In this work, the influence of discharge modes on the excimer XeCl emission (308 nm) has been studied by adding helium gas into the xenon and chlorine mixture. It is found that the transition from filament discharge to glow /filament - combined discharge leads to the decrease in excimer emission. We are the first one to use a flowing water film as an outer transparent electrode, and achieve a higher UV intensity, compared with the case by using a metal mesh as the outer electrode. The influence of the gas temperature both in the reactor Tg and in a discharge channel Tc on the excimer emission has been analyzed preliminarily. Finally, it has been expected that the replacement of chlorine gas Cl2 by another chlorine gas may reduce the heat generated in the discharge processes and give rise to the excimer XeCl* radiation. 展开更多

Based on the analysis of the Asian lower-level jet stream, this paper indicates that having shifted to the Bay of Bengal, this large-scale lower-level jet(LLJ) develops into two branches: the northern branch (NB) which is a strong southwest flow moving into the inland of China along the southeast side of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau and then moving eastward to Japan along the north side of the subtropical high, and the southern branch (SB) which continues to be a west flow and travels into the West Pacific across the Indo-China Peninsula along the south side of the monsoon trough. Above the two branches are two synoptic-scale transient tubular monsoon circulation systems, the northern branch being a subtropical monsoon stream tube (SMST) and the southern branch a tropical monsoon stream tube (TMST). Their ascending branches, corresponding to a subtropical monsoon rain belt and a tropical monsoon rain belt respectively, bear considerable influence on the weather over China. 展开更多

Numerical Study for Characteristic Change of Asian Summer Monsoon Circulation and Its Influence Mechanism during the EI Nino Period

In this paper, the relation between Asian summer monsoon circulation and sea surface temperature anomalies over equatorial central-eastern Pacific is investigated by using a global spectral model. This model has nine layers in the vertical and the model variables are represented in the horizontal as truncated expansions of the surface spherical harmonics with rhomboidal truncation at wave number 15. The model involves comparatively complete physical processes and parameterizations with mountains.Using the above model, two experimental schemes are designed, namely control case and anomalous sea surface temperature case. The above two schemes are respectively integrated for forty days and the simulated results are obtained from the last 30-day averaged simulations.The simulations show that positive SST anomalies over equatorial central-eastern Pacific weakens Indian monsoon circulation,decreases precipitation in Indian sub-continent whereas it intensifies East Asian monsoon circulation and increases precipitation in East Asian area. All these results reflect the characteristics of Asian summer monsoon during the El Nino period. In this paper, SST anomalies over equatorial central-eastern Pacific have a direct influence on the intensity and position of subtropical high via the wave train over Northern Hemisphere, which is similar to that suggested by Nitta(1987) and the wave train over Southern Hemisphere has an influence on the intensity of Muscarene high and Australia high resulting in affecting cross equatorial flow. As a result, atmospheric interior heat sources and sinks are redistributed because of the change of cross equatorial flow. And the response of atmosphere to the new heat source and sink has a significant influence on Asian summer monsoon. 展开更多

The orientation distribution of recrystallization grains formed during annealing, as well as their misorientation relationship to the deformation matrix in cold rolled FeCo alloy have been investigated. It was found that most of the recrystallization nuclei were located near the boundary area with rather random orientations, and their misorientation angles to the deformation matrix were generally very high. However a few nuclei were also observed inside the deformation grains, to which they had very similar orientations. Therefore the misorientation angles between the nuclei and the deformation matrix were generally very low. The orientation and the misorientation distributions of the nuclei have very strong influence on the recrystallization process which could result in a very weak recrystallization texture. Tne global change of climate and its influence on the cropping system in China have been investigated in this paper.It is found that the temperature was increased during the last decade and the precipitation decreased in northern China and increased in southern China during the last 30 years.The sea level has been rising by about 21—26 cm in the coastal areas south of 30°N in China during the last 100 years. The most of results as simulated by the general circulation models(GCMs)show that the temperature increase would amount to about 2°—4°C in the most parts of China and precipitation and soil moisture might be decreased in northern China and increased in sourthern China due to doubling of carbon dioxide(CO_2). The effects of doubled CO_2 on growth period and climatic yield capability in China have been estimated roughly.It is shown that the regions of the growth period in China would be moved northward about five degrees latitude and the climatic yield capability might be increased by about 10% in the most parts of China. 展开更多

The self oscillation periodically occurs and vanishes with the increasing velocity of the gas flow.A theoretical model is presented based on the experiment investigation. Simulation of the acoustic process has been performed and conclusions consistent with the experiment can be drawn from the theoretical model, which explains the exPeriment phenomena quite well. At last, the comparison between phenomena of the self oscillation and some experiments of LRE indicates that some instability phenomena in oxygen/hydrogen propellant rocket engine may be the related to self oscillation in coaxial injectors 展开更多
