Computation Tree Logic Model Checking of Multi-Agent Systems Based on Fuzzy Epistemic Interpreted Systems

Model checking is an automated formal verification method to verify whether epistemic multi-agent systems adhere to property specifications.Although there is an extensive literature on qualitative properties such as safety and liveness,there is still a lack of quantitative and uncertain property verifications for these systems.In uncertain environments,agents must make judicious decisions based on subjective epistemic.To verify epistemic and measurable properties in multi-agent systems,this paper extends fuzzy computation tree logic by introducing epistemic modalities and proposing a new Fuzzy Computation Tree Logic of Knowledge(FCTLK).We represent fuzzy multi-agent systems as distributed knowledge bases with fuzzy epistemic interpreted systems.In addition,we provide a transformation algorithm from fuzzy epistemic interpreted systems to fuzzy Kripke structures,as well as transformation rules from FCTLK formulas to Fuzzy Computation Tree Logic(FCTL)formulas.Accordingly,we transform the FCTLK model checking problem into the FCTL model checking.This enables the verification of FCTLK formulas by using the fuzzy model checking algorithm of FCTL without additional computational overheads.Finally,we present correctness proofs and complexity analyses of the proposed algorithms.Additionally,we further illustrate the practical application of our approach through an example of a train control system.

The Ethical Choice of Business English Interpreters under Chesterman’s Model of Translation Ethics

This paper explores the ethical challenges encountered by business English interpreters using Chesterman’s Model of Translation Ethics,set against the context of economic globalization and the“Belt and Road”initiative.With the increasing demand for interpreters,the paper delves into the ongoing discussion about the role of AI in translation and its limitations,especially concerning cultural subtleties and ethical issues.It highlights the importance of human interpreters’cross-cultural understanding and the ethical principles that inform their work,such as the Ethics of Representation,Service,Communication,Norm-based Ethics,and Commitment.Moreover,the paper examines how these ethical models are applied in practical business situations,including business banquets,business negotiations,business talks and business visits,etc.,and investigates the cultural misunderstandings that may occur during these interactions.The study concludes that although AI provides efficiency and cost savings,human interpreters are essential for their capacity to handle the intricacies of cross-cultural communication with cultural awareness and ethical discernment.

Effects and Causes of VR-Supported Interpreting Learning Environment on the Interpretation Classroom Anxiety of Student Interpreter

Interpreting activity is considered a high-anxiety activity due to its immediacy, multitasking, complexity of cognitive processing, and uncertainty of cognitive processing. Research has shown that interpreting anxiety, as the biggest emotional obstacle in the interpreting process, is the main emotional factor that leads to individual differences in interpreting. Students often claim to have fear or anxiety behaviors in interpreting exams, interpreting competitions, and interpreting classes. However, the research on interpreting teaching attaches importance to the cultivation of language knowledge, cultural knowledge, and interpreting skills, and does not pay enough attention to emotional factors such as motivation and anxiety in interpreting learning, which makes it difficult for the cultivated interpreters to meet the requirements of professional practice. In recent years, virtual reality technology (VR) has been gradually applied in the field of foreign language and interpreting teaching for creating a real, interactive and experiential language learning environment. Situated Learning Theory stresses that the fundamental mechanism for learning to take place is for individuals to participate in the real context in which knowledge is generated, and to realize the construction of knowledge through the interaction with the community of practice and the environment. Virtual reality technology can satisfy the needs of language learners for real contexts by providing learners with immersive, imaginative and interactive scenario simulations, and has a certain positive effect on alleviating learning anxiety. Therefore, relying on the virtual simulation course “United Nations Kubuqi International Desert Ecological Science and Technology Innovation International Volunteer Language Service Practical Training System”, this paper adopts a combination of quantitative and qualitative analyses to investigate the interpretation anxiety level of the interpreter trainees and the factors affecting them in the VR situation to help them discover effective responses to interpreter anxiety.

The Inspiration of The Interpreter's Roles to College English Teaching

Jef Verschueren is the representative of European Continental pragmatic thought.He puts forward a new theory that pragmatics is a perspective on language and he uses the theory of adaptation to analyze pragmatics."The general concern for the study of linguistic pragmatics is to understand the meaningful functioning of a language as a dynamic process operating on context-structure relationships at various levels of salience"(Verschuren 2000:69).The focal points in contexts are the utterer and the interpreter,for the physical,social and mental aspects of contexts are activated by language users’cognitive processes.Verschueren divided interpreter’s roles into five types:addressee,side participant,bystander,listener-in and eavesdropper,which can explain the adaptation of context and language choices.This is also applicable in college English classroom as the English class is also a context.At present students taught at the same time by the same teacher do not master the knowledge at the same level.One of the reason is that students are not engaged in the class at the same level.According to the Verschueren’s theory,the best English teaching class is one that each student in the addressee of teachers.Addressee is a metaphor which means everyone should follow the teachers’explanation carefully and take part in the teaching activities.It has something to do with interaction theory,which considers students as active individuals but not passive receivers.One of the common interaction patterns is questioning.In this thesis,the question how to make students addresses through adoption of questioning approach in college English class will be researched.

OFF LINE INTERPRETER OF AGENT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE AOPLID

AOPLID is a novel agent oriented programming language whose theoretical framework is the existed situation calculus theory and agent model based on intention driven manner. An AOPLID program is represented in set manner. In this paper, an off line AOPLID interpreter in Prolog is implemented, based on the off line AOPLID program semantics. At the same time, the set of rules is given which transforms an AOPLID program represented by sets into Prolog clauses so that it can be interpreted by the off line interpreter. Finally, the sound codes of the off line interpreter are listed.

Liaison Interpreters’Empowerment under Michel Foucault’s Thought of Power

Michel Foucault’s thought of power believes that everyone within a relational network plays a role and holds certain power in hand to stabilize and strengthen the function of the network.Liaison interpreters,clients,and the communication context are three most important components of the communication network.During the interpreting process,interpreters hold some power in hand and they will use this power when necessary through the action of empowerment.In this paper,with analysis on liaison interpreters’empowerment under different occasions,three kinds of empowerment can be concluded;liaison interpreters empower themselves;liaison interpreters empower clients;interpreters empower context.It also proves that proper empowerment could facilitate the communication while over-empowerment could hinder the communication.

A Study on Student Interpreters＇ Note-Taking, Interpreting Process and Output

Interpretation, either consecutive or simultaneous, demands more advanced linguistic skills as well as higher cognitive strategies than translation. This paper investigates the characteristics of the notes taken by student interpreters in relation to the output and the process of interpretation with the purpsoe of identifying the role of note-taking in the process of interpretation, its relations with the production quality, and the factors that constrain the development of the students＇ potential as future interpreters. Statistical and qualitative analysis of the notes and think-aloud protocol reveals that students majoring in English should further improve their overall English proficiency. Note-taking, either in source language or target language, or both, should be practiced until students are able to use it expertly. Inspite of the importance of note-taking in interpretation, students should be trained to rely more on memory rather than solely on the notes.

Interpreter’s Position in the Process of Interpretation

With the rapid development of globalization, the whole world interweaves unprecedentedly. The frequent global communication is in desperate need of qualified translators and interpreters which draws great attention and invokes discussion about the standard of translation. Is the widely acknowledged criterion—neutral position a possible and necessary regulation to justify professional translators? This essay will illustrate that the interpreters influenced by environment, culture and other factors can’t perform with an absolute neutral position. Furthermore, the creativity of interpreters, who conduct heuristic work instead of algorithmic and reduplicated work, play a pivotal role in qualified work and their long-term development on the basis of Skopos Theory and classical examples, which testifies that it is improper to regard neutral position as a significant standard to evaluate the quality of interpreters.
