工作适应;人力资本可直接影响工作适应;心理资本对工作适应有直接影响,也可通过人力资本间接影响工作适应(均P<0.001)。结论:肾移植患者工作适应总体处于中等水平,但在任务掌握维度的得分较低。心理资本、人力资本和社会资本对肾移植患者工作适应具有积极影响。护理人员应重视社会资本、心理资本、人力资本相对较低的患者,可通过制订资本理论视域下的个性化护理措施帮助患者提高工作适应水平。

积极心理资本在老年增殖期糖尿病视网膜病变患者孤独感和健康促进行为间的中介作用

目的:探讨老年增殖期糖尿病视网膜病变(proliferative diabetic retinopathy, PDR)患者健康促进行为、孤独感和积极心理资本变量间的关系。方法:采用便利抽样法,选取2021年5月至2022年10月安徽省芜湖市眼科医院的205例住院老年PDR患者,以中文版健康促进生活方式量表、孤独感量表和糖尿病视网膜病变积极心理资本问卷对患者进行调查,使用SPSS 27.0进行Pearson相关分析和多元线性回归分析,运用process软件程序中的模型4进行中介效应分析。结果:老年PDR患者的健康促进行为与孤独感呈显著负相关(P<0.001),与积极心理资本呈正相关(P<0.001)。Bootstrap检验结果显示,积极心理资本在老年PDR患者孤独感和健康促进行为间的中介效应为-13.62,95%CI为(-0.211,-0.071),占总效应的48.13%。结论:积极心理资本在孤独感和健康促进行为间起部分中介作用,护理人员应积极开展以影响健康促进行为路径为依据的干预策略,以达到促进健康行为,提高生活质量目的。

脑卒中患者夫妻心理资本干预方案的构建

目的 构建脑卒中患者夫妻心理资本干预方案,为提升脑卒中患者夫妻的心理资本水平提供参考。方法 以心理资本干预模型与二元疾病管理理论为指导,参考国内外相关文献构建脑卒中患者夫妻心理资本干预方案,对18名专家开展2轮德尔菲专家咨询。结果 2轮问卷有效回收率均为100%,专家权威系数为0.885。最终干预方案包括8次干预,23条干预措施。结论 构建的脑卒中患者夫妻心理资本干预方案具有科学性和较好的专家认可度。后续将在康复期脑卒中患者及配偶中应用,评估实施效果,验证干预方案的有效性和可行性。

三级甲等医院护士职业认同感、心理资本、社会支持的相关性分析

目的:探讨三级医院护士职业认同感的现状,分析心理资本、社会支持对职业认同感的影响。方法:采用便利抽样方法选取三级甲等医院415名护士为研究对象,采用护士职业认同感评定量表(PIS)、心理资本问卷中文修订版(PCQ-R)和领悟社会支持量表(PSSS)以问卷星的形式进行调查。结果:护士职业认同感、心理资本、社会支持总分分别为(120.01±23.72)分、(98.45±18.31)分和(73.36±11.61)分。护士职业认同感与心理资本(r=0.916,P<0.01)、社会支持(r=0.728,P<0.01)均呈正相关。护士心理资本可正向预测职业认同感(β=1.020,P<0.01),社会支持在其中起到调节作用(β=0.005,P<0.01)。结论:护士的职业认同感仍有待提升,医院护理管理者可通过多方面干预措施提高护士的心理资本及社会支持水平,进一步提高护士职业认同感。
