Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), which enables mobile terminals to offload computation tasks to servers located at the edge of the cellular networks, has been considered as an efficient approach to relieve the heavy computational burdens and realize an efficient computation offloading. Driven by the consequent requirement for proper resource allocations for computation offloading via MEC, in this paper, we propose a Deep-Q Network (DQN) based task offloading and resource allocation algorithm for the MEC. Specifically, we consider a MEC system in which every mobile terminal has multiple tasks offloaded to the edge server and design a joint task offloading decision and bandwidth allocation optimization to minimize the overall offloading cost in terms of energy cost, computation cost, and delay cost. Although the proposed optimization problem is a mixed integer nonlinear programming in nature, we exploit an emerging DQN technique to solve it. Extensive numerical results show that our proposed DQN-based approach can achieve the near-optimal performance。展开更多

MTs that have tasks offloading requirements in the same service area form a population. MTs in one population acquire different wireless and computation resources by selecting different service providers( SPs). An evolutionary game is formulated to model the SP selection and resource allocation of the MTs. The cost function of the game consists of energy consumption, time delay and monetary cost. The solutions of evolutionary equilibrium( EE) include the centralized algorithm based on replicator dynamics and the distributed algorithm based on Q-learning.Simulation results show that both algorithms can converge to the EE rapidly. The differences between them are the convergence speed and trajectory stability. Compared with the existing schemes, the JRA-EG scheme can save more energy and have a smaller time delay when the data size becomes larger. The proposed scheme can schedule the wireless and computation resources reasonably so that the offloading cost is reduced efficiently.展开更多

These electronic devices pro-vide many benefits to society. However, there have been a number of reports of electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) related to the use of electronic devices. The symptoms of EHS may include headaches, fatigue, tinnitus, dizziness, memory loss, irregular heartbeat, and skin trouble. Since the pathogenic mechanism of such conditions is not yet clear, further research is required. This report shows how a subject’s dizziness and joint mobility disorder, caused by electromagnetic waves emitted by electronic devices, were cured by removing an onlay from the patient’s mouth and replacing it with a gold alloy onlay. The result indicates that the subject’s symptoms were caused by EHS. Although the symptoms were improved after the dental treatment, the underlying mechanism of the symptoms and the reason why this treatment is successful remain unclear. Further research is required to clarify these issues.展开更多

The diagnosis of LJMS is based on clinical features: progression of painless stiffness of hands and fingers, fixed flexion contractures of the small hand and foot joints, impairment of fine motion and impaired grip strength in the hands. As the syndrome progresses, it can also affect other joints. It is important to properly diagnose such a complication as LJMS. Moreover, it is important to diagnose LJMS because it is known that the presence of LJMS is associated with micro- and macrovascular complications of diabetes. Due to the lack of curative treatment options, the suggested method to prevent or decelerate the development of LJMS is improving or maintaining good glycemic control. Daily stretching excercises of joints aim to prevent or delay progression of joint stiffness, may reduce the risk of inadvertent falls and will add to maintain quality of life.展开更多

In this mechanism, the joint RA and AC problem can be formulated as an optimization problem with the aim of maximizing the number of admitted users while simultaneously minimizing the number of allocated channels. Since the primal problem is modeled to be a mixed integer nonlinear problem(MINLP), we attain the suboptimal solutions to the primal MINLP by convex relaxation. Additionally, with the global information collected by the SDMNs controller, a centralized joint RA and AC(CJRA)algorithm is proposed by the Lagrange dual decomposition technique to obtain the global optimum. Meanwhile, we propose an OpenFlow rules placement strategy to realize CJRA in an efficient way. Moreover, a distributed algorithm is also developed to find the local optimum, showing a performance benchmark for the centralized one. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed centralized algorithm admits more users compared with the distributed.展开更多
