This paper analyzes the code tracking performance of early-minus-late power (EMLP) discriminator of GNSS receivers in the presence of multipath and CW interference. An analytical expression of the code tracking error is suggested for EMLP discriminator, and it can be used to assess the effect of multipath and CW interference. The derived expression shows that the combined effects include three components: multipath component;CW interference component and the combined component of multipath and CW interference. The effect of these components depends on some factors which can be classified into two categories: the receiving environment and the receiver parameters. Numerical results show how these factors affect the tracking performances. It is shown that the proper receiver parameters can suppress the combined effects of multipath and CW interference.展开更多

Test methods often require large environments to produce long delays that are enough to affect the communications between a transmitter and receiver. This paper presents a simple, compact test method to produce and isolate effects from multipath interference simulating these effects produced by discrete distances. Signals with controlled delays can be created and combined using multiple antennas in two isolated small (2 foot/60 cm) cubes constructed with microwave absorber. We demonstrated this with a pulsed RF signal and a signal from an 802.11 n access point with an internal antenna. This method can be further extended to provide a compact test-bed for almost any wireless interference or coexistence test.展开更多

This paper models CDMA system from the perspective of mobile radio channels corrupted by additive white noise generated by multipath and multiple access interferences. The system’s receiver is assisted using different combining diversity techniques. Performance analysis of the system with these detection techniques is presented.
